17 NEW FAMILY

Li Jie waked out of Li mansion without looking back. It was like a heavy burden was lifted from his shoulders. He never thought that his family was a burden but looks like he was wrong.

From this day on, He will live for himself and treasure himself.

He drove back to his apartment while enjoying the scenery. He knew that during the apocalypse, He won't be able to look at the lively streets anymore.

He took double time to reach his apartment. Just as he opened the door, His gaze fell on the bundle of silver hair sleeping near his feet. His heart was filled with joy looking at Ying Ying who was waiting for him at the door sleeping at the cold floor. Li Jie picked him up in his arms and walked to his bedroom.

Ying Ying closed its eyes again after feeling that the intruder was Li Jue. He made himself comfortable in Li Jie's arms.

Looking at Ying Ying snuggling deeper into his chest. Li Jie's eyes were full of warmth . He laid him down on his bed and covered him with a blanket.

Li Jie went to the bathroom to take a nice bath. he was prepared to face Li family and Bo Jing but still it wasn't easy for him to face his murderers. He took out some spirit water from his space and mixed it in his bathing water and soaked himself in it.

After bathing, He donned a bathrobe and went out to dry his hairs. six hours were complete. So, He was back in his original appearance. He dried his hair by a hairdryer which made his hair look extra soft and fluffy.

Ying Ying was up by now and looking at him with curiosity evident in his eyes.

" So, What happened " Ying Ying asked irritably when Li Jie didn't say a word.

" I left my family " Li Jie replied in his cold voice.

" Tell me the whole story " Ying Ying said impatiently.

Looking at Ying Ying being impatient Li Jie narrated him the whole incident and his relationship to Ying Ying ad said " Well, my motive to go there today was mainly to cut off my ties with Li Family " Li Jie said in his monotone voice.

" How dare they " Ying Ying roared, The golden markings shining more brightly than ever. His eyes taking a shade darker than purple. This time Ying Ying was truly angry " and you let them go just like that, I am going to kill them " Ying Ying roared. His mythical beast aura was overwhelming.

Li Jie looked at the fox who was getting angry for him. He took a step towards the fox and said as gently as possible " Ying Ying, we will take my revenge in the future but today, I had to do that. I don't have a family anymore-" Ying Ying spoke in between.

" This great one will be your family from now on. So, don't you dare say that you are alone or without any family. hmph " Ying Ying said in a loud voice.

Li Jie looked at the fox trying to act mighty and saying such an embarrassing thing with a straight face. Li Jie's eyes were filled with tears of happiiness.

" En, We are going to be together from now on. Lets take care of each other in the future " Li Jie said with a warm smile on his voice.

" Lets celebrate today with a good dinner and some wine " Li Jie said gently.

" Meat" Ying Ying grumbled.

Li Jie prepared a delicious meal with meat in it, Li Jie and Ying Ying ate the whole thing. His food was more delicious because he used spirit water in it.

" Ying Ying was tired after his meal so, he went over to Li Jie to pick him up and carry him.

Li Jie looked at the sly fox who was waiting for him to pick it up " Are you sure you are a fox and not just a lazy cat " He said with an amusing grin on his face.

" Hmph, This great one don't want to walk. So, you carry me " Ying Ying said haughtily.

Li Jie took an aged wine from his wine cellar, picked a glass and walked to the balcony with Ying Ying against his chest. He liked watching city at the night time that's why, he bought his apartment at top floor and He has never seen his other neighbor using his balcony. So, He didn't put a mask or anything to cover his appearance.

He had always like to dress freely in his home. So, He was only wearing his black silk bathrobe. He walked to the couch to sit down and put the wine bottle and glass on the nearby table. The atmosphere was perfect.

He looked down at Ying Ying with a smile. He was always alone. Today, Ying Ying was angry for him. He cared for him.

He stroked Ying Ying's fur lovingly. He picked him up and laid it on the couch with a thin blanket covering him. He knew that the fox was feeling tired after using his illusion technique.

He stood up and poured himself a glass of red wine and walked to the railing to take in the night view of the city. He won't be able to enjoy the view again.

Tomorrow, He would start working on his space and other things.

He was sitting on the railing, drinking wine and enjoying the scenery when he felt like someone was staring at him with an intense gaze with no malicious intent behind it. He turned his head in the direction where he felt the gaze coming from. But, there was no one there.
