39 LI JIE AND HE LUO
He Luo remained silent for half an hour. He had thought that the man would ask him something about his situation but the man didn't ask him a single thing and continued to drive as if he was not there in the first place.
" Does it happen everyday to you " He Luo asked with impatience evident in his voice. He tried very hard to remain silent but the man had no change.
" What " Li Jie asked back with his monotone voice.
" A man coming in front of your car, does it happen frequently to you " He Luo asked, unable to control his urge to ask the man.
" Once or twice " Li Jie replied with a bored voice.
He Luo was speechless after hearing the man's reply. " How can someone be so nonchalant about someone's life " he thought while gazing at Li Jie.
" My name is He Luo, sir and thank you for saving my life " He Luo deemed it necessary to introduce himself to the man who saved his life, so he initiated the conversation again by introducing himself first.
" it's not sir, it's Li Jie " Li Jie answered back.
He Luo was getting more and more irritated with handsome man. The man was the most exotic and beautiful person but he had some serious issues with his personality.
He Luo was so busy trying to get a reaction out of Li Jie that he forgot that he, himself was talking more than usual.
He Luo, who was an introvert by nature was more comfortable with the man in front of him than his family members. He knew that the man in front of him would drop him at the hospital and there were chances that he may not be able to see the man again in his life.
He gathered his courage and spoke " can you please not send me to the hospital " He Luo pleaded in a timid voice.
" why " Li Jie asked in his regular bored tone but he looked back at the young man in the backseat through the rearview mirror with a little interest.
" Iwannastaywithyou " He Luo said in one breath.
" What, speak clearly " Li Jie asked in an irritation.
" Can I stay with you " He Luo asked in a mosquito like voice.
Li Jie who was driving at a high speed, stepped hard on the brakes which caused He Luo and the fox who was sleeping to fall forward. Li Jie was stunned by He Luo's request. The young man was clearly afraid of him as the man was trembling like a leaf under his gaze but the man still wanted to live with him.
He Luo was pressing on his head as earlier his head collided with the front seat when Li Jie pressed on brake but he was quite satisfied with the result as Li Jie was finally showing some emotions on his face.
" I may not look like it but I am quite good at doing house chores" He Luo said with pride evident in his voice.
Li Jie laughed looking at the young man who was proudly declaring such a silly thing with a proud face.
" Where do you get the idea that I need a house worker or a butler " Li Jie asked in an amused tone, this time fully facing him.
He Luo was blown away by the beauty of the man when Li Jie faced him fully. The man in front of him was like a sculpture made up of purest white jade with soft silver hair framing his face. The god must have made him with extreme patience and hard work.
" Angel " He Luo muttered under his breath while looking at the man in front of him in daze.
" Well, I assure you that I am anything but an angel. Maybe a devil from the depths of hell " Li Jie said in a cold voice, looking straight in the eyes of He Luo.
He Luo felt like he would freeze under such a cold voice but strangely he knew that Li Jie would not harm him.
" No, you are not or you would have left me in the middle of nowhere for dying but you treated me and now you are taking me to the hospital, that's not something a bad man would do " He Luo said with a firm voice and looking straight at Li Jie.
" You are getting bolder, aren't you " Li Jie said in a deep voice, trying to intimidate He Luo.
" I just want to live with you " He Luo said, this time in a cute voice trying to melt Li Jie's heart.
" Nope, I don't have any use for you and your family must be looking for you " Li Jie answered back.
" I don't have any family left " He Luo said with a straight face as if he was talking about strangers instead of his family members.
Li Jie could see that the boy in front of him was a boy with some history but he didn't dwell much on it.
" Then go back to where you were living, before meeting me " Li Jie said in irritation, he didn't like talking and that too with a person he met for the first time.
He Luo recalled the place where he was held captive. He started trembling, his face turned pale in fright. He was having a panic attack just thinking about that place.
