Unexpected Change

Henry then comes into the room and saw the room was very different from what he can remember. Last time he came here was 2 months ago and now he can barely recognize it. Now the room is full of various book, paper and there is 2 computer on the corner.

Then he saw the black woman that Susan talked about. She looked like the usual black woman, there is no special feature of her. She is now typing on the computer, so Henry just watches her. Then Susan quickly approached her and whisper at her ear.

The black woman then quickly turn around and saw a man. She knows this man is the famous Susan boyfriend, Henry William. She surprised as he can enter the girl's dormitory, as Susan never her about this. She saw him approach her and handed his hand.

"Hello, my name is Henry William the boyfriend of Susan, you can call me Henry."

She then shook his hand and replied, "Hello Henry, my name is Condoleezza Rice, I'm Susan dorm mate and you can just call me Rice."

Henry feels familiar when he heard the name of Condoleezza Rice, but he just can't remember it. If someone in this era can be remembered by him, they must be someone that famous or he knows. But he sure doesn't know about this girl, so she must be someone that famous in the future.

But now is not the time to think about that so he set it aside. As this is the first time Henry meets with Rice, so Susan feels she should introduce Rice to him. Then Henry, Susan, and Rice go to the small living room and sit there.

Then Henry learns that Rice now is studying at Harvard Kennedy School which mean she is studying about politic. He surprised as most black people in this era especially the woman usually never study politic. The black people are very discriminated in this era, but it already better-compared to 1950s.

He then found that Rice is born at Alabama but then her family moved into Boston in 1969 because the racial segregation is so severe in the south, especially Alabama. So her family decided to move out to the north where the racism not so severe and finally settle at Boston.

Hearing that her family move out due to racism at South, Henry then asked, "If you move out to the North to evade racism, then why you studying politic? You know the black people is very discriminated, so if you want to be involved in Politic, that would be a very hard challenge especially you are a woman."

Rice immediately answered Henry question, "I know that if the black people want to be involved in Politic, it would be hard. But since the first black woman accepted into the Congress in 1968, I know the chance has already opened. That woman is Shirley Chrisholm, and since I heard a speech from her, I know it's time for the black especially the woman to spoke for herself." Rice explains with a passionate tone.

Henry just nodded while thinking as he sure Rice is someone who is famous in the future. But now with a limited clue, Henry can't determine who she is. So Henry continued to ask many things from her.

Henry learned that Rice joins an organization called National Black Feminist Organization founded by Shirley Chrisholm last year. Henry became more confused as he sure he never heard a black woman with the name of Condoleezza Rice with the characteristic described by her.

But as she can be familiar to him, it means she must be someone who famous in the future. Then he continued to ask various thing about her to get more clue. Susan just keeps silent in Henry side as she doesn't want to intervene in his business.

As Rice explaining many things about herself, Henry finally became more clear about who she is. But as he more clear who she is, the more he became confused as she shouldn't have the characteristic described by herself now.

But suddenly Henry got a revelation, would this be a Butterfly Effect caused by his existence? Henry not sure about this as many things still don't change to what he knows. But what if this era is a parallel universe?

Henry suddenly transmigrated from 2016 to 1973 by an unknown cause. But this not mean he Time Travelled to the past, this could be a Parallel Universe. Even though he not specially studied about the parallel universe and stuff related, but his intelligence now can basically guess many things that he doesn't know before.

His transmigrate is a mysterious thing itself, so he can't be sure what has changed caused by this. But he knows how he has changed the wheel of history by creating many things in advance like the novel, Microsoft, Apple, and Atari. This means the butterfly has begun to start the moment he writes Devotion of Suspect X.

Henry existence itself could cause some change in history like Condoleeza Rice. Henry sure Condoleezza Rice is a future American political scientist and diplomat. She served as the 66th United States Secretary of State, the second person to hold that office in the administration of President George W. Bush.

Rice was the first female African-American Secretary of State, as well as the second African-American Secretary of State (after Colin Powell), and the second female Secretary of State (after Madeleine Albright). Rice was President Bush's National Security Advisor during his first term, making her the first woman to serve in that position.

But to what Henry know, Rice shouldn't be here now. She should be studying at Denver University in Colorado now. But now proved she studying at Harvard Kennedy School mean something has changed. Henry not sure what more changes that already happened, but he would face it all.

But the discovery of this thing still shocked Henry as he never expects this. He curious what has changed, like would the future 'Henry' that born in 1980 would still be born? Now that he already transmigrated to 1973, does it mean that future 'Henry' would still there?

If future 'Henry' still be born, then would it affect his existence? This question is worth pondering as everyone has never experienced the same thing as he did. Now that the butterfly effect has already started, it means the future he knew would be partially wrong as something has changed. But he sure the general direction would not be changed yet, only some small thing has changed like Rice.

Henry then chatted with Rice for 2 hours about politic before stopped as now is the time for dinner. Now that he already can determine who Rice is, he wants to make Rice one of his 'pawn' in the politic. Rice would be an excellent candidate for his 'pawn' in politic as her mind is adept and flexible enough. If not because of that, she would not become the first black woman that occupied Secretary of States seat.
