2 The 50th Reaper

Rantaro Nakamura was your normal 18 year old with no meaning in life. After suffering the loss of his mother 10 years ago, he sank in a great depression where even therapists found it impossible to cure this boy and recommended that he should be seen with proper medical health.

Rantaro's father was forced to leave his son after the tragedy of his wife and didn't have any sence of will to keep him, all he could do was leave him in the streets. Rantaro didn't show hatred to his father, neither did he ever express any emotion, all he showed was cold stares that made feel like he was possessed.

People often ignore this boy saying, 'that kids stare is kind of scarying me' and 'we should run man, he could be a killer' and 'let's get away from that kid, his stare is freaking me out'

All of those Insults were nothing to a boy like Rantaro, all he gave them was a stare and said these words everytime someone passed him.

Was I a mistake? Why didn't I Die?

Rantaro said those words repeatedly, even in his sleep and that made the boy more frightening after every seconds passed.

People didnt accept him neither even help him, except for one. A women who was around her mid 20s approached the young boy and said "Hello, what is a boy like you doing here?"

Rantaro suddenly looked at her and said "Was I a mistake?" it looked like Rantaro was not speaking properly.

The stranger looked and ask this basic question, You tell me?, People around the area watched with fear in their eyes and feeling incredulous on what will happen to her.

Rantaro looked at her and repeated the question of "was I a mistake?" it was quick to realise to her that he doesn't have the answer to his own question, she changed her question and said "why don't we find out that answer by ourselves"

Rantaro for the first time asked a new question, "Why are you helping me?" the stranger gave a smile and said "a wise man once told me to always 'pay it forward' when it comes to kindness"

Which left Rantaro leaving himself with those words in his head, 'Always pay it forward'

The stranger asked what was his name, all he replied was "Rantaro" he felt a positive energy in this stranger and asked for her name, all she replied was "Martha".

Rantaro didn't have any intention's to disagree with what Martha had inside her, it made him feel like If she is his mother.

After meeting Martha, she took him to her home where she raised other kids, she introduced him to them at first they were scared but as they saw Rantaro, their Expression changed.

"Woah, I like that necklace you have".

"Where did you get it? "

"Don't you think that love is the best?"

"Seriously why care about that stuff?"

They all spoke at once and were arguing with each other, Martha whistled to stop and told them to introduce themselves.

The kids stopped introduced themselves, "I'm Joey, I'm the oldest of the family". "My name is Hope, I'm like the responsible one of the group". Joey and the others looked at her with angry looks. She tried to look innocent.

"Anyway, My name is Flora, unlike these two, I'm someone whose more about love and friendship". Joey and Hope kept on arguing on who was responsible, while the final kid introduced himself. "Hey I'm Roy, I'm the youngest and more of a loner to the others".
