14 Reason #12: Its Not True Love

**************

Her Friend

After the Prince left, Ivy continued to daze by herself in the room.

As if her internal processors were experiencing a long lag, slowly loading until the words finally came to her.

"I've just been confessed to."

Ivy blushed.

"Uwahhh... my whole life plus my previous life, I've never ever been confessed to before....."

Ivy recalled what happened earlier (in chapter 13). She can't help but scream like a little girl

"Kyaaaa.....!!!"

She places her hands on her chest. Her heart can't stop beating loudly like a drum.

"Heart, please stop. I can't think too well. I'm too old to feel like a young girl. This is not good for my health."

(Author: because she's actually 45 inside since she remembered her past life)

She couldn't stop her heart from beating. She felt like she was falling apart.

"I need to meditate!" and so she did, but it was useless.

"ARH!!!!!!! Why!! Why did he confess to me!! And with that face too!!! His pheromone attack is influencing me!

I have to DETOX! I need to talk to someone."

Ivy quickly ran out of her store and headed towards the Prime Minister's mansion.

The moment she arrives, she swiftly jumps out from the carriage and runs into the prime minister's mansion as fast as possible.

She no longer cares about mannerisms. She just wants to talk to someone and get rid of this feeling in her heart.

"GRACIE!"

She yelled as she ramped through Gracie's bedroom door.

"Ivy?????"

Gracie was surprised to see Ivy.

Ivy immediately ran towards Gracie and hugged her tightly.

"Ivy? What's wrong?"

Gracie had never seen Ivy act this way. Ivy has always shown herself as a very calm and composed young lady.

To see her being like this was something very new to Gracie.

"Would all of you leave the room, please? I would like to talk to Miss Ivy. Privately."

The servants left the room, leaving both of the ladies alone.

"Ivy, let's sit down and talk, ok? Tell me, what's wrong?"

"I ...I just want to talk to you."

Ivy continued to look down as she was afraid to show Gracie how her face looked like right now.

"Ok, whatever it is, you can tell me. I'm your friend, after all. I'm here for you."

Gracie firmly held Ivy's hand, trying to reassure her.

"His highness, he... he..."

Ivy tries her best to get the words out of her mouth, but her heart keeps pounding harder and harder while her hands shiver like she was outside in the middle of a cold winter.

When Gracie noticed Ivy shivering, she thought the Prince had done something terrible to her friend.

"His highness? What did he do? Did he do something to you?"

"He... he..."

While Ivy was still trying to get her words out, Gracie imagined the worst that had happened to her.

Inside Gracie's mind was an image of the Prince deflowering her precious friend.

Gracie's face turned black as she held Ivy's shoulder with rage.

"How Dare He Touch My Friend..... I'll kill him."

Gracie immediately stood up and was about to head towards the door to murder the Prince,

Ivy quickly held on to her and explained.

"No, wait !"

"Ivy! Let me go! I'll kill him! How dare he defile you!"

"Huh?"

Ivy was confused, not understanding what led her friend to think that way.

"His highness did nothing of the sort."

"Huh?" Gracie finally calms down. "so what did he do to you?"

"His highness .... he..he.."

then Ivy said it using the tiniest voice she had while she stutters,

"con....fuffess to me."

"Huh?"

Gracie couldn't hear her, so she pulled her ear closer while Ivy was forced to repeat herself.

"he... confess to me."

Upon hearing her words, Gracie looked at Ivy while Ivy's face turned wholesomely red.

Gracie started laughing out loud

"Hahahahahahahahahha"

While Ivy continues to drown in embarrassment.

"Please stop laughing at me....."

"I'm sorry, I really am. I just never saw you act like this before. It's just all too refreshing to me."

"Please, Gracie, I don't know what to do. I can't think straight. My heart couldn't stop pounding. I feel ill."

Gracie wanted to laugh as she had never seen her friend acting soo adorable before.

But she held in her laughter as she knew that her friend was scared and flustered.

"*cough* *cough*" Gracie casually coughs and asks, "Ok. So?"

"So what?"

"So? How do you feel? Do you like his highness or not?"

Ivy looked even more depressed as she didn't know the answer to her question;

Ivy thought she knew what love was. She thought she knew how this novel plot goes, but she became confused with everything she thought she knew after suddenly being confessed to.

She had been single all her life, and she was single in her past life, too, so the love that she knew only exist in web novels and fairy tales.

She didn't know what would Man's love actually look like or feel like. It was all too real for her.

A Man's love felt like an unknown substance. It scared her.

"I don't know. I never thought that his highness would feel that way towards me."

"I thought you cared for his highness."

"I do care about him, but I don't know what love is anymore. This shouldn't have happened."

"Why? Why did you think like that?"

This is because Ivy knows that she is not the female lead. This was not her love story, and she was not supposed to be his true love.

So why does the Prince like her right now? Is this supposed to be part of the novel's plot?

She wouldn't have known because she skipped the pages.

<But if it is, does that mean his highness suppose to fall in love with me first and then break up later because he felt I'm not true love?< p>

So am I suppose to be the girlfriend that the Prince cheats on and dump later for another woman?!>

Just thinking about the possibility of it made Ivy boil with rage.

"Ivy, are you ok? What are you thinking about so deeply again?"

Gracie looked at her as she took a long pause.

Ivy's anxiousness had disappeared. She felt that she finally knew what was going on.

This was just part of the evil plot that the author made for the villainess. The plot that's supposed to make her suffer.

<That F**king A**hole author !>

She finally held her head high and smirked.

"Ha! What was I thinking...  I should have seen this sooner."

Ivy's sudden change in character surprised Gracie.

"Ivy, are you ok? Are you feeling alright? Do you want me to call the doctor for you?"

"Huh?"

Ivy suddenly realizes Gracie being in the same room.

"Yes. I'm sorry, Gracie, for worrying you. I'm fine now."

"Are you sure? How bout his highness's confession? What are you going to do about it?"

"Uh, yes. I suddenly forgot about him."

(Author: it is true that Ivy suddenly forgot about the Prince because she was soo angry at the author after realizing that all of this was part of an evil plot for the villainess)

"Huh? How could you suddenly forget about his highness? He confesses to you, remember?

And You were so flustered about it just a moment ago."

Gracie couldn't comprehend what was going on in her friend's head. She never thought she would think Ivy to be this strange.

"Hoho," she let out a small chuckle, "I'm really am fine now."

Ivy smiled, trying to reassure Gracie.

Gracie let out a deep sigh as she felt tired with Ivy's sudden change in mood swings.

"So, what are you going to do with his highness confession? Are you not going to respond to his affection?"

"Hmm....."

Ivy deeply thought as she tried to analyze and think of a solution.

<currently, I would assume that the Prince thinks he loves me because has not met his true love, princess. So once does fall in love with princess, will then dump for her. However, what should be my biggest concern right now is if do go along storyline, possibility of D-day still come?< p>

But asking him to annul the engagement right now would be difficult because he really thinks he loves me. >

"Urghhh..... I don't know what should I do?"

"Do you not love his highness?"

"Hmm? I am not sure about that. I don't really know how does love look or feels like"

"Then why not give his highness a chance? Until you are certain about how you feel?"

Then suddenly, what Gracie said gave Ivy an idea.

"You are right. That's it! That is brilliant, Gracie!"

"Huh? What? What's brilliant?"

Ivy immediately hugged Gracie while Gracie was puzzled.

"Thanks for listening to me, Gracie. Sorry for bothering you again. I promise I'll come by and bring you some delicious delicacies later!"

"Wait! Where are you going?"

"I'm going to see his highness and tell him my answer."

Ivy then left while Gracie sat there, clueless about what had happened.

His Friend

Hours after the Prince's confession.

The Prince returned to his office, and he told Sir Gregory what happened.

"Bwahahahahahahahahahahahah!!! I can't believe you did that!"

Sir Gregory laughs out loud while the Prince continues to mope on his desk.

"How long are you still going to laugh?"

"Hahahahahaha... I'm sorry, your highness, it's just too funny. I can't believe you finally confess while you are half-naked."

The Prince became even more depressed when he heard Gregory's comment.

"Is it.... is it really that bad?"

"Well, let's look at it. Not only you just showed her your horrible drunk self, and you confessed to her while looking like an uncivilized wild man.

I would say the ladies may feel that confession to be not only Vulgar, Distasteful, and possibly even Repulsive."

Sir Gregory's every word made the Prince felt like a stabbed to his heart.

The Prince felt even more miserable than before.

"So?"

"So what?"

"So, what was her reply?"

".... she didn't say anything, I told her not to reply me."

"What? Why?"

The Prince scratches his head as he looks up the ceiling.

"I don't know. I just thought it would be irresponsible of me to ask for her reply at that moment, plus she looks like....."

"She looks like what?"

When the Prince confessed to Ivy, he saw that Ivy looked scared.

<Could it be that she was afraid of me? Of my confession? But why?< p>

Could it be because she doesn't like being with me? Or that she hated the idea of us being together? >

The Prince scratches his head even more as he can't figure out what she is thinking.

"Anyhow, I can't believe your highness has finally confessed to ms. Ivy. I thought I had to push a little harder to get your highness to do it."

Prince Leon looked at Sir Gregory, not understanding what he was talking about.

"I thought you like her."

"I did, but to be honest, I gave up years ago after I couldn't win a single sword fight against you. Plus, I always thought she would only look at you that way."

"What do you mean? What way?"

Sir Gregory had been by their side since they were a child. He saw how the prince and ms ivy acted when they were together. He always felt that whenever they looked at each other, they only had each other in their eyes, and there was nobody else there but them.

As he cared deeply for both of them, he chose to support them from the side instead.

But he also noticed how slow they were progressing because the Prince was an idiot while Miss Ivy was absolutely clueless. So for the sake of their future, he couldn't help but pull the strings from behind.

Most of all, he had lots of fun with them, so teasing the Prince became his part-time hobby.

"I guess you just have to find out yourself, your highness. This is one secret that I tend to keep to myself in my heart."

"Why you little...."

"Ah... but I really can't believe it that there be women that actually reject the crown prince confession."

"She HASN'T REJECTED ME YET!"

The Prince pounded on the table, thus crushing the table in half, as he felt increasingly agitated with his words.

"Ok, ok, calm down, your highness. I'm sure all will be well."

Sir Gregory smiled while he slowly backed away, feeling he had just hit a nerve.

Then suddenly, a knock on the door.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Your highness, Ms Ivy is here to see you. She says that she has something to discuss with you. Shall I let her in?"

The Prince immediately stood up from his chair, feeling surprised.

"Ivy is here to see me?"
