15 Episode 13: GABBY'S GUARD

Gabby woke up feeling dizzy as ever. She opened her eyes only to get hurt by the peeping sunlight from her window.

She scanned the room, a habit she do to make sure that no spirit had entered. She cursed under her breath. Even if she haven't seen spirits in a while it had left her with trauma and some difficulties in day to day routine.

She was thankful for thinking that none had entered. Until she got to the kitchen...and found a boy she guessed was sleeping, head drooped on her table.

GABBY: OH MY GOSH! Did I brought a man last night?! Did I finally drink alcohol and had a one night stand with some random stranger?!!!

RED: Huh? OH. You're awake.

GABBY: AHHHH! DID WE HAVE-

RED: HEY! HEY! HOLD UP! We didn't do nothing, okay?! Hear me out first!

GABBY: WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR EYES?! Am I still dreaming? Why...are you dressed like an anime character? This is recorded, hm? Eh....what's going on then?! I'm so confused!!! Am I in an anime world? Still dreaming???

RED: You're...different when we first met.

GABBY: WHAT?! MAYBE SOMEONE DRUGGED ME THAT'S WHY! Get out please! This is a mistake!

RED: Stop being childish and listen up a bit.

GABBY: *calms down* Please tell me I'm still pure.

RED: You are. I haven't touched you yet, *reddens* I mean I won't ever touch you...erm...*fake coughs* Just listen up.

GABBY: O-okay...

*THIRTY MINUTES LATER*

(Note: Because Gabby kept interrupting and asking question)

RED: Is that all you wanna ask?

GABBY: Yeah...I can't believe I've seen a strong entity like you here. But...I sure don't want to be taken by that entity you're talking about so yeah, maybe you could keep an eye on me but please...don't follow me when I'm doing...when I...you know.

RED: Eh? Oh! *turns red* Ah, when you're stripping and doing bathroom stuffs, right?

GABBY: Yeah.

*awkward silence*

RED: So...like, aren't you going to work?

GABBY: Nope. The episode we're currently working on is scheduled to continue next week. We're on a break.

RED: An animator, I see... Anyways, just to make it clear... It'd be easier if I were to be in visible form, ya know? To the naked eyes of others. Being a spirit in your room would only attract other spirits to find you. But if I sense the slightest danger, I'd turn back and defend you.

GABBY: Oh! Okay...but I don't have any clothes for males...

RED: Silly. I can transform into any clothing I like.

GABBY: Wow! Can you make me a dress too?

RED: Hell no! I'm not going to let you abuse my power like that!

GABBY: Oh...okay then. Well, I'm going to make breakfast. I'm just gonna tell Tiwari you're a homeless friend because you spent all your money making your eyes anime looking.

RED: None would believe that.

GABBY: Then what is your story, genius?

RED: Just tell her I'm your boyfriend. That would explain perfectly the reason I am living with you.

GABBY: *flustered wreck* W-what?! They won't believe you more!

RED: Just tell them we have something in the past and I came back 'cause I love you, and you love me. Don't worry Gab, I really don't have interest in you so like...just play with it.

GABBY: That sounds even more stupid. What if I have a boyfriend?

RED: Break up with him.

GABBY: What?! Well, I'm thankful I really don't have one. But-

RED: Play with it. Yes or no?

GABBY: Well, I don't know. *nervous voice* Everything escalated quickly. I just...haven't had one before...let alone anyone who proposes to be my boyfriend and I am so nervous... Tiwari...I don't know what she'll think of me for not telling her first... I'm not su-

Red laughs in the background.

RED: We're just pretending. Don't flatter yourself too much. You're not my type. I'm just here because you're helpless and needs to be protected.

GABBY: Oh...right. Okay then. Deal.

RED: Good. *transforms into a visible form* So...where's your kitchen? I'll cook for you, now take a bath. Your hair looks like an awakened octopus.

GABBY: On it! *rushes to the bathroom*

GABBY: *comes out already dressed* *still shy*

RED: Oi, ready?

GABBY: Uh...

RED: Your fridge is close to being empty but I managed to teleport to your grocery store and get some worthy ingredients.

GABBY: You paid for it, right?

RED: Yeah. Your wallet is just inside that drawer.

GABBY: *sigh* This better be good...

*omelette, pancakes, mashed potato, egg sandwich, bacon, warm milk, coffee*

GABBY: How'd you---oh never mind. I forgot that speed is your thing. Anyways, the real question is how'd you know how to make them?

RED: I've been it this world for a long time. Of course I know.

GABBY: Oh...kay..? Anyways, you're eating too, right?

RED: Yep. But eat more. You're more important.

*absent-minded of what his words just implied*

GABBY: *blushes intensely*

(Damn...I feel like a disney princess...)
