5 4. Royalty Reunion

In Heimewdall's room, uncle and nephew were engaged in a serious talk while the sat on a brown, velvet couch, next to the window.

"You should have told me that you saw a vision like this, uncle!" Exclaimed the Great King, shocked by what his uncle had just said.

"It wasn't a clear vision, Kinmy. It was late, I was already in bed almost asleep, when I went into a momentary trance and had this prediction. I tried to use my revelation tarot for further clarification, but I was unable to get the full vision again..."

Although all psychic felins had sensitive abilities, since the first lineage of the royal family, there were at least a member born with phenomenal clairvoyant gifts. Heimewdall was the prestigious fortune teller of the previous generation. Since his childhood, his visions saved lives and helped bring victory in crucial battles fought by his father and the royal army during attacks by reverse felins.

"Regardless, you should have warned me, uncle Heimy. Perhaps we could have discovered the meaning of your vision together and possibly avoided this catastrophe!"

The viceroy pressed his forehead and sighed, feeling frustrated.

"You're right. I'm really feeling guilty about saying nothing to you, it was a big mistake of mine. I beg you to forgive me, Kin. The thing is, my tarot revealed danger and injury, and that kind of premonition is common at the time of these damn reverse portals, so I didn't think it was necessary to wake you up because of that. You already have too many concerns in this week, and I just wanted to save you from an unnecessary hassle."

Kinmyuu took a deep breath, trying to understand his uncle's side. "I see your point, but as a Great King, I cannot afford to be spared the worry about any possible problem, mainly in this week."

"I know. I think it was just my old instinct to protect you, my nephew. You know you're like a son to me."

"I am grateful you were concerned about me, but we have to focus on the most important thing now. I need to go to Magispell to check on the situation in person." Kin said, distressed.

"I don't think it will be necessary. When he called, Mewthazar said that he and the king Mewghand would come here to speak to you personally. They will come as soon as they return from the hospital. Unfortunately, it seems that Mewghand's father situation is quite serious."

"Oh, my Ghaceus… I hope Mewelderm is strong enough to resist. I know very well what is like to lose a father, I don't want Mewghand to go through this."

The Great King said with another saddened sigh, lost for a moment in the sad memory of when his father passed away and reborn as an angel.

Later, a group of royalties were already in front of the Nihsies' palace meeting room. It was a large environment, equivalent to a third of the ostentatious ballroom. The morning light came in through the windows on the left side wall, making the sun reflect on the large polished cedar table in the center of the room. A dozen comfortable swivel chairs circled that table, and there was a large LED monitor on the wall, facing it.

Queen Anmyuu came in, followed by king Mewghand, and behind him, there were the two Viceroys Heimewdall and Mewthazar. The Wizard King was thin and tall, and wore a traditional conical hat with his crown on top.

Mewthazar wore a plum-colored overcoat with silver accents, matching the cape on his back. His sand-colored hair was tied in a medium ponytail by a ribbon with a graceful tie.

"Well, Lord Mewthazar, Mewghand ..." Kinmyuu saw no need to be formal with Mewghand, as they both were close colleagues at the Royal University. "My uncle Heimewdall has already made me aware of what happened. I know the situation is desperate, but we need to stay calm as much as we can. Could you please explain in detail how this incident happened?"

"I think it's better my uncle starts, since he saw everything first." Said the Wizard King, turning to Mewthazar.
