2 1. The King's Injury

Year 3578. Nihsies Kingdom - Pure World

The third Supreme Age had its beginning exactly seventy-eight years ago, at the birth of the third archangel demigod. All the realms enjoyed peace, prosperity and security, thanks to the current Supreme King’s government: Kinmyuu Mewrichard K. Nihsicat - ninth in his family line to rule and the chosen descendant of Ghaceus.

It was about to dawn another day, while the first rays of sunlight unfolded behind the mountains, under the sky painting in orange tones.

Nothing but the song of some birds waking up in the trees of the gardens could be heard in the majestic palace in the Capital of the great Kingdom. No court officials had arrived yet, and each member of the royal family rested in their rooms. However, in one of the rooms in the huge castle, the soft morning melody was interrupted by the incessant ringing of a call.

"Zar...What happened?"

An older felin with a well-done goatee and purple messy hair asked. His voice was as sleepy as the expression on his face.

The other one talking to him sounded alarmed, his voice shaking with panic, he could barely speak.

"Heimewdall...your vision...it came to pass! And it…it's even worse than we thought!"

In the meantime, in the royal suite, Anmyuu Mewnabett - the Supreme Queen - got up half-asleep to go to the bathroom. She was a great beauty, with blue eyes and silky pink hair forming beautiful curls peaked up to her waist.

Her intention was to get back as quickly as possible under the covers on their soft bed. However, when leaving the toilet, she realized that Kinmyuu's side of the bed was empty.

"Kimy?" Anmyuu called, sliding the wide glass door behind the curtains, which led to the large terrace of the room.

Kinmyuu turned his face to her. The Great King also had a handsome appearance, as expected of the chosen terrestrial archangel. His penetrating blue eyes that reflected the purest kindness were like two sapphire stones. Tones of very light blue also reflected in his naturally platinum hair, which formed an elegant tuft, with some strands falling charmingly over his forehead.

"Why are you up so early, my love?" He asked his wife.

"I had to go to the bathroom. What about you?" She asked gently, approaching him.

"I ended up losing sleep, so I came here."

The queen hugged him from behind, wrapping her arms around her lover's shoulders.

"Was it the dream of prophecy again?"

Kinmyuu put a hand over hers, caressing her.

"Not exactly. It was the voice that calls me. This time, it echoed in my mind sounding like a desperate cry for help, screaming my name. I was so distressed that I couldn't sleep anymore."

"I'm really sorry, honey. I assume you couldn't see who was calling you, as always…"

Anmyuu knew that since his adolescence, Kinmyuu occasionally heard a mysterious voice calling him in his dreams, but he could never see clearly who was calling, nor did he discover the meaning of this over the years.

"No, I couldn't even see the silhouette. But anyway, I should have expected something like that. Two days ago the Week of Reverse Portals started, and my dreams with that voice always intensify at this time."

"Yeah …" The queen sighed. "As if no longer enough of the headache this week brings you, right, babe?

The female was going to comfort her husband with a kiss on the cheek, when she noticed the splint on his right wrist, which lit up a slight greenish glow, due to healing magical energy that emanated from it.

"Does it hurt?" She asked, worried.

"It was when I woke up from that nightmare, but now it's better. Don't worry, sweetheart. You know, right ... The voice calls me and my wrist hurts. I've even gotten used to it."

Kinmyuu forced a small smile, hoping to lessen his wife's worry.

The pain in his right wrist has always been a hindrance since he was a teenager.

As a demigod, he possessed strong regenerative powers, but never managed to get rid of that injury. The magic splints just relieved the pain so it wouldn't become unbearable.

Renowned experts that the Great King has consulted over the years have also been unable to treat the problem. Because physically there was nothing wrong with your majesty's pulse. Some concluded that it was something beyond their knowledge, given the fact that the Supreme King was a demigod. Others said it was a psychological pain; something very common in felins with psychic powers like him.

However, Kinmyuu was not quite sure about that. He was certain that there was something else, something as hidden and mysterious as the voice he heard call him in his dreams.

"Even so, if it's still hurts too much, let me know so we can find a way to at least relieve it a little, okay?"

"Yes, ma'am" he replied, nodding, while realizing Anmyuu yawning. "It seems that my beauty still needs some sleep."i Kinmyuu joked. "Why don't you go back to bed and sleep a little more, my love? I can come back too and keep you company if you want."

"I do. You are my favorite pillow, after all." The queen said, kissing him on the cheek and hugged him tightly while purring.
