2 The Genius Guy

Everybody gathered in Hall No.2 and looked bored and unexcited. It was probably just another old codger coming to explain to them the importance of studies or something. They saw him, a middle-aged man of about 60, with white, long, rough hair and wearing an oversized shirt and pants.

"Looks like Doc, doesn't he?", says Sergio, ruffling his blond hair." What do you think? Came to explain time-travel or something?"

"Looks like a genius", said Brian, a boy in their grade, who was a full-on genius himself.

"Ok everybody!", exclaimed the principal, Mr. Kenzie, as energetic as ever. "Sit down, I would like to introduce you to Dr. Christian Jeffrey, our special guest. He is a scientist, a very good one, and was also my classmate, fortunately! I would like you all to give him a warm welcome! Here he comes!"

Dr.Jeffrey hopped on to the stage, his long rough hair moving constantly. "Hello my dears!", he said tiding his hair. "I know what you all are thinking, probably some old crazy man coming on just to be ignored! But I have got a very fascinating topic for you and I know you will like it! Have any of you ever heard about a multiverse?"

No hands were raised, Brian was scratching his head as if trying to remember something he learned.

"A multiverse means multiple universes. An alternate universe is just like ours, but with some, or many, differences. We live in a multiverse. There are infinite multiverses, and anything is possible!"

"Marvel!", whispered Sergio.

"There is a universe where you are a genius! There is a universe where you are dating a girl you like! There is a universe where my old principal is alive! Poor fellow, I remember him well, today is his death anniversary. In this universe, maybe you are a failure, but in another, you are a topper!" Everybody gasped. Even Jeremy did. Leo was sure he thought that in another universe, he was more handsome, but it was highly impossible in any universe.

"There are alternate universes made when you make a choice, for example, if you chose science instead of maths, there will be a universe where you chose maths!"

Brian raised his hand, "Can we travel to an alternate universe?"

"Not just now, we don't have the technology, but hopefully in the future, we can, although it's very complicated."

"Why can't we see one like we see stars?", asked Gilda Smith, yet another genius.

"It's because they are the fourth dimension. Every object in the world in 3D isn't it? But what if our world has a fourth? That's the main thing. 'What if' is the main question and the answer is a multiverse."

" Stranger Things!", whispered Sergio. "Are there monsters too?", asked Pierce, a very stupid boy in the grade.

"Anything's possible", said the Doc.
