63 Rogue's Powers Under Control, Heading off for Training

Rogue had yelled out in surprise as the rest of the room was in silence. I merely looked towards the usually introverted teenager and noticed some small tears beginning to form in the corners of her eyes. This obviously meant a lot for her.

"I guess that is a yes?"

"Mhm!"

For some reason she couldn't summon up the control to speak and simply nodded whilst humming her response. I didn't know too much about Rogue's personality in this place, especially because everything was so different in comparison to the movies, but i could tell that she really struggled with her powers.

I smiled slightly and calmly in response to her answer and started to pull out the mana from my abdomen, stretching it into fine threads of yin and yang energy which gradually hung in mid-air, forming the Elder Furthark word for control (ᚲᛟᚾᛏᚱᛟᛚ) and then into another line of runes with the base meaning of regulation (ᚱᛖᚷᚢᛚᚨᛏᛟᚾ). The Runes were lit up like they were shining diamonds refracting light from every direction despite the lack of intense light in the room. They shone in a silvery-gold colouration and seemed to buzz as i added more interconnectedness between them and Rogue. (ᛊᛟᚢᛚ ᛈᚨᚲᛏ, ᚱᛟᚷᚢᛖ) Soul Pact with Rogue, (ᛏᚨᛏᛏᛟᛟ ᚠᛟᚱᛗᚨᛏᛟᚾᛊ) Tattoo Formations on skin, (ᛈᛟᚹᛖᚱ ᚨᛗᛈᛚᛁᚠᛁᛖᚱ) Power amplification. I used about 1000 mana to form these lines of Runic power before i decided it was enough and brought my hand down towards each line of runes, their forms shifting as my hand drifted into them turning into pure magical energy, following my hand. My hand went through the last set of runes and finally i came down to Rogue's right hand.

"Please take off your glove, don't worry i won't be affected by your powers."

She complied although she seemed hesitant despite my words. Without waiting too long she had finally taken off her glove and I instantly started to drag my hand down to hers. We were very close to contacting each other's hands when the 'energy' that had gathered around my hands started to migrate to hers the odd scene of numerous Norse runes spreading across her body played out.

The runes were slowly melding with her skin as they turned from the silvery-gold of before into a more black and white colour that created a helix-like pattern of runes that wound its way around her forearm. Slowly the magic of the runes was spreading through her and as they started to implement themselves I decided to do one more line of runes.

(ᚱᚨᛜᛖᛞ ᛈᚱᛟᛃᛖᚲᛏᛟᚾ) Ranged Projection. So that if she wanted to or needed to she could use her powers on people at range instead of needing to touch them. The runes quickly formed in the air and I hurriedly scooped my left hand through them and brought it down into the same hand, where they soon melded and became runic tattoo rings across her fingers.

When the whole process was finished i noticed Rogue focusing intently on her newly tattooed hand and fingers which now were covered with alternating black and white runes that twinkled in the little bit of light in the room. A deep blush started to spread through her face followed by an even deeper smile. She looked up at me with metaphorical stars in her eyes as everyone around the table and even at other tables were completely stupefied by the display of magic before their very eyes.

Illyana i could sense was a little jealous of Rogue and i could feel her eyeing me intently as if she was judging me for choosing to help the girl that couldn't use her powers at all.

'Huuu, my life is never easy...'

[Ding! Completed Hidden Quest: Aid rogue in using her powers.]

[Rewards: 5million dollars, Psychic Magic Affinity.]

[You were saying?]

'Nothing, i was saying nothing...'

Coming back to reality for a second i turned to look at Illyana and smiled as i reached out my hand, grasping hers in mine and before she could react i kissed hers. She blushed deeply as i held the kiss for a little longer than i should have, making every one else awkward, especially those without a relationship. It definitely had those people considering finding someone.

Piotr, after i finished my display, laughed and clapped his hands as he then followed that by chugging the orange juice he had gotten for breakfast. The atmosphere at the table turned to a lighter side as Rogue had been staring at me the whole time, a gentle blush spreading across her face despite her best efforts to hide it. Logan, who was at the side looked between Rogue and Emelia and simply shook his head whilst sighing, drinking his morning beer to chase down the bacon he had just eaten.

Later in the day me and Illyana were wandering through the garden of the school, avoiding the butchered segment of it that was created due to yours truly. We were talking about harmless things such as Piotr when he was younger and of course my memories on Australia and my life. It was peaceful. But alas, all things have to come to an end eventually. 

I turned to her, my eyes locking with hers as we looked at each other's face.

"Illyana, i have to go back to the Kamar-Taj, i need to learn more knowledge on the universe i am in as well as more power to protect you."

As i spoke I ran a finger through a fallen strand of hair, moving it up to join the majority of her beautiful blonde hair, cupping my hand to her left cheek as i continued to stare into her beautiful greyish-blue eyes.

"I understand, darling, I have to train as well... I discovered some new powers have awoken inside of me so i have to explore them. How long will you be away?"

"No, I think you misunderstand... I'll be staying here and commuting to Kamar-Taj with my teleportation, you'll see me a lot still, just not as much."

"Oh, is that all... Then don't worry, take as much time as you need to!"

"Eh, okay."

She pulled me in and gave me a kiss before we started walking again. The environ was beautiful and held many spectacular flowers and nature interspersed by small gazebos and benches that were spaced to make small private spaces. We decided to spend the rest of the afternoon just wandering and talking to each other.

Towards the end of the day i finally decided to say goodbye to her for now and went off to Kamar-Taj, her expression happy as she waved me away, especially because i had given her a Runic rings around all of her fingers allowing her to amplify her physical capabilities.

'Okay Emelia, time to focus on learning!'

I appeared within the burning courtyard of Kamar-Taj.

'Seriously!?'
