Creating an Industry, Meeting with Tony
I had brought my designs for the uniforms of the military to Kali, Skadi and Pixel and they all agreed they looked good and would certainly suit the forces. However, there was a question asked which stumped us all for a little.
"Do we have a linen industry, cloth industry or clothing industry in general?"
That question was from Pixel who innocently poked at the heart of the matter. Kali, Skadi and myself all went quiet into contemplation. We exchanged some idea related to me buying the infrastructure but i denied it because it would be a waste of Reality Shards that could be used on other more important expansions and increases in power.
"How about we create an initiative within the policy that would dedicate one-hundred million dollars to the first companies within Linen, Cloth and Clothing manufacturing?" (Pixel)
"I agree, it's a good start. However, we need to incentivize people to continue to produce those products, a lump sum would just open up the government to abuse, people starting a company only to end it a day later... How about we do this, we make it so that anyone who starts a company related to clothing and the materials needed for clothing gets a tax cut of 50% on all gained money?" (Emelia)
"That will work!" (Skadi)
"Won't that cut down our profits?" (Kali)
"Ultimately no, because of the new industry there will be more sales and with our universal 10% tax of every transactions we will gain from that exponentially, not to mention that the new industry will create new jobs, giving more money to people who will then use it to buy things and pay the 10% per transaction. Since we don't have a massive tax law and red tape people can get a lot of money which they will use to buy new things for themselves which will ultimately feed back to us as tax money... If we do this increasingly for different industries we could even see a massive feedback loop where we start gaining massive industries, services and entertainment whilst constantly increasing the GDP and Tax income of the government." (Emelia)
"When did you become so smart?" (Skadi)
"Well, considering that I was the leader of an entire people now and possibly Earth and our solar system in the future I decided to study on governing and such. I only did it yesterday in my spare time between interviews and conversations." (Emelia)
"Impressive." (Kali)
"Sexy..." (Pixel)
"Interesting, well let us follow through in your plan. We'll start the program and broadcast the new policy to the citizens. Now a new question will be, what are we going to do about the air force? We have no planes or ships." (Skadi)
"Contact Emma Frost and see how the transferal is going, tell her that I have a new technology that her company can produce and that she will need to be here within a month if she wants to get the government contract."
"No problem, if you can, can you give us the technology so that we can feed it to Himari and have her look into possible advancements and such?" (Skadi)
"Indeed, i would like to look at this technology." (Kali)
"I'll connect it to the military secrets section of Atlantis's storage."
I activated my Magitechna domain and quickly uploaded the stealth fighter to the storage and continued to upload some of the technology i had gotten previously, including the Plasma Weaponry and Modular Building. The only other technology I wanted was the wormhole drive. I payed the 1 billion Reality Shards and quickly uploaded the tech into the storage where it was promptly poured over by my wives.
Seeing that they were too busy looking over the technical elements of the technology and its possibilities I quickly teleported to Stark Tower where i found Tony having a drink at his bar, Pepper sitting next to him whilst sipping some wine. It was night time still here so it seemed they were close to going to bed.
"Tony, good to see you."
He almost choked on his drink as he spat it back into his glass and turned towards me with a mildly pissed off expression. Pepper flinched a little but quickly recovered as she started to smile, getting off of her stool and coming over for a hug. I reciprocated and flashed a smile to Tony which got a small grunt from him as he chugged the rest of his drink.
"Emelia, what are you doing here?"
"Well, i was coming here to convince you to move to Atlantis with pepper and your company." Me and Pepper's hug broke off as she switched from cordial and friendly to completely serious.
"What would be the benefits to our company, what are your motivations and how is the Government Structured?" (Pepper)
"Let me start with the Government." I sat down on the couch and both of them joined me in sitting down, Tony with a new drink that he slowly sipped.
"The Government of Atlantis is headed by me, who you could consider as the Owner of the City and ultimately the President of the country. Under me you have my wives, who are the governing position holders and decision makers second only to me. Then we have a civilian council that still requires members to be voted on in an election, this election coming within the next few months."
"Seems rather dictatorial..." (Tony)
"It is, to be honest I am capitalist in most policies and want to expand the worth of everything, but this also applies to the people of Atlantis, i want them to have a lot of value, worth and money so that we can create a massive superpower."
"I have a sense for the system... Now? Worth for our company?" (Pepper)
"Well you would be one of the first industries in Atlantis that is owned by private people as most of the industries as of this moment are run by the Government itself, farming being a massive part of said industries. You would be able to have access to technology far beyond human standards, the ability to teleport to any country in the world instantly. Connections to other planets and people within the solar system, etc..."
They looked at each other and seemed to be contemplating via private conversation in their facial expressions. They were easy to read and i could tell that Tony was really wanting to move to my country from what i had told them.
"As for my motivations, well you have already heard about the change of multiverse... I want to protect us from the threats of the multiverse and bring humanity to a new level of technology that rivals if not surpasses the residents of this multiverse. This will require me to gain power or control over a lot of the world and the solar system... Naturally i will not abuse this and will have the civilian council overseeing our actions, hence it's reason for existence, so, currently that is my motivations, so to speak."
They were a bit blown away by the openness i had about taking over the majority of power in the world and my goals. This state didn't last long however as quickly Pepper and Tony nodded at each other.
"We agree... Now, onto building requirements and resource transitions..."
