Chapter 151- Returning

Somewhere in a hot desert, a blast suddenly occurred as the sand was quickly pushed out of the way, creating a big hole.

Before the sand quickly returned and filled up the hole, a figure of human carrying a long green creature jumped and emerged out of the hole.

His long black hair and black robe were covered with dust as he looked up to the already bright sky, indicating that it was already high noon.

Without even dusting his clothes, Liu Guanyi carried the massive worm on top of his head and started to sprint.

Since there was nothing that was holding him back, Liu Guanyi used his martial technique and shinsu enhancement to practically speed through the desert faster than a tuna swimming in the sea.

It was as if he was a raging storm that swept everything in the desert.

Every Shinheuh that Liu Guanyi ran into, be it wolves, lions, snakes, and even giant birds, were all running away or if they reacted slowly, were simply rammed and squashed into pieces as their body parts splattered across into the sand.

Liu Guanyi continued to sprint toward the east and in just less than an hour, he managed to exit the hot desert and reached a large roadway. Seeing it, he decreased his speed and only ran at a normal pace.

The road was filled with many people. Many of them used vehicles such as busses and cars but some of them simply walked on foot on the sidelines. The road didn't connect the desert to a city but a big city to another city since the desert was an unhospitable place with no real resources for living.

Although there were many people here traveling to and fro, the air was very clean as the vehicles didn't emit any harmful gasses and the likes due to their technological development that was based on shinsu and suspendium.

The industrial sectors were also the same as their energy was more than ninety nice percent coming from shinsu, the best energy that was free in the tower.

If there was a look for a future modern city that was completely pollution-free, this would certainly become a number one role model for it with its magical development yet also extremely environmentally friendly.

When Liu Guanyi saw it for the first time, he was greatly surprised and impressed by how advanced the civilization in the tower was. He couldn't fathom how they could develop numerous and even countless innovations and inventions that they needed to push their civilization to this extent.

Although the development was dependent and mainly carried on by shinsu, they would still need to research and progress so much in many ways before they could figure out how to use shinsu as energy itself so it wasn't as if shinsu solved everything on its own without human efforts.

If Liu Guanyi was the one involved in trying and planning for the development, truthfully admittingly, he would definitely fail it let alone advance the civilization to this extent.

Well, as a martial practitioner he was more of a field person than a leader or statesman, after all.

When he witnessed it for the first time back then, Liu Guanyi had found a newfound respect for the ten great families and king Zahard. At least they weren't completely wasted and could improve and lead the whole civilization ahead, though the Workshop had helped most of it as usual, so that was it.

As he was walking casually, many people looked in his direction to stare at the enormous green disgusting creature that Liu Guanyi had on top of him.

He continued to walk, ignoring all the weird stares that he got from the passersby, though some of them look amazed at how he could carry it so easily.

After an hour of walk, Liu Guanyi reached a big and beautiful residence with a wide yard and many green plants adorning the yard.

There was a long and high fence surrounding the residence and in the middle of it, there was a single house with a light color that mixed well with the greenery.

Liu Guanyi casually put down the death worm in the yard and walked into the house. The interior was well decorated with many simple furniture and wall paintings though he didn't even glance at any of them and headed straight into the main room just a few meters ahead.

There, he saw two people already sitting on a big and long round table, seemingly waiting for someone as the two beamed with a smile when they looked at him. Liu Guanyi smiled back at them and took a set on the last chair.

"Welcome back, Liu. So, have you got the death worm?" Adori asked calmly.

"No worries, it's already in the yard. I didn't expect we are so lucky to get it this early."

"No need to be so modest, Mr. Liu, I know it's all skill and no luck." Chimed Xin with a grin.

"Nah, even I get lucky sometimes, Xin. Anyway, did you guys manage to find anything around that place?" Liu Guanyi shrugged the compliment with a smile before he asked with a more serious tone.

"Xin, take it out."

"Alright, we didn't really find anything much other than these." Xin said as he took out a few scraps of iron covered with dirt and rock. There was nothing special about them other than there were some fragments of blue-colored material that apparently got stuck on some of them.

"Hmm…" Liu Guanyi silently pondered as held the iron scraps with his fingers and carefully observed them with his eyes.

Liu Guanyi turned toward the white-haired woman and spoke. "Adori, is that enough for you?" He asked as he put down the metal scraps.

"You are too cautious, aren't you, Liu?" Said Adori with a slight smile on her face. "Though, I don't really mind that."

"Well, it's certainly will never be enough to capture the big fish. However, it is a different matter altogether if we talk about those small fish." Adori answered with a hint of playfulness in her voice as she looked at him.

"I see… that will be just good enough." Liu Guanyi said with a smile.

Hearing his response, both Adori and Xin smiled as well.
