Chapter 149- Turning Serious

As Liu Guanyi hung on the ceiling, he could see the entire tunnel with clarity.

Despite its humongous body, the black snake was deceptively fast as it already recovered and readied itself in position after the fall just a moment ago. The gigantic pair of crimson eyes that gleamed in the darkness met Liu Guanyi's dark abyss-like eyes.

In that short fight, the result was obvious.

Liu Guanyi had triumphed over the snake as he had suffered no injury while the snake, although only sustained a small injury and still looking relatively fine, it couldn't match his nimbleness and superhuman reflexes.

Seemingly knowing this, the giant snake whipped its tail on the tunnel wall near it, causing the entire tunnel to tremble strongly.

It struck the tunnel again and again in very quick succession, even using every single part of its long body to increase the intensity of its attacks.

Krrrgggh!

The tunnel began to shake even greater, causing the ceiling to start crumbling.

Knowing what the snake was up to, Liu Guanyi decided to stop it before it was too late. He still had to carry the death worm that he had secured alive to the floor administration office so he couldn't let the tunnel collapse.

Liu Guanyi kicked the ceiling to push him and increase his momentum as he flew like a bullet toward the snake.

The snake already prepared itself by coiling and compressing its body like a spring, launched itself as it opened its massive jaws toward him.

Seeing this, Liu Guanyi smiled as he decided to finally turn serious!

The inner energy within his body exploded and surged in every part of his body. His blood vessels and veins became much more pronounced as his skin turned reddish. Visible hot vapor could be seen formed around his body.

Liu Guanyi clenched his fists as the muscles on his arms bulged out. As both of them were about to collide in midair, he intertwined his fingers and combined both of his hands into one.

Using the momentum and power from gravity, Liu Guanyi swung his clenched fists down at the snout of the giant snake.

His blow hit the snake extremely hard as it instantly shut its mouth and threw its head to the ground, rocking the tunnel floor hard, sending a cluster of dust that filled the tunnel!

As Liu Guanyi dropped to the ground, he found that the snake was nowhere in the tunnel.

Suddenly, the ground behind him burst open as a massive object came flying toward him. His reflex immediately worked again as Liu Guanyi kicked the ground and leaped to the side, evading the attack.

However, when his feet touched the ground, his footing was broken as the ground suddenly caved in, causing him to fall into it. At that moment, his senses flared up as immediately to warn him of imminent danger.

Yet, since he couldn't move without his footing since he couldn't fly like the Rankers yet, Liu Guanyi couldn't immediately move in this split-second timeframe.

Something covered Liu Guanyi in darkness as his vision was blocked and bit his body very hard, causing his powerful and tough steel-like muscles to tear apart under the bite force.

However, the snake wasn't done yet.

It increased its bite force and slammed him hard to the tunnel wall, creating massive and long cracks on it. Then, it dragged him across the length of the tunnel wall while its serrated teeth injected lethal venom into his body.

After a few seconds of being harassed around by the snake and its mercy, Liu Guanyi made the inner energy in his body surge up exponentially, making him able to resist the immense pressure from the snake's jaws and lessen the tightness of its bite.

Not wasting the opportunity, Liu Guanyi struck his elbow at its snout, making the snake hissed in pain and loosened its bite on him. Then, he struck the oral cavity with a powerful uppercut, shocking the snake's brain as it stopped on the spot.

Liu Guanyi leaped out of its mouth and climbed on top of its head.

The shock didn't last long as the snake immediately recovered. It didn't take well that Liu Guanyi was on top of its head and slammed its own head to the tunnel wall, hoping that he would be crushed by the collision and peeled of its head.

Unfortunately for the snake, Liu Guanyi was still hanging tightly on the scales on his head even though there were many deep gashes and lacerations on his body due to the previous bite. But there was something that didn't make sense.

Despite having bloody injuries and deep gashes on his body, no blood was flowing or even just trickling out of them even though he should have been bleeding heavily from all of the wounds he sustained.

There was one trick that Liu Guanyi used to do this.

Using his inner energy, Liu Guanyi used it to control every drop of blood inside his body. He would be able direct the blood flow and the direction of the flow as he desired.

Hence, even if his current blood flow was extremely fast and he had many injuries, none of them would have any negative impacts as his blood was fully contained in his body.

And even if his head was cut and separated from his body, he still wouldn't bleed even a single drop!

Then, using his inner energy again, the deep gashes and long lacerations on his body began to recover at a rate that could be seen with naked eyes, even ejecting a greenish liquid from the pores of his skin that sizzled when it dropped to the ground.

All of the gashes and lacerations began to close up and stitch themselves and a moment later, they were all gone and Liu Guanyi's body was back to its prime state without even the slightest scar!

All the while Liu Guanyi was recovering, the snake was still trying to get him off with every means possible, though was all fruitless.

With all of his injuries gone, Liu Guanyi immediately retaliated as he punched the snake at its head rapidly and repeatedly with his other hand holding on the scales to keep himself glued on the creature.

The snake hissed in pain as he continued to bash it on the head.
