5 Dron filled with regrets

"Ba-dump"

Several years later an egg-shaped object of meat around the size of adult's chest of human started pulsating like a heart cracking apart outer skin of dried meat and revealing flesh with the colour of blood.

"Mas...!"

Quaren started to wake up hearing some shouts.

"Master!"

Quaren stated to expand his sense out of his "body" to sense what is happening outside.

Quaren noticed that he was in some sort of big meat egg but as he tried to sense his body he was shocked that he was unable to do so.

"What is happening? Is this some sort of my new form?" "And why I can not spread my sense as far as before when I returned to my "Origin"?

"Hmm? I feel like there is something near me but it is pretty new feeling because I can feel some pulsating from it."

"Is it some living being?"

"Master, it is living!" Another shout echoed.

"So the being I felt is some sort of high ranked animal?" Quaren started to think about what he felt.

"I know Ging I felt that it somehow gained lifeforce and so strong on top of that so I'm wondering what this is. I took this because I thought that it is some artefact or something formed out of nature but after studying it I realized that it is some sort of cocoon but because it had no lifeforce in it I suspected that it is empty or dead."

"But how is it possible, Master?"

"I don´t know and so thrilling about this so let us just watch but we need to take our safety in the account so I will set up here barrier using about fift of my mind."

"is it that think so dangerous?"

"I think it is not but what can you lose with a bit of caution."

"Master is very wise."

"What are they doing? Are they trying to harm me?"

"Now it is safe, we can now study it by watching its next course of action."

Silence

After a while the pulsating stopped and everything started to quiet down.

A few months later Quaren woke up and started to survey his surroundings.

"I fell asleep..." "There is nothing around me?" "No, that is not right it is just that I cannot spread my sense. But why?"

"Oh I feel it there is some another sense that is locked onto me and is restricting me but how is that possible?"

"Nevermind I feel that my flow is fully depleted. So that should mean that my resting time is ending."

"Ba-dump"

Slowly but surely the whole shell started to pulsate and remove dried blood from the meat shell.

"Master, it is pulsating again but this time it is same as seven months ago."

"Be careful I sensed that it attacked my barrier and almost broke it so I had to strengthen it."

"Wow! It should be one of the mystics to be able to do this, right Master?"

"That is very likely."

Quaren hearing those two speakings started to think of something.

"Why is it that I cannot move my body? How can I get out of this meat shell?"

Quaren tried moving and meat shell gently shook.

"Master!"

"I see it, don't yell at me."

"I apologize, Master."

"Humph!"

The shell started to shook more and more as time progressed.

Suddenly a crack appeared and a bit of flesh fell on the ground.

"Plop"

As that bit of flesh fell on the ground blood-red liquid similar to blood started to leak out from the meat shell.

"It´s power is rapidly rising I now have to use half of my mind to stabilize the barrier this is interesting."

"Ging."

"Yes, Master?"

"Hurry up and call for others to help me with this."

"Yes!"

"So here is just one now? Should I quickly hatch and attack him and then try to run away?" Quaren started to think because he started to feel unsafe staying here.

"Crack"

Suddenly the whole meat shell cracked apart and exploded with a lot of blood and meat flying to all directions.

"Blargh"

Elder Nihang vomited blood and fell on the floor dead.

In place of the meat shield stood a darkish humanoid figure but due to a lot of blood on it with even some flesh that remained on it from the meat shell.

"Finally" Said Quaren with a deep hoarse voice

Quaren started looking at his new form when putting away the rest of the meat shell.

"I'm pretty long about the size of human´s head. And have some of the similarity with them mainly because of that that I have now just one pair of legs I have to straighten to be able to move fast, also I have one pair of something named as hands to lift or move objects.

"The biggest pain is that I lost my sting and I'm now just like human except for that, that I'm a humanoid bug."

"From the memories that I obtained I should be called Drone of the Wasper race."

"Oh, this is how my face looks like?"

Said Quaren as he looked around.

He is now in a cage with the shape of a cube in the middle of a big room that is used as a laboratory for someone and as he was looking around he saw his image in a mirror.

Quaren´s face experienced huge changes. His big eyes changed and were replaced with some smaller ones, that affected his coordination in space a bit. The huge change occurred to his mouth that is now just like humans except for his chunks that are now around his mouth to cover it.

Quaren´s head was not bald but instead he had a dark blue hair that was pretty long as it even touched the beginning of his neck. His meat is now dark blue that in some parts changed into violet. His chitin armor that is protecting his body turned into a very dark greenish color.

After appraising his body his gaze fell on the near-dead body of some elderly human.

"Lick"

A minute later some hurried steps of several people sounded from behind the doors.

"Shriek"

The door opened and revealed several people.

In the very front stood Ging frozen on the floor with a shocked expression.

"M-M-Master!"

Yelled Ging as he saw Quaren eating his Master Nihang.

"He is pretty tasty want some?"

Hearing this all of them froze for second and then started discussing something.

Quaren seeing those humans not doing a thing to him even when he was eating one of them in front of them was surprised.

"Ehm, my apologies for offending you, Sir." Said after discussing something with others.

"No problem, the one that had some bad intentions with me is dead." Said Quaren.

"So is everything between us OK?"

"Yes, no problem."

After saying this Quaren started flying over to doors.

Seeing him flying out they made a path for him out.

Quaren passes safely past the doors and in front of him appeared a stone staircase.

Without thinking he started flying up the staircase.

Seconds later as he passed several doors he stopped when he reached the very top that got metal doors unlike the rest that are wooden based.

The doors opened as if by magic and revealed a big hall past them.

Quaren seeing this started flying into that big hall.

In that hall were lots of portraits and some antique on walls.

Quaren flew further and further to the other end of the hall that got spacious coloured mozaic like colouring on it.

As he was in the very middle of the hall something unexpected happened.

"Puchi"

Some needle-like object pierced through Quaren´s body and made him unable to fly.

"Puff"

Quaren fell on the ground that revealed some hidden mechanism used for trapping enemy with some sort of slime.

As Quaren was fully in that slime-like substance the whole substance hardened and made him unable to move.

"We sure are lucky to come across newborn of the Wasper race."

"Yeah."

Hearing this Quaren started to realized that he has fallen into a very simple trap and for the first time experienced how cunning humans can be.

Filled with regret his mind started to get cloudy and while later he stopped trying to break free and lifelessly fell as his mind went blank.
