Free time

Weaving through people and streets until eventually they turned around a corner they upon the final street that led to a metal gated fence a couple hundred meters ahead of them and a huge pathway that led into two separate paths with a fountain in the middle that led up to a giant staircase that led up to a tall building with Stone pillars on either side. The Building itself was made of wood mostly but reinforced by stone around all the edges or the corners. Combine that with how little people were actually at such a place and you got a pretty unpopular place for such a pretty building.

"Where are all the people?"

"Most people have private libraries or other people to teach them most of them time so things like this are only really useful for a select group of people unfortunately. Which we just so happen to be."

"If not many people use them will there still be information we need?"

"Of course there won't be some information depending on what you're after but if you want general and some more in depth detailed stuff then we are fine and if we get lucky who knows we might find something of value. Some people are crazy about books and information so if we happened to come across something like that stored within were pretty lucky."

"Book fanatics?"

"Everybody has to have some kind of passion, right? There's just happens to be books."

"I see..."

With her own previous revelation about how important information could be she couldn't really find something to complain about hearing that. Though that came from her own understanding of humans but now that she'd been able to see more and more different humans while she was still scared of them she was definitely slowly realizing more and more that she might have been a little wrong about them after all.

"Alright let's get going."

Xilo started to walk forward with Xelfia towards their destination.

Back in Tork whenever he had explored his own town library he unfortunately could never find too much useful information except for very broad things like the name of the continent he was on and what part he was in specifically but anything past that he couldn't find. Except of course is some passerby or towns person created a book themselves and gave it to the library. But those were rare exceptions. Though they add up over the years. This library was different though. It contained thousands upon thousands of books with all sorts of different information and topics. At Least that's what he understood from one of the books he had read.

Today he was determined to look for as much information as he possibly could well he had the time. Of course his priority was still Astral Zones mostly but it could never hurt to know more.

Climbing up the steps the finally made their way to the entrance of the library. Only to be stopped by a peculiar person at the door.

"Identification please."

The person's entire body and face were covered in a hood for some reason but that was definitely a women's voice he had heard coming from it. "Why's she like that?" Quickly crossed his mind but he soon got past it while he and Xelfia handed over the pass's they had gotten at the City Entrance.

"This right?"

"Yes, One moment please."

With that she took out a device he had never seen before scanned it and handed it back to him.

"You're only allowed 5 hours maximum a day afterwards you have to leave, other then that have a nice visit."

"5 hours? why"

"Rules are rules."

With that she turned and walked away from him without even bothering to hear his reply at all. Well it was strange that there was a cap on their visit time. It's not like he minded it too much. Though he was still curious about the reason for such a thing.

"What was that?"

"Who knows, Let's get going, don't want to waste too much time."

"Hmm...ok."

After that they both headed towards the section Xilo wanted to see the most first.

Along the way there all they saw in front of them were shelves upon shelves of books loaded to the absolute last centimeter. If Xilo wasn't careful he felt like they might just come crashing down from being moved the wrong way.

"Their sure is a lot of things here."

"You got that right, But don't expect everything here to be useful either. Some of it could just be old junk really. Also be careful with the way you handle the books they don't look very sturdy."

"I'll be fine don't worry"

With a little more walking they finally made it to their destination.

The Astral Zone section.

Of course other things related to it were in this section but other than that there was only that kind of stuff there. Ranging from what they were, to a database on how many there were that were known. After a couple of minutes of looking he finally found what he was after. It was called Basic's of Astral Zones. It was just a book that gave general knowledge and whatnot of them. He'd look for other more specifics later when he knew more. With that he turned towards one of the open tables in the library and sat down.

"You can grab any book you like as well. Then come sit with me."

He slightly gestured to the seat beside him then buried himself in what he had chosen. Leaving Xelfia all on her own. With that she grabbed a book apart of the section Xilo chose from at random then went to sit down beside him as well and immerse herself in her own reading. Thankfully She was able to learn how to read and write over the years.

"Turns out it wasn't so pointless after all."

After learning human speech that was something she learned as well after. Thankfully finding all the different documents and writings from the people she had killed over the years helped immensely and really what else was she supposed to do with her time? She had 15 years of free time anyways.

Enjoy
