A Little Help Here and There

The Boy she saw had long dusty ash silver hair with random marks of red all around it. His eyes were piercingly sharp which made him seem cold and distant but also contained loneliness in them with a darker silver mixed with red on his pupils. His lips were for the most part expressionless but he did have a slight smile that could send shivers down people's spines. Combined with the slight innocence of a child with a slight baby face that hadn't completely gone away yet.

Even so he was surrounded by an overbearing cold and indifferent look and attitude that still couldn't completely hide the gentleness that stayed hidden underneath it all even if it was extremely hard to see. Heck she even only saw that gentleness in him after all the years of observing people or else even she wouldn't have noticed it. The most surprising thing of all though was the slights fangs that slightly protruded out of his mouth when he slightly opened his mouth. No other human she saw before had something similar and that also allowed her to notice the more subtle sharpness of his finger nails that could somewhat resemble claws retracted which brought another surprise to her.

He was different.

More different than anything she'd seen so far and because of that she wanted to observe even more which led her to look at his entire body at once. Doing so though made her end up bringing her into a slight daze.

He was Handsome even for his age. It was a budding handsomeness that would definitely grow even more the older he got and the less childishness he had. In fact you could even say he was one of the most handsome out of all the people she'd seen. Even if they were all trash she'd still seen a lot of good looking people whether they were women or men but this boy still managed to throw her into a slight daze with all her experience and personality combined.

Breaking out of her daze after a short second she watched him slightly nervously walk up to the forest getting closer step by step. With each step she grew a budding hope that maybe just possibly he'd be different even if it wasn't a night and day difference just something that could lead her to believe that out of all the people she'd seen so far he would stand out as something else at least. Obviously to find out whether or not this was true she had to observe more and come to a conclusion herself.

"Please don't disappoint me boy."

Though one thing was obvious to her from her observation. He was probably not fully human but to her that only added to the uniqueness of him and got her more intrigued with him instead. She also noticed His cold and indifferent aura. Though he appeared that way he still had the slight gentleness and loneliness that she had seen before in him which helped him in her eyes appear more different compared to everyone else she saw because none of them had this feeling like he did. She had seen it before but it wasn't as real as this feeling gave to her now because before those people were all faking it. With seeing his aura and the differences in it she could see the night and day difference between them and that proved that Most likely the boy was similar to her in that aspect.

Maybe not for the same reasons but it was definitely a point that connected them together on some level and she hoped the connection she made theoretically would lead her to finally not having such a boring dull life. Even if she did prefer peace and quiet with safety she was also lonely and bored.

"Hehehehe"

Laughing she watched the boy slowly and carefully walk through the forest as if looking for something but she didn't exactly know what he wanted so she continued to watch. Finally the boy came across a wild dog near the entrance which was an extremely weak creature to her but she did notice the boy became excited the second he spotted it further up ahead.

"Now what could you possibly want with that thing?"

She saw him start to slow down his pace and begin stalking the creature. With that tt finally hit her what he was doing and why he was so excited he wanted to fight the dog. That thought slightly disappointed her but she also saw the boy showed no vulgar joy or killing intent when trying to approach the dog all she saw was a weak Awakening stage boy slowly but excitedly shuffle towards his prey. But then something unexpected happened. She saw an Awakened Beast also trailing the boy.

Seeing the Astral Beast stalking him she quickly decided to kill it off so it wouldn't disturb what he was trying to do. If it did end up killing him it would ruin her whole plan and observing and testing of him. After seeing the beast died instantly she quickly brought her attention back onto him only to see him become disappointed all of a sudden and the dog walking further away.

"strange I looked away for a second and this happened."

She quickly understood why though it seemed the boy didn't actually bring a weapon with him into the forest. Once she figured that information out that it truly brought a wonderful laugh from her lizard like body and even more so quickly confirmed that he was someone different even if he did come here to hunt creatures.

In reality it was also quite cute in a way, the boy looked so cold and indifferent coupled with how he tried to stalk a creature and then ending up forgetting one of the most important things he would need, it really was adorable.

"Hahahaha..truly a strange one"

Maybe he was an idiot or on the dumber end or just a simple slip of the mind but it was still a truly funny thing to witness. After she finished enjoying the moment she continued watching as the boy back tracked scanning the ground for something he could use till he eventually gave up and tried to make a weapon for himself.

"Hoh."

"Interesting he doesn't plan or maybe even know about his fangs or claws ability to act as a weapon and is going to choose to make one instead...hmm well lets see what he can do."

She watched as he carefully looked around the area trying to find things to make a weapon until it looked like he finally created a weak wooden stake that probably wouldn't break through any Astral Beasts skin honestly. It was slightly disappointing but she knew she couldn't expect better with the skills and things he had on hand to use.

"Well I can probably slightly help it penetrate skin when he goes to use it at least"

With that she continued her observation of him. Until finally he came across another wild dog but she also noticed there happened to be another Astral Beast behind him but this time around it was another Awakening stage like him so she chose to ignore it while setting her plan into motion and use it to test the boys abilities even if it was a little mean.

After deciding what to do she let the events play out natural as she could while slightly guiding the Astral Wolf towards him a little bit. Watching the dog run off after witnessing the Wolf she watched the boy turning around freeze up when he saw the Astral Wolf tackling into him at full speed. Seeing as how he wasn't reacting at all she slightly cushioned the impact on him using her Astral Energy and watched him fall to the ground.

Afterwards she even also had to help him in his struggle and even helped him stab the creature with his stake. But for the most part she only gave slight help and watched as the boy did all the work. Now with him on top of the wolf he seemed to be trying to find a weapon until finally he realized he had fangs in his mouth that could do something. The boy brought his mouth down and tore open the neck of the Wolf instantly killing the poor thing and watched him exhale through his entire body as if he was relaxing.

"Impressive."

She commented on the sidelines as she slowly watched the boy pick the Wolf up and walk out of the forest. Along the way quite a few beasts traced the scent of blood but she simply killed any of them that came to close.

Finally she watched the boy leave the forest. After his day of visiting she finally got a positive response to what she was looking for. Something different and he was definitely something that could liven up her life and possibly even change it forever. With these exciting thoughts coursing through her brain she slightly waved her tail at him almost as if waving him off.

"I truly hope you return to liven up my day once again boy and maybe I'll even try getting closer next time"

with a slight lizardy smile she closed her eyes as she basked in the darkness and emotions she was feeling after so so long and set back to the cave she called home inside the forest.

I Struggled a little bit with the way i wanted him to look but i think i did an ok job with it in the end.

While these chapters were something a bit different then i did before i hope they were still enjoyable.

This is also the end of her perspective for now for those curious.

Enjoy

Thank you for reading...

P.S. I do have a cover for the novel in the making but when it'll come i have zero idea.
