7 Enticing Bai Longtian

Jie Heijun gave a small smile as he stood before the Bai Family Elders and Bai Longtain. He could even see the disdain they regarded him with, by the fact they were all sitting, and he was left to stand.

Still, his smile didn't waver in the least. "Junior, how long do you plan on keeping silent? Have you finally realized the position you're in?" The Third Elder spoke, growing impatient. Did the junior believe he could put on airs before them or something?

Taking a glance at the old man speaking, Jie Heijun turned his head back toward the family head. Seeing this disrespectful action, the Third Elder just about jumped straight from his seat to straggle Jie Heijun.

With one look from Bai Longtian, warning him to not stoop down to the level of someone from the younger generation, the Third Elder calm down while shooting death glares toward Jie Heijun.

Catching the exchange between the two, Jie Heijun had to give Bai Longtian some credit. He could now tell what it meant to have high strength. Sitting before him was a man said to be the strongest in Beach Town and the atmosphere around him, gave proof.

With just his posture, he didn't slouch a tiny bit at all. The man's face even set in a stone expression giving nothing away to his thoughts or feelings. His temperament was indeed levels above his son Bai Qingyun.

Under normal circumstances, a youth like Jie Heijun wouldn't be able to keep their composure when facing somebody at Bai Longtian's caliber. But who was Jie Heijun? He was such a said youth, and his past experiences wouldn't let him willing, lose in front of anyone.

Even during the times when others bullied him, he would stand back up and be willing to continue until they were satisfied or stopped, from his persistence of never quitting.

"Third Elder makes a valuable point, all of us are busy right now with the tournament happening soon, and don't have much time to idle around. If you want your offer taken seriously, I advise you to speak, or you may escort yourself out at any time." Bai Longtian said, defending the disrespect shown to the Third Elder.

Jie Heijun just reached in his black robes and pulled out an item. This item was the same and last Exp Stone he got from the unique resident inside the dungeon. He felt no problem in using this as a bargaining chip because the talents gained from residents of the same type, never changed.

Even if the residents he fought were even more special than the one he came across, it wouldn't make a difference. The only difference would be the quantity of the exp energy.

Sadly, he didn't have anymore because of the mysterious rock. At first, he had wanted to farm the dungeon for more Exp Stones. However, when he found out Bai Qingyun was using a short time frame of a week to gain a rapid strength increase, he had to discard this plan.

By the fact, Bai Qingyun was trying to use Exp Stones from the Siege Forest; he already had an idea to the resources available in the Bai Family. They must be in a lack of stones that would bring out greater attacking potential.

It was so fortunate; he had just the stones for getting that type of talent. After all, the source of getting such talents, wouldn't matter if it was the Siege Forest or from the dungeon hidden in Beach Town.

And if the talent just happened to have an extra ability to tremendously decrease the defense and resistance potential, who was he, to deny the Bai Family from getting it? "You have probably already guessed it; this is an Exp Stone I acquired not too long ago." Jie Heijun began.

"Are you treating us Elders as fools? Of course, we can see that! But this still doesn't qualify as 'an offer we wouldn't want to refuse.' If you are done embarrassing yourself, scram already!" The Third Elder interrupted.

Those around the room also seemed to share the same agreement. Since when did the Bai Family lack Exp Stones to the point any random junior could come up and offer them some? This kind of action was the same as calling them, beggars.

"Really? Does the family head of the Bai Family share this same view? Do you not want to hear how I got this Exp Stone despite lacking money?" Jie Heijun asked.

The expression on Bai Longtian's face never changed. "Continue. There will be no more interruptions." He stated as if making laws with every word spoken. This intention was also enforced, by the fact every elder in the room straighten their backs more while small signs of sweat began to show on them.

Jie Heijun was surprised by the amount of fear shown in the elders' eyes after Bai Longtian spoke a few words. Was the strength he possessed that great?

"Before I say, I want to ask if the gambling house for the youth selection tournament, is being sponsored by the Bai Family this time?" Jie Heijun asked. "It is." Bai Longtian nodded.

"In that case, I have two conditions I need to be accepted before I make my offer." Hearing there were conditions before even hearing the offer; the Third Elder was ready to explode again as he clenched his hand in a fist.

Bai Longtian also finally let out an expression, as he gave a frown when listening to Jie Heijun's unreasonable request. There was no reason even to let him inside the Bai Family estate, let alone ask for demands without any might as backing.

"Junior." He said as his eyes narrowed coldly. He didn't add anything else to his words, but it still got the point across to everyone in the room. Do not try my patience indefinitely. Jie Heijun also caught this clue.

"These conditions are needed so that I also can benefit from this deal. I only want to have the right to choose my gambling odds starting from the semi-finals, and the money paid for this offer, be placed on those odds." Jie Heijun clarified.

"Are you offering a Dungeon Zone location?" Bai Longtian finally asked. He had long since determined the Exp Stone came from a dungeon. Otherwise, somebody like Jie Heijun who didn't possess the ability to get Exp Stones from the Siege Forest or buy them, wouldn't have one.

Even if he had gained some from the Siege Forest, he would still need to pay Duan Jiang a fee to 'sell' them, regardless if he didn't plan on selling them. Furthermore, there were no benefits in selling such items to his family by then.

The Bai Family Elders was speechless as they heard the question their leader asked. If that was true, how had the brat survived the dungeon?

"Yes, but I need assurance that your Bai Family will not go back on your word." Jie Heijun responded calmly. He wasn't surprised this time Bai Longtian managed to see through his cautions. This question was a given, from having noticed traces of his character.

If they had plans to torture him in hopes of gaining the information, they would be dreaming. He wasn't so weak will that pain would make him talk, if anything, it would make him hold onto the information even more.

As for searching the whole town, what part of Beach Town hadn't been examined trying to find a dungeon out of desperation with the path to greater strength blocked by the things inside the Siege Forest?

"Very well, using the binding contracts among business deals is common, this shall suffice correct?" Bai Longtian questioned.

Seeing that Bai Longtian was too eager in knowing the location to ask what sort of talent it gave or probably believing he could not possess such knowledge, Jie Heijun wasted no time agreeing. With everything achieved, he only needed to get money for the tournament entry.

It was a shame he couldn't take money from the deal to solve his problem, but then Duan Jiang would never let it slide if he found out there was a sale transaction involving Exp Stones. Being that the Bai Family didn't like him, he wouldn't put it past them to inform Duan Jiang.

This problem, also left the matter of Bai Qingyun still heading toward the Siege Forest. He would have hoped to be able to sabotage him but didn't see that being possible with the old man acting as his bodyguard. He was sure if he got to close, the old man would know.

In the end, he needed to head to the Siege Forest as well, and try his luck near the outer edges. After all, it was the only way to make money fast enough to join the tournament.

The next day could be seen with Bai Qingyun about to leave, to join up with the old man in the Siege Forest. "Father! Is something wrong?" he asked with a small bit of panic. Bai Longtian shook his head slightly. "No, I was here to inform you that the family discovered a Dungeon Zone. When you get back, there should be enough Exp Stones to have you form a talent with an increase in attacking potential."

With that, Bai Longtian handed his son an Exp Stone. "This one has a fierce degree of high attack to it. If you find yourself close to forming a talent, use it." Bai Qingyun smile at the gift from his father. "Thank you, Father!"
