43 Chapter 43
The golden egg began shining rays of light.
I quickly looked to the camera to turn it off but no light was reflected so I just let it be.
I stood still staring at the egg that was vibrating intensely.
The egg vibrated for a few seconds until it abruptly stopped.
My breath paused with it and I watched with anticipation.
Little by little, the cracks began shining and expanding throughout the entirety of the egg.
It shook a little and as I watched it in anticipation.
Uh... Click it again?
I tapped the golden egg.
Immediately after, the egg exploded with golden light
The golden light shined my entire face, but the brilliance did not feel uncomfortable at all, rather very warm and comforting.
I basked in its light until trickles of light began condensing into itself.
A golden pearl was formed and a silvery glint radiated off of it.
Silver cracks appeared on the golden object and the Achievement Egg tab moved to the statistics tab.
The golden silver pearled floating around and settled down right next to my titles.

The tab appeared right as the notification for the Achievement Rookie dissipated and odd chills began trailing down my entire body.
I slumped down on the chair.
Hmm, it seems the stat effectivity does not take place for the luck and it is rounded to the base number instead of having decimals added.

The chills traveled from the entirety of my body. The feeling was the same as when you wake up and you slept in the wrong position cutting off the blood flow to your leg, so now you can't move your leg at all, and feels like tv static.
That's the same feeling except in my entire body.
It felt very uncomfortable and whenever I tried moving I felt jolts attack the nerves I tried moving.
The TV static feeling remained chilling throughout my whole body and I felt even more chills travel up and down my figure.
The hairs in my body rose and my muscles began twitching uncontrollably. Under my clothes though, none of this was visible to the stream.
My upper torso slumped down and fell to my knees.
Oh man, my chat probably thinks I'm paralyzed now or something.
Chills traveled through my face now, and I felt some slight molding there.

Oh, it's good that I fell face-first into my knees though, if people saw my features being played like this randomly I don't know if I'd be executed or dissected by mad scientists.
Either way, none of them sound good.
It's something I'll have to keep in mind for next time, though. If I'm getting a stat upgrade or opening an achievement egg, do it privately with no one else to watch you.
That'll keep me from being locked in a cellar like an SCP.
I felt a little change finally. Now, I don't think there was much difference in my face except a few details so it probably will just very slightly bother the chat.
I hope it's not enough to make them check and compare footage two minutes ago.
Or instead, I could just turn off the facecam and tell chat that I was having some issues and then turn it back on after a while. They'll see a difference in my face, but I could be able to use any excuse such as cleaning my face, chugging water, or even use the lighting as an excuse.
I felt a cooling feeling inside my brain and spine travel upwards and downwards constantly which was somehow revitalizing my thoughts.

My brain was speeding up a little and my senses had improved once again.
I feel as if I just drank a whole lot of energy drink, because holy!
Something was pulsing inside my spine and feeding it something that then traveled to my brain and upgraded it.

This feels so strange but the feeling of having faster thoughts and responses from your body also makes it feel a little addicting.
The spazzing and pulsing began weakening and my face gradually began to do less intense movements.

Finally, it ended and my muscles stop spazzing and the TV static left my body.
I began gripping my fingers as the feeling slowly came back into my body.
Wew! All of this from opening an achievement egg.
Looking up at the monitor from below, I went to OBS and disabled the facecam quickly.
"Sorry guys, I'll be back in a few minutes."
Okay.
They'll obviously be suspecting something happened since I just randomly slumped in my chair and then fell face-first like if I went unconscious.
What do I tell them?
I was hot? Nope, it's cold and raining right now and also one of the reasons why I'm wearing baggy clothing.
I've got 15 points of intelligence, why am I making it difficult for myself?
My brain felt as if it was relaxing and taking a breath—which is oddly strange, and my thoughts began taking a more rational direction.
First, I'd prefer not to lie about anything because if I do it'll probably come back to bite me later in the butt.
I could tell them I was feeling a little sleepy and light-headed and then brush it off as a one-time thing that just occurred randomly.
Random things like this happen to human bodies so it wouldn't be unfeasible.
I could stay quiet, and make it seem mysterious but then I'd probably reach my family and friends and make them worry.
Eh, just a one-time thing that happened.
I stretched my arms and legs and walked to the mirror to look at my changes.
Not many differences honestly, they were all pretty internal and the only ones I can notice are that my eyebrows now look a little raised.
Usually, showing more expression will make you look a little more good looking and I can already clearly notice this.
My voice from when I talked to the chat just now seemed a little more… attention-catching and I have a small feeling of restriction that changes the expressions I make into better-looking expressions.
Say, I make a stupid face, I'll still make the stupid face but something will guide my facial muscles to look as charming as possible while making that stupid face.
There's a saying that says an elegant person's actions will always be elegant, and it is more or less now the case for me.
I roll my neck around and crack a few bones.
Not sure what repercussions I could get from this, but for now I think it's a positive.
I open the system shop and immediately look for the Stat boost.

I watched the price jump from 1,500 to 7,500 achievement points.
Dang, that's a pretty huge jump.
Well, getting achievement points isn't too hard to do anyway, especially with the streaming.
I go back to my stats tab and tap on luck.
Yes! It is now finally time to get my 2nd luck point.
I tap the luck stat, however, nothing happens.
Ah, might I have been cheated?
I tap it again. Nothing.
I look at my available stat points and see it is now at 0.
Okay, I don't think I was cheated. Maybe it's taking a while for it to load?
Hmm, shoot.
Nothing's happening right now.
Is there a system bug?
GM!!!! Have I been scammed out of my 1,500 achievement points?
Well, this is… not very pleasing.
Ah, am I going to have to buy another stat boost for 7,500 to put in luck?
What if that one glitches as well?
Aw man, I can't believe this happened to me.
System, have I been cheated?
I wait for a response, but the system still is not responding.
Well, that sucks.
I sigh and slump onto my bed.
Okay, well I guess at least I still got stat jumps from the achievement egg.
And why is the system not responding? Maybe it's having an error and I just need to wait for it to reload or something and it'll give me back my luck point.
Is there lag in the system? Hmm, very interesting.
Well, I'll just wait and keep asking the system for its response.
In the meantime, let's get back to streaming.
I sink back onto my chair and click the turn on the camera.
Hmm, I forgot to mute myself. So many errors that I'm committing.

I look at chat and wait a few seconds for their response.

I saw some questions asking about my well-being and I just smiled and affirmed them of my current good health.
Ooh, I did play basketball for a few hours and then still do some extra workout today so I could also use that as an excuse.
I hear audio of people yelling coming from my earphones.
Oops, I forgot about them.
As I'm putting them on, I hear them yelling out my name.

Ah, it makes me a little warm that people care about me like this.

Makes me a little guilty that I made them feel like this even though nothing bad happened.
"Don't worry. I think I'm just a little tired. I played basketball earlier today for a few hours and then did some workout at the gym."
[Redde: "Bro, Charlie. You've got to chill man. You shouldn't overexert yourself, you're still— sorry to say this, but not too healthy."]

I smiled gently at the warmth I was feeling.
"No, I think I'm fine now. I just had to get a cup of water."
[bzoomster: "Dude, I don't know if it's too healthy to keep playing. Maybe you should go to sleep now?"]
[Juliamn: "Yeah dude. Health above all."]
"No, it's fine. Thank you guys very much."
I feel a little bad that they're concerned over me like this even though nothing happened to me.
I grab my mouse and see that everyone's gathered around my character.
I put an explosive bunny down.
[wipL: "Oh go—"]
All 10 of us were killed by the same explosive bunny.
"Hahhahahah. I'm sorry. Hahah I'm so sorry."
I apologized, while not really apologizing and with absolutely zero regrets.
They laughed along with me and the tenseness that could be felt in the atmosphere went away.

Hehe, chapter late by 9 hours. I apologize. I did not wish to extend the cliffhanger for longer but I was given three essays for today LOL.
My teachers just love to give us long assignments.
