I Like Him

Ayumi feels his heart racing out of control. "Are you scared too? Is that why your heart is beating so fast?" She asks him. He immediately answers back, "Yeah! I'm scared too! That's why it's beating fast! I don't know what to do!" She feels safe in his arms.

About 15 minutes later, the lights turned back on. Sanyu lets go of Ayumi, "It's back on, we'll be fine now." He's glad that the awkward moment has gone. She looks up around the room, it was bright. "Can you... let go of me now..?" He shyly asks her. Ayumi looks at Sanyu, "Are you sick?"

"No, why would you ask that?" He questions. "Because your face is as red as a tomato right now," She then reaches to touch his forehead. He tries to change the subject, "Aaah~ it's getting so late already! Hahaha..lets sleep!" Sanyu grabs the stuffed giraffe and gives it to her, "This is one of my favorite stuffed animals, I hope it can help you sleep well." She bows to thank him.

He walks to the living room and lays down on the couch. 'What's up with me? Every little thing she does... excites my heart.'

The next day, Ayumi wakes up early to pack up her things and cook breakfast. She goes into the living room and sees Sanyu, asleep. 'He's so handsome..even when he's sleeping,' she thinks to herself. Ayumi's face turns bright pink, she shakes her head out of the weird thoughts she was having. She hits her head, "No! Never!" He is awakened by her little yells.

Ayumi sighs then looks back at him then is startled, "Oh my god! You're awake already?!" Sanyu sits up and runs his fingers through his hair, "Yeah, I'm a sensitive sleeper, so those little yells you did, I heard them all." "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up.." she feels somewhat guilty.

"That's alright," he tells her. "I was going to make breakfast..." she says. Sanyu smiles at her, "Sure, go ahead. There's some ingredients in the fridge. I'd like to try your cooking since Kaya always brags about it." She smiles back, "You're about to see!"

When she finished cooking, they both ate. His eyes sparkled, "Whoa! It's mad delicious!" She smiles, "Thank you!" "I can see why Kaya admires your cooking skills so much. You're a goddess at cooking. Too good to be true," he laughs.

Sanyu then drops Ayumi off at her apartment later on during the day. "If you need anything, feel free to text me alright?" He says to her. She nods and goes inside the apartment. Sanyu returns.

Ayumi's mother runs to her, "Where were you all night?!! I was worried sick about you!!" She hugs Ayumi. She honestly answers, "I didn't want to come back here.. so I was with Sanyu." Her mother looks at her, "The whole night?! What were the two of you doing?!" "He just comforted me and kept me company. I would've gone to Kaya's but she wasn't home," Ayumi says.

Her mother looks at her suspiciously, "NOTHING happened??" "Nothing," Ayumi replies back. "Ayumi you're not the type to just go spend the night with a male friend, but since you did with Sanyu... does it mean you like him?" Her mother asks. Ayumi's eyes widens, "No! You're wrong! I don't like him, he's only a friend!" Her heart begins to beat fast.

Mother puts her hands on both of Ayumi's shoulder, "My silly daughter, a mother knows their child best than anyone else can. And from what I can see and feel from you... you like him. Just admit it and don't make things confusing for you. I'm sure you have many thoughts going on in your little mind about these feelings right now."

Ayumi looks down at the ground, "Yeah, I like him, but so what.. ? It doesn't mean anything when he likes someone else. Nothing more than a one sided love.." Mother hugs Ayumi, "But I think he likes you." Her eyes widens, "That.. can't possibly be true."

The weekend ended and school started again, Kaya hangs out with Ayumi during lunch. "And then a clown came out of nowhere! Everything was basically just crazy!" Kaya laughs. "You seemed to have had a real nice weekend party," Ayumi smiles.

Sanyu is not hanging out with the two girls, he is talking with Mae. She smiles at him, "How was your weekend?" He remembers what happened and tries to not react to it in front of Mae, "It was boring." She looks at him, "Boring? Oh! Listen, I have a party coming up THIS weekend, I'm inviting a lot of people over, do you want to come?" "I don't know.." he says. "I'll invite your friends over too," she smiles. "I'll think about it," he tells her.

"You want something to drink? I'll buy," Ayumi asks Kaya. "Sure! Get me strawberry soda!" Kaya smiles big. Ayumi nods her head then walks to buy some drinks at the vending machine. When she arrives at the vending machine, she sees Sanyu with Mae.

"I'm learning how to do sign language to communicate with the mute! Isn't that cool?" She laughs. Sanyu is amazed, "Whoa~ that IS cool!" "Do you want to learn some? I can teach you right now," she smiles comfortably at him.

Ayumi quickly buys the drinks then runs back to Kaya. She doesn't want to see them. On the run back, she bumps into Yuuto. He catches her, "Whoaaa what's with the rush?" She looks at him, "Nothing..." He looks over and sees Sanyu talking and laughing with Mae. 'Does Ayumi like Sanyu? Is she jealous right now?' He thinks to himself.
