11 Chapter 11: Another Loop

Subaru was standing in his restart point and began to panic a little because he began thinking and remembered that he could only die one more time. He had made barely any progress to solving the situation before him and contemplated leaving the others behind.

He stumbled over to a set of stairs and put his head into his hands. He began to sort through all of the available options but couldn't think of a way to avoid dying again. He could only think of leaving the town but that presented the problem of him not knowing how difficult the outside world really was. His only true times fighting were with the toads and the undead army, both of which proved to be quite difficult.

'Now what? I'm out of options…I can't do anything. If I try to warn the town they'd probably never believe me, I mean you'd really expect a huge horde to just suddenly appear tomorrow. Also if they did believe me I doubt it'd be enough time to prepare for the battle.'

Subaru sighed to himself and stood back up again.

'Maybe if I got someone who'd listen to me…I'll search for Yunyun. If she doesn't listen to me then I'll try Kazuma and Aqua…If they don't…'

He walked towards the location that he had first met Yunyun but was interrupted when he heard a crying boy coming from nearby. He walked around to try and find him as he was the one taking notice of the cries. He eventually found a young boy who seemed to be maybe five years old and kneeled down so they could be at eye level.

"Are you okay? Are you lost?"

The boy nodded while continuing to sniffle and Subaru smiled a little.

"Would you like me to help you?"

The boy nodded again.

"What's your name?"

"….Bubble…"

"Okay, Bubble." 'A strange name of I'm being honest.'

Subaru stood up and took the boy's hand. They walked through the market and after awhile they found the boy's mother. He ran over and grabbed onto her legs.

"Be sure not to lose sight of him again, of course now that I know what you look like it'll be much easier to return him if this happens again."

"Thank you. I don't have much but I'd like it if you could take this flower, it's the rarest of the ones I collected so I'd like to show my gratitude through this."

"Thank you, I'll be sure to cherish it."

Subaru waved Bubble off and then continued on with his original goal. He reached the alley and

prepped himself to once again be beaten up by thugs. He walked into the alley and waited for the attack to start but no one came. He was confused at first before it hit him.

"I forgot to take into account the time of day!"

He heard footsteps crawling up from behind him so he quickly turned around to be greeted by Yunyun.

'Huh? Why would she be here? Did I change the future or something?'

"A-Are you okay sir?"

"Yunyun!"

"How do know my name?!"

"Oh-right…Ignore that fact for now I really need your help."

"Eehhhh?"

Subaru went up to her and began to try explain the problem.

"There's going to be a hor-!"

Subaru suddenly felt a sensation in his chest. It was almost as if the very blood pumping through his heart had been stopped. He felt the sensation disappear then tried saying it again but the pain returned. He felt massive pain in his chest and it was only happening when he tried to talk about the future.

He stepped back and breathed heavily for a bit while Yunyun had a concerned and freaked out look on her face.

'Why can't I talk? What is going on?! Are you saying I can't even warn people of what's going to happen?!'

He returned to his normal breathing pattern and looked at Yunyun before deciding on his next action.

"I'm sorry but I don't think I should tell you. In fact I think it's be bette did you forgot this whole thing happened in the first place."

"Huh?"

Subaru darted out of the alley and merged with the crowded streets to lose Yunyun. He managed to get away but now had more thoughts on his mind.

'So I can't tell people of what will happen in the future…That's just unfair, giving me a power that lets me be in the future but then force me to not talk about it. Now what's going to happen with Kazuma and Aqua?'

Subaru tried thinking of his future actions and decided to once again take money from Rudy. After he did that he rented a stable and laid on the hay that was insanely uncomfy. It was still daylight out but he wanted to just wait for Kazuma and Aqua before starting any future plans. He still didn't know how he was going to get out of his death loop but he was determined to save his life, no matter how many deaths it'd take.
