10 Chapter 10: Plan Put Into Action!

Subaru and Kazuma were waiting at their table for any new party members to join them. Subaru was of course specifically waiting for Megumin so he specifically put it up at the time he believed Megumin came to talk with them the first time.

"This is taking awhile, don't you think asking people to be of advanced classes is going to limit the amount of people willing to join?"

"I don't think so, I believe there's at least one person looking to join any party."

They waited some more then a familiar girl appeared with her hungry stomach.

"I saw the notice seeking adventurers of advanced class. Is this the right place?"

Megumin had once again appeared and Subaru sighed with relief knowing that his plan would be able to work.

"Yes it is! Would you like to join our party?"

"Wait wait! We don't even know what her stats are yet! Are you sure we should let her join before knowing anything?"

"I think she'll do perfectly, see her crimson colors eye? She's a member of the powerful Crimson Magic Clan, they're famous for having some of the greatest spell casters ever."

"Indeed I am! I am Megumin, first among the spell-casters of the Crimson Magic Clan! My ultimate magic can level mountains and shatter stone...!

Y-You don't happen to need an exceptional magic user, do you? And if you will pardon my asking, could you give me something to eat before we start the interview? I haven't had a bite to eat in three

days..."

"Of course you can! You're a member of our party now so you can go ahead and eat with us!"

Megumin sat down and started to eat. She was once again eating faster then Subaru had seen someone eat before, in fact he could swear she was eating even faster this time.

"In case you didn't understand what her magic was, she was pretty much saying she solely does explosion based magic."

"If she's an explosion user that means we should be able to wipe out large areas of enemies easily." Kazuma turned to Megumin. "Out of curiosity, what were your parents' names?"

"My mother is Yuiyui. May father is Hyoizaburou!"

"Hm…"

"Hey! If you have something to say about my parents' names, let us hear it!"

Megumin started a rant on why their names were perfectly normal while nearly choking on her food in the process. After she finished eating they went to the quest board and Subaru saw the toad killing quest one.

'It is time…'

He pulled it off the wall while thinking of what happened last time this quest had been accepted.

"How about this one? Toad killing doesn't sound to difficult."

"You're true there, with Megumin here we could probably kill every toad in the place."

"Haha…" 'I wish I could tell him she can only cast it once a day…'

They were once again in the field and Subaru was ready to save his life.

"I think it would be better to save Megumin for later so in case we get in trouble we could easily get out of it."

"But if we just use her we'd be done in a flash. Why not just let her cast her magic on the toads needed and get out of here?"

"I just thought it would be better that way…"

"Fine I guess but i don't get why we don't just use her. So let's go kill some frogs-I mean toads!"

"Megumin you stay here for now and if I give you this signal that means fire off your magic and help us out. Be sure to not get too close to the battle!"

Subaru ran off and started attacking the toads. After awhile he was finally able to take down one of the Toads and while Kazuma was distracted with the toad he was fighting Subaru began to try and awaken the undead horde. He looked around to see if the man in armor was anywhere in sight but saw no signs of him. He walked over to were he had died before and put his ear to the ground to see if he could head any bones rattling around. After awhile he started hearing it faintly and began to hear the ground beneath him move.

'They're coming!'

He got up as fast as he could and darted away to a safe location and waited for a bit. He stayed in the same spot without moving for 5 minutes with no activity whatsoever.

"Huh?"

He walked over to the location cautiously and started to look around with a confused look on his face. He then stomped the ground twice and undead appeared around him again.

"Ah! Are you kidding me! Why come up now?!?!"

He ran as fast as he could and yelled to Megumin while throwing his signal in the air. He could see her starting to cast her magic and suddenly felt a strange feeling, almost as if his thoughts were trying to say something.

'Wait is she about to-'

Before he could finish his thought everywhere around him was blown up and he went along with the explosion. He barely felt a thing, the death was instantaneous.

He opened his eyes to be found in the same spot that he had been reincarnated to and that is when he realized himself that he was blown up by Megumin while she blowing up the undead.
