25 Goodbye?

"Huuu..."

Fixing my collar properly, I let out a long sigh of relief after I got out from the dark guild base.

"Damn, that was scary..."

It hasn't been long since I got out from the base and now I'm starting to sweat buckets. Even though it worked out perfectly as planned, there's still a possibility of some things getting out of hand if I ever failed to make a bit of connections with the Dark Guild.

"For our next step is..."

Raising those children that they would never betray the Lohengramm even if using some method like using their own parents against them.

In other words, I'll raise them to become my most loyal servant...

Though, that is easier to be said than to be done. It'll probably take a year or so before I could fully gain their trust, enough to make them as my loyal servants.

"Honestly, this is really troublesome... But it was really worth it."

Why you ask...? Because first of all, I gained some merit or connections that I could use in the future when dealing with problems that is connected with the Dark Guild. For the second, was also because of those children...

Those two have talents in magic.

Although they haven't awakened their crest yet, somehow I could sense the mana surrounding them, started fluctuating when it got nearer to them... Especially to that girl.

Cossette probably noticed it too when I decided to bring those two back home. But not only that, she might've also found out that I'm currently here negotiating at the slum.

"Talk about getting 'two birds with one stone'... No, probably three if the girl's brother is included."

Saying that to myself, I started stretching my arm up as I let out a yawn at the same time.

"I should probably get home by now."

***

And so, the day of departure of Cossette has arrived. Standing at the entrance of the mansion, my mother patted Cossette shoulder as if she was saying 'farewell' to her.

Currently, I was resting my back at the wall while looking at this scene. For the two siblings I picked up a few days ago, they were currently behind Cossette while holding onto a bag full of things like an equipment and clothes they'll be using after they left.

Yes. Those two siblings will follow Cossette on her adventure.

Since the boy and the girl will be turning five after a month, because they're twins, letting Cossette train them first will be without a doubt, the right answer.

Since I'm not in a hurry anyway, and the plan will begin at the start of the academy, I can just let myself rest at ease for two years while training.

At first, Cossette disapproved this but after doing something I hated the most, she immediately agreed... Just by remembering the look on my mother and Cossette's face when I did that, made me think of commiting s̶u̶i̶c̶i̶d̶e̶ because of the embarrassment I got from their eyes.

Ugh. I wanted to puke all my insides out!!

Anyways, I've also said to Cossette that after those two siblings reached at the age of twelve, they should be enrolled at the academy like me.

Although those two siblings were still doubting me, it didn't take long for the both of them to agree. Well, anyone who was doubting their savior can be considered as rude even if it was the right thing to do in the first place...

Just a typical nature of the world... Maybe, it's species, probably?

"Sir Athan!"

Right where I was about to turn around to leave, I was stopped by Leo, the boy of the twin.

"Once again, I would like to thank you for saving us that day. I'll make sure that I'll pay you everything back someday."

With a proper bow, Leo began thanking me. His sister, Aries, also followed along too, as she bowed her head like her brother to me.

"I see..."

I let out a sigh, and then, raised my hands slightly to wave at them for the last time as an goodbye before leaving.

Honestly, I don't need to see them off because it's not like I won't be seeing them in the future. I still have so much things to prepare like for example, getting along with "that" person I have to meet in the future.

Anyways, that person I mentioned was the second main key for making Arthur to trust me. Although that person was a villain, that doesn't mean I couldn't make use of him like Cossette.

After all...

He was none other than the Prince of the Imperial Kingdom, William sev Lakiel.

In the novel, Prince William was a person driven by greed of power. He was the main reason why Athan became a villain in the first place.

Since Athan's mind was full of envy towards Arthur, William took advantage of this and made Athan his own pawn for his plans about defeating Arthur.

Though, it didn't take long for Arthur to understand his plan. Because after killing Athan and his mother, he seize the Imperial Kingdom, also killing successor of the kingdom, William.

Thanks to this, after Arthur successfully killed the kingdom's royalty, Arthur became the new king and made the Imperial Kingdom his own.

He trained the people of his kingdom strong enough to become a challenge for the True Demons to beat.

Although playing king didn't take long as he soon backed away from the title, giving the throne to Athena, who became one of his trustworthy companion he met while soloing the dungeon.

Athena was just a Viscount when he helped Arthur on his problems about the time he killed someone when they were conquering a dungeon.

At first, Arthur was very wary about the girl but it didn't take long for him to trust her after some of his memories came back after he picked up an unknown core inside the dungeon.

Anyways, arriving at the door of the mansion, I took one last glance to Cossette. She noticed this too as she raised her hands up, and waved at me.

"Bye bye, Athan!"

Smiling, I turned back and walked inside the door, quickly heading towards my room.

"Haaa... Second goodbye?"

Remembering everything that happened between me and Alicia, I smiled.

"I wonder how she's doing right now."

I muttered, stretching my arms both side ways. Right where I was about to enter my room, I suddenly heard a whisper behind my ear.

Her we go again...

***

At the same time, somewhere within the human domain, was a man slumped his body on the wall.

His eyes were slightly blue, while his hair is colored brown. It was the same ashy-brown hair as Athan.

Panting heavily, the man tried his best to remain standing. Though, it didn't take long for him to lose his balance. But, before his body was about to reach the ground, a long ear, blonde woman caught his body to her shoulder.

"Aamon!"

Aamon grabbed the wall once again to stand up, but he was stopped by the girl.

"What happened to you? What are you doing here looking beat up?"

He was immediately bombarded by question by the elven woman. Though, instead of a answering her questions, he took out a box from his dimension rune and gave it to the girl.

"What's this?"

"Give... Give it to my son..."

"Huh? What son?"

As if looking at him with disbelief, the blonde woman asked once again.

"Wait a minute, what do you mean son? No. First of all, you have a child? From who?"

"From Celis..."

"That tsundere woman from your party?"

Coughing something like light particles, Aamon answered, "Yes. Our son's name is Athan." While grasping his chest tightly.

"I see... Anyway, what happened to you?!"

Aamon finally stood his body up, and walked away.

"What? Where are you going with that injured body?"

"Give that box to Athan when the time comes. I've already gave the first box to Celis."

Looking at him as if speechless from his answered, the woman shook her head and once again caught Aamon when he was about to fall.

"I have no time to answer your question. I have to do exactly everything he said in order..."

"In order what? Answer me!"

Aamon shook his head and continued walking away the girl without answering.

"If you're not going to answer, I'll come with you."

Before Aamon could give a reply, the girl summoned a carriage with three golems in front.

"You can't..."

"I can..."

The girl immediately pushed Aamon's body inside the carriage and closed the door.

"What about you're school... The academy?"

"Don't worry, I have already summoned a clone if myself there."

"I see..."

Coughing out particles of light once again, Aamon looked outside the window... No. He was infact looking at the sky.

"So, where are we heading?"

"To the Hell's gate."

The girl immediately turned her head towards Aamon just to make sure if she heard it right.

"Hell's gate? Are you crazy!?!"

"...."

"You know that the True Demon King will immediately found us out the moment we entered that door."

"I have somethings to talk to him."

"You... You have to tell me everything that happened after you suddenly left the party, Mr. Hero."

Glaring at her directions, Aamon said.

"Stop calling me that. The past is the past. I don't want to bring that 'thing' back again in the conversation."

"Fine... Just tell me everything that you know."

"I can't..."

"Why you can't?"

Grasping once again to his chest, he tightened it's strength before answering.

"Because it was part of deal."
