11 Chapter 11: I Already Have A Woman Though

3rd Person POV

It took a lot of deliberating, convincing, and bribery from Edward to convince his people promise on their life to not follow him or object the idea of him being knocked out in order to visit the blue rose guardian.

Edward is a good willed person, he has no ill intention, but the reason why he pleaded to come to the village to tell the village chief personally about the adoption ceremony has several reasons.

One of which is the fact that he has a slim chance of being worthy, to even get the chance to test whether you're worthy or not is very rare, many people are willing to give away a lot of their riches for it.

The other is that once he confirmed the existence of the rose, he can report it back to the royal palace, the heroes are almost here, maybe one of them will be worthy, a hero who also has a rose should be the most powerful existence. He and many others are tired of the war that was waged on them, they plan to just end it once and for all, so they need as much of the lords as possible.

If he somehow becomes worthy, it would just means that the western continent will become the strongest continent 2 lords. The heroes maybe summoned by their continent with his royal family taking charge this time, they are not truly on their side, they are on the side of peace, the only way they would be connected to them would be if they marry the heroes with noble houses.

He then went to tell the chief who then prepared for the occasion as he then asked someone to escort the prince to a proper place of stay atop of the tree.

The next day, the chief went to the school and asked teachers for their most talented children to go see the blue rose guardian the day after, and he then went to the library to personally invite Perseus, but it seems like Perseus was at home that day.

Perseus POV

"So you talked that way with the duke and earn us a free trip to the kingdom?" Mom Nyra asked

Everyone heard about me earning the token from the duke or prince, or whatever title he prefers, the news of me speaking bluntly with the prince spread like wildfire and sure enough reached my parents while they were at work. The news was large so they asked me to repeat it over after a good night sleep because they didn't want to be stressed.

"Yes, that is what I said, see I can make friends. I'm not as friendless and anxiety inducing like our readers."

"What?" they both exclaimed

"Nothing."

"I don't think that's what we meant when we say 'make friends.'." Mom Nyra sighs

"But I did what you asked, treat a person as if they're equal, you told me 'Perseus, if you really want to treat a person better than you usually do, treat them as your equal, at least try not to murder anyone with words.', I did exactly as you asked."

"I truly have the urge to strangle you."

"Go ahead, the world seems bleak once you realize that a banana is a type of berry."

"It is?" Mom Rylee asked

"I know, right? So we're going on this trip?"

"Yes, because if I find a nice girl, I'm agreeing to the engagement, because at this point, I'm scared of you being alone for the rest of your life." Mom Nyra replied

"But I already have a woman though."

"Alright, which school is the girl from?" Mom Rylee asked "I am curious about her mental state, is she diagnosed as clinically insane?"

You know what? That hurts, finally getting a taste of my own medicine. Plus, it's from my own mother, so that's a bit of an extra sprinkle of emotional damage.

"That's a bit rude, but no, she's an older woman, she got beautiful black hair, pearl black eyes and a very beautiful face. But she said we gotta wait a couple of years."

Okay, when I word it like that, I think I just made it sound like Leilah is some sort of- You know what, I'll just continue the innocent kid's act and hope for the best, it worked for me thus far.

"Should we report this to a watcher?" Mom Nyra asked with a concerned expression and got up "Where did you meet her?"

"My dreams."

"Wait, before we do anything." mom Rylee then pull her down to make Mom Nyra sit on her lap and whispered into her ears

"He's learning affection, it may be a fictional woman, but he's heading the right path." mom Rylee whispered and tickled mom Nyra who is shifting uncomfortable and blushing.

I can hear all that, some people are just not that discreet and them flirting in front of me is sort of pissing me off. I know you readers are too, cuz y'all are clearly maidenless.

"Alright, so what make you like this girl?" mom Rylee asked

"Great legs and a cute face." They both then facepalmed as if they just gave up "I also prefer older women if you're asking."

They were both about to scold me for my use of language, but a knock on our door was heard which they then opened to see the chief there. I overheard the conversation since they weren't that far away due to our small house.

Yes, the walls aren't that thick, I have trouble sleeping sometimes, you readers can interpret what I'm saying here, I can hear a lot of things that I never want to hear, borderline traumatizing.
