5 Combat Assessment

After Yuuma's individual assessment, came Souta's turn. Souta, who specializes in Puppet Technique, quickly unsealed his puppet he calls Satou and latched his chakra strings into it. The fight was pretty much one-sided as Souta's attacks are deflected promptly by Chiharu-sensei. She even used her dangerous jutsu that almost killed Yuuma twice. But for Souta's case, he was fast, speedy for a puppeteer.
'Why is he even a puppeteer? His speed is impressive for one who specializes in Puppet Techniques. He's just not as fast as I am.'
"It's now your turn Akio," called Chiharu-sensei.
'Now, what to do? Should I show her a quarter or half of my abilities? Oh well.'
"Sensei, be careful!"
'Careful? What is this kid doing? Is he underestimating me? I am a full-fledge Jonin.'
"Here I go, sensei!"
"Magnet Style: Iron Sand Tsunami!"
A massive wave that easily surpassed most houses' height suddenly appears out from the sand and quickly reached Chiharu-sensei. By instinct, she immediately jumps far to the back, trying to evade. But little did she know, another massive wave came from her back, trying to sandwich her. She immediately used,
"Wind Style: Great Wind Protective Wall!"
The jutsu releases powerful gusts of wind to block the incoming waves. But in the end, the jutsu failed. She was immediately swallowed up by the waves and completely immobilized.
"Didn't expect that, huh, sensei?" I cutely asked her.
"No, I didn't expect that Akio. Your kekkei genkai is really well-developed for someone your age. How did you even do that?"
"Well, uncle gave me some tips and notes to better improve my control over the sand," I said cutely.
"Sigh, what can I expect from the Kazekage clan,"

"Okay, now that is over, we shall begin the Team Combat Assessment. You three must learn to have teamwork. Understood?"
"Understood, sensei!"
"Now, let me call over a few Jonins, they will be the ones to assess your cooperation as a team,"
She shunshined away to whoever knows where probably to heal her bruises and call the other Jonins.
'I told her to be careful, but she didn't listen. Probably underestimated me, that dumb bitch.'
"Okay, guys, we need to plan how to cooperate with each other," called Souta.
"What have you planned for Souta?" asked Yuuma.
"Well, from what I saw from each everyone's individual assessment, here is the plan,"
When I heard Souta's plan, I was impressed by his strategies. He is good. Better vote for him as the leader cause I don't have any leadership skills if ever I was assigned.
'I'll probably leave them to the enemies if there worth is done. Smirk.'

(Timeskip. One hour later)

After an hour, Chiharu-sensei went back to us together with two other Jonins.
"Team, these are Jonin Itsuki and Jonin Kokoro. They will be the ones to assess your teamwork,"
"Jonin Itsuki will be the one you three will face. While Jonin Kokoro and I will observe you three on the sides,"
"Team 3, are you ready? We will begin immediately," shouted Jonin Itsuki.
"Ready, Itsuki-sensei!"
"Follow the plan, you two," whispered Souta.

"Begin!" shouted Chiharu-sensei.
I immediately used,
"Magnet Style: Iron Sandstorm"
This jutsu is aimed to distance Itsuki-sensei and us and act as a cover to prepare Souta's puppet, Satou. After Itsuki-sensei evaded the jutsu, Satou, the puppet, immediately release a rain of senbons. While Yuuma runs to the other side and throws a kunai with an explosive tag on it. Mind you, the explosive tag was a powerful one than the standards using Kyo style fuinjutsu.
BOOM!
Smoke rises from where Itsuki-sensei is. Suddenly, he runs to Satou's direction and attempts to cut the chakra strings connected to him. But before he can, I rained down Iron Sand senbons, which he immediately evades. Then Yuuma arrives and engages Itsuki-sensei, coating his sword with chakra. They exchange blows with Itsuki-sensei using a kunai against Yuuma's sword. Itsuki-sensei suddenly got shurikens and threw them into Yuuma's direction. But I quickly encase Yuuma with my iron sand and using those sand launch my own shurikens.
Itsuki-sensei evades the shurikens, but behind him, Satou follows him and throws another senbon barrage. He shunshined to the side and appears before Souta. He attempts to kick Souta, but once again, I encase Souta with iron sand.
"Troublesome iron sand,"
'What can you expect? Jonins could have easily swiped away if I used regular sand, but the iron sand is special. Like my uncle's, my iron sand is coated with a potent poison concocted personally by ANBU poison specialists. And I added some twists with mine.
Itsuki-sensei suddenly runs to my direction. I probably got him annoyed with my iron sand. He swiftly weaved signs for a jutsu,
"Fire Style: Flame Bullet!"
"Magnet Style: Iron Turtle Shield"
"Akio!" shouted Yuuma and Souta.
Souta then immediately controls Satou to release numerous senbons towards Itsuki-sensei while Yuuma launches chakra blades using his sword. I then rallied up with,
"Magnet Style: Iron Sand Drizzle!"
"Oh, shit!" cursed Itsuki-sensei.
He then shunshined away from the three-way attack. He was breathless and kneeled his other leg to catch his breath.
"These kids, their teamwork is practically seamless,"
"Okay, that is enough," ordered Chiharu-sensei.
"Well done, team. You got to defeat a Jonin, and your teamwork is almost perfect," praised Kokoro-sensei.
"You really got the jackpot Chiharu, you got a good team here,"
"Well, we better go now. Our work's finish here," said Itsuki-sensei.
"Thank you for your work Itsuki-sensei and Kokoro-sensei," together, we thanked the two Jonins.
After the assessment, Chiharu-sensei decided we eat up in a restaurant. We walked inside the village, and I saw some things I haven't notice before. This village is dirt poor! I lived in this village for 8 years, and I just notice this. That would be because I train most of the time, and ever since I got the hang of the shunshin, I have always used it to travel around.
'The leaders of this village needs to do something. Maybe that is why Suna was always hostile to the other four hidden villages. Sand and the never-ending desert is the only thing it can offer.'
'Why not carve some rivers from existing ones along the borders of the country? And maybe start a farming project like how the Middle Eastern countries back on earth did.'
After we ate at the restaurant, I went home immediately to rest early. But when I opened the door, my uncle was sitting there reading something in the living room.
"You are back," said the Kazekage with a cold-face.
"Yes, I have returned uncle," I emotionlessly replied.
"I heard your team assessment was excellent. Didn't expect your team to have seamless teamwork from just a day of being a team," he praised.
"Yes, our team had an excellent talk before our assessment began. Our personalities match," I replied.
"Personality? Matched? Are your team also emotionless kids like you?" raised his eyebrow.
"You jest uncle,"
"Oh, so you acted in front of them,"
"Will that be a problem uncle,"
"No, not for now. Continue with your act if you like. But a quick suggestion, don't betray them in any way. They are your team, and they trust you. That is the essence of what a team is."
"I understand, uncle."
'What are you thinking, Kazekage?'
'Is this his warning to not overstep his boundaries? Smirk. Fine, I will act like your most loyal dog and trust the team that you assigned.'

(Timeskip. Next day)

"Kazekage-sama!" saluted the Jonin Commander and the ANBU Commander to the Kazekage.
"I heard that your nephew's team passed with flying colors with their perfect teamwork," said the Jonin Commander.
"Yes, their team passed, and Chiharu would be a great Jonin leader for them. She has the skills, and I trust her that she would look out for Akio,"
"He's acting, isn't he?" asked the ANBU Commander.
"Sigh. I thought he would show his true emotions with his team, but he's still hiding behind his mask. I hope his team would be able to crack his mask, I worry for that kid." lamented the Kazekage.
"We should then leave it to them, Kazekage-sama. If they can, then that's wonderful and if they can't,"
"I know, I worry that he may be influenced by something and go rogue."
'Just what are you thinking right now Akio'
