Synopsis

Reincarnated into the world of Re: Monster with a slight bonus, former Ragnar, now Kroak, starts on his path of strength as a lowly reptile.

Chapter 1Prologue

I awoke with a start, realizing I was floating in some kind of liquid. How did I know what a liquid is? How did I know I was floating in it? I don't have an answer to that. I have all this knowledge, and am capable of understanding and processing all this information, but I have no memories to speak of. Oh well, a mystery for another day. Now, I'll be going back to s-yawn...

Today... Uhh, at this time? I was awoken by some tearing sounds. How rude! But something in me stirs, an instinct, and my body moves on it's own, prodding my head towards the direction of the cracking. The tearing intensifies, and after a while, the... shell of the... egg, I was in, starts falling away, and the liquid I was in drains away. For the first(?) time in my life I take a big gulp of air, and let me tell you, it stings like hell. And right after that I was greeted by some weird symbols floating in my vision.

'Hmm, that's useful. But I've got more important things to worry about, like where and what the hell am I?!' Looking down at myself, I notice my whole body is covered in scales, and my hands and feet are some weird hybrid between a reptiles and a humans. Hmm, how do I even know what those are? I get rudely pulled out of my musings by a firm hand grabbing my neck and lifting me face to face with a huge lizardman(?) with scars covering most of his body. He only has some simple leather pants covering his privates. Seems like he is only a grunt in this place.

"Whatcha lookin' at? Haha oh ye, can' speak yet!" And then he threw me in a basket, while chuckling to himself the whole time. 'What a fucking simpleton!' I thought to myself before a few of my other supposed siblings were thrown inside as well. 'They seem as stupid as the grunt who threw us inside. God I hope that isn't the case.' I see the grunt grab the basket and carry us through some winding halls, finally arriving at some room, where he sets us on some cot, he throws a fistful of some ground meat paste on the floor besides us and leaves the room. I slowly crawl towards the meat and grab a bite. The others are just staring around in a daze. Goddamn simpletons, all of them.

The next few days were fairly uneventful, except for the system finishing synchronizing.
