9 Will Solace

"My Second is... Will Solace, will you both join me on my quest?" Shawn asked in front of the camp,

Annabeth stood up and said, "I Annabeth Chase daughter of Athena will join this quest!" the roar of applause was deafening but soon died out,

Will Solace Stood and Sail "I Will Solace Son of Apollo will Join this quest!" The camp roared again and Shawn looked at the two and said,

"Then make your arrangments we leave in two days to the Underworld" The Campers applauded but audibly disheartened at their fellow campers going to the underworld one of the worst places for a hero to travel but the two didn't flinch instead they nodded and sat back down with their cabin.

the night approached and Shawn was planning many possible outcomes, The keys were in the Underworld but were, Doing his research he learned the sections and overall layout of the underworld. His studies were interrupted by a knock at the door, it was Will wearing jeans and a camp half-blood T-Shirt, "Hey I thought we should make some plans together, Annabeth was asleep when I went to see if she would join me, So she probably won't be joining us tonight-"

"Wait! I'm here! I'm here!" The blonde came running and stopped next to will, "I heard we were making plan's?" she said looking giddy.

"Indeed, Come on in both of you," Shawn said with a smile,

Shawn proceeded to reveal what he knew and where he or she may be hiding, "I don't think they had left yet, it would have been too messy and hard to cover up your tracks so I believe they are hiding amongst the dead, the only way out other then the one in California is the occasional cracks that appear, I believe whoever did this is waiting for one of the cracks to appear, I do not know what they plan to use the key's for but they can use them to stop even death and that cannot happen!"

"Are we working with Hades or what?" Will asked Annabeth seemed intrigued by this as well,

"That's the hard part, I can't be sure If he was asking or if it was decided by the other gods he needed a Hero's hand, But I have sent him word that we will be coming... Don't ask, there has been no reply as to whether he has accepted our help or not"

"You said that you believed they were waiting for one of these cracks to appear? What if we make one..." Annabeth asked

"My thoughts exactly! However it is beyond our power to do so, For that, we will need Hades's help and even then the thief may not jump at the first one but play it safe and wait, they may even have possible eye's and ears inside the Underworld so to reveal our plan we must be very careful"

"What if we don't open the crevice, What would our other options be?" Will asked

"Slow methodical sweep of the realm, or since their dead... we use the one thing that can light up even the darkest of places..." Shawn said his voice growing grim,

"Zeus's Master Bolt..." Annabeth said, we knew that he would never willingly lend it to us so if it came to it we would be forced to steal it or bargain, The keys could stop death itself... was the risk worth it? or was there another way,

"It was said that many many years ago the gods had a weapon forged with the capability of illuminating even the deepest and darkest pits of Tartarus It may be one of the few relics capable of such a feat..." Shawn said

"Why not use the Sun Chariot?" Will asked

"a Gods Relic such as the Sun Chariot cannot enter anothers domain easily, which is why the lightning bolt would be an Issue in itself, and seeing as how if we did the sun would go missing..." Annabeth explained

"Unfortunately she is right that would be impossible and unwise I believe, but there is one option left..." Shawn began
