2 Day 5

Yao woke up the next bright and early. He did this so he could help Teach Uji to hunt while still having time for himself later on to hunt other monsters. Kicking Uji awake, Yao started to make him a make shift spear. After he had put the finishing touches on it he and Uji set out on their hunt.

Yao decided too start off teaching by showing how to patiently stalk their prey, and search for an opening. They had been stalking a Horned Rabbit for the last 45 minutes because Uji was getting used to sneaking around and creeping up on the prey instead of usual head first charge that most goblins did. Finally Uji ended up finding and opportunity to strike when the Horned Rabbit came across a female of its species and decided to.....do the deed;).

Jumping from their hiding spot Uji struck out with his and impaled the male Horned Rabbit killing it one go, while greatly injuring the female one. Yao quickly ended the female rabbit in order to gain her skills. 3 glowing cards appeared but only one of them was a new ability the others were ones he had already gained.

Yao felt his hearing increase, he could hear the Uji's heart beat from excitement and pride at his achievement. They quickly gathered their loot and began moving on to the next. This time Yao taught Uji the importance of traps and snares to help catch prey easier. They both began to dig up a hole and grabbed some nearby sticks and branches as they sharpened them and placed them upright in the hole as they covered it up with branches and leaves. They then placed some bloody rabbit meat on the edge of the trap as the lied in wait for new prey.

After waiting a while a unique colored Horned Rabbit appeared unlike the usual brown color this Horned Rabbit was bright yellow and its horn was bigger than usual Horned Rabbit horns. Looking at it Uji got a bit to excited and accidentally released a bit of killing intent s as alerting the Horned Rabbit of their presence.

The Horned Rabbit without any hesitation began running away from the trap. Seeing that their prey was getting away Yao and Uji wasted no time in giving chase. The Horned Rabbit was unusually fast for its species and Yao and Uji were beginning to lose it.

Seeing that he had no other choice Yao let Uji know he was going on ahead not wanting to let the rabbit get away. He then flexed his powerful leg muscles as he activated [ Quick Feet ] and shot off leaving Uji in a cloud of dust. Yao was quickly gaining on the Horned Rabbit Variant and began to position his spear in a throw in position.

The rabbit's ears twitched feeling danger present it made a sharp and impressive turn messing up Yao's aim. A bit irritated by the rabbits evasive abilities Yao was trying to come up with a way to restrict it when a miraculous opportunity presented itself. The Horned Rabbit Variant was so focused on Yao that it failed to notice another Horned Rabbit that was slightly bigger than itself ran horn first right into it impaling it's front leg gravely injuring it.

Yao then even have to think twice before launching his spear at the little bastards head killing it instantly. The other Horned Rabbit that helped Yao by accident was trying to recover from its daze, but before it could eve get the chance a sharp Horn came out from the bush came crashing down on its little head killing in violent splatter of blood.

Yao who was making his way towards his prize, looked cautiously at the owner of that Horn. It was the intelligent looking goblin from the 3rd day who was accompanied by another dumb look goblin he hadn't seen before.

Yao and the intelligent looking goblin just stared at each both giving off a sense of unease from the other. Yao was the first to speak.

" Look I don't want any problems with you guys all I want is my prey. " he said pointing at the Yellow Horned Rabbit with a spear in its head.

The intelligent looking goblin looked at the rabbit and seeing that it wasn't his let out a breath, before looking back at Yao and saying.

" We too don't want any problems we just want to get are prey. "

Still cautiously observing each other both Yao and the other goblins each went towards their individual prey and quickly put distance between each other. The intelligent looking goblin began to ask Yao.

" Hey! What's Your name? "

Yao stared at him silently for a bit before replying.

" Yao! What's yours? "

The intelligent goblin the nodded pleased at getting an answer before saying.

" The names Rou and the guy behind me is called Kichi. "

Yao just nodded his head in acknowledgment before turning away in the opposite direction to leave. Seeing that Yao was going to leave Rou called out to him.

" Wait why don't you come hunt with us you seem strong and useful, you would be a great subor- I mean ally. " He said thinking he cover up his slip up.

But who was Yao he was a reincarnated top ranked Hunter although he was " born " a few days ago he still retained his intelligence and memories. He quickly caught onto what type of character Rou was and instantly wanted to separate himself from them. But still keeping up face Yao instead said.

" Naw that's ok I already have a partner and he doesn't really enjoy new company, so maybe another time. " he then proceeded to walk away not wanting to give Rou anymore opportunities to try and rope him in.

As Rou watched Yao walk away he had a small frown on his face as he said to himself.

" Yea... some other time.... "

Kichi who had been silently standing behind Rou then said.

" He was nice! It's a shame he didn't come with us he seemed really capable. "

Rou just smiled before turning to his partner and saying.

" Well at least we got the legendary horn. Right! "

Kichi just with a goofy grin on his face as he nodded his head enthusiastically.

Rou then thought to himself.

( Why guy is easy to please it'll be easier to manipulate him then I originally believed it to be. But that guy from before why did I feel so threatened by him? Whatever all I have to do is focus on getting stronger an slowly taking over the cave. )

-Back to Yao-

Yao had just crushed the cards in his hands as a stream of notifications assaulted him.

Yao began feeling a increase in leg muscles, hearing, and the majority of his skills. After his body was done adapting to his new traits he felt a lot stronger he was satisfied with his new found strength. He started going over his the new skill and trait. [ Escape] just helped him increase his speed in a critical time of escape and his trait [ Weak Lightning Affinity ] was very much true to its name.

Done testing out his new power Yao made his way back towards the area he left Uji and ended up bumping into each other on the way there. Uji also was able to get more hunting experience on his own and catch 2 more rabbits.

Once they were finished going over there loot they returned to the cave and had a glorious feast as they were watched under the envious gaze of the lesser goblins.
