9 Ch 8 Day 15

- Day 15 -

I woke up and did my physical training with the girls and then some light sparring. I have found that they aren't all good with physical activities.

To be more precise, half of them lack behind the others. Aifu, Kugime, Seisui, Ris and Na.

Based on what I know from the manga, Aifu, Kugime and Seisui aren't physical combatants, so Ris and Na are probably the same. Though Ris does better than the others.

After finishing our workout, I decided to tell the girls my decision.

"Alright girls, I'm going to have you start hunting in your groups without me or Mi accompanying you."

The girls started to nervously shuffle on the spot. Ris was the one to speak on the groups behalf.

"Are you sure we're ready to go out alone?"

I nodded.

"We aren't always going to be there to look after you. You need to get used to doing things on your own."

I saw that they were still nervous, so I decided to give them a pep talk.

"Don't worry so much. I have seen you all work hard over these few days and I believe that you all will be able to go out without us. Just remember, there's no shame in running away, so long as you help and protect each other."

I gave them the most charming smile I could and if their blushes were anything to go by, it was effective.

The girls seemed to take his words well. They were no longer nervously shuffling and gained a look of confidence.

"Now, go on and remember to work together."

I then left to do my own thing.

There was something strange that I've realised. Rather than needing to eat multiple specimens of a species to get their abilities, I seem to get them from the first one I eat. There was also that case with the Healing Potion and Holy Water.

I have no idea why...

If this is how it works, then I want to take advantage of it.

Yesterday, I got some elemental spirit stones from my rugs. Specifically, I got a water and fire stone.

No longer shall I have to hit two stones together to make a fire!... Living in the backwards world may be getting to me...

Anyways, I threw the two stones into my mouth and started munching on them. The fire stone gave me [Pyrokinesis] and [Fire Resistance], while the water stone gave me [Hydrokinesis] and [Aqua Resistance]. (Hydrokinesis should be Aqua Hands, but that sounds stupid, so...)

Two more elements and I will officially be the Avatar! I will bring peace to the world and-

Wait... No... I don't give a fuck about peace or the world, I just want to become OP, then build and fuck my harem.

I keep getting sidetracked.

Getting back on track, I started experimenting with my new abilities. Basically, just throwing fire and water around like a maniac.

I tried turning water into ice like a water bender, but it didn't work unfortunately. I wonder if blood bending is possible...?

Maybe mixing it with [Minor Mental Manipulation] will make things easier.

After playi- I mean practicing for a while... I went to check in on the human girls.

There is something I want to ask Silver.

So, I walked to back of the cave and found Silver sitting with Little Blondes head in her lap as she stroked her hair.

Silver looked at me while smiling.

"This isn't the time you usually come by."

"Well, I had a query. And seeing your beautiful face is a bonus." (I'm sorry...)

She chuckled softly at my flirting.

"What might you want to know?"

"I wanted to know what properties Holy Energy has and what it is used for."

She looked at me incredibly confused.

"'Holy Energy'? You mean Magic? Well, it is usually used for for healing, blessing/enchanting equipment, removing curses and it is like a deadly poison to Demonkin. Priestesses can use it to cast miracles and make barriers. But, I don't understand why you would want to know about it? Monster races can't use Holy Magic."

I gave her a smirk.

"About that..."

I raised my right hand and covered it in the milky white glow of Holy Energy.

"I'm not your typical monster."

Shock. That is the best way to describe the expression on Silvers face. It was kind of funny.

"Don't question it, you'll drive yourself crazy."

She was still dazed and confused, so I just patted her head.

"I'm going to have to cut this short, I have more stuff to do. I'll be back later."

Lifting my hand from her head, I got up and left the cave.

I was going to go find some new prey.

When I left the cave, I found Kanami waiting for me, carrying the bow we got yesterday.

"Hello, Mi. You can relax today if you want."

"No. I want to come with you, Rou. *whispers* I want to make sure you're safe."

I don't know if I was supposed to hear that last part, but I did. So, I pulled her into a hug and kissed her.

Kanami happily returned my kiss.

"Thank you for you concern. Just don't push yourself and remember to take a break."

I feel like I just said something strange... When did I start caring about her so much? After having sex with her, maybe?

Regardless of when I started caring for Kanami, I have to say, I do like it. I used to only ever get with women for sex and have never actually cared for them, so this is a new experience.

Anyways, back to business.

"Well, seen as you're ready to go, then we can leave immediately."

Kanami Nodded in confirmation.

If you're wondering if I am leaving the cave and the human girls without protection, then don't worry. The girls are still going out in two groups, at different times. So, there is still someone staying at the cave.

We left the cave area quite quickly, going deeper into the forest than we have before.

I am hoping to find either, more Kobolds or a Demon Spider. Maybe get to the place with the Dryad chick.

We wandered around for about 2 hours before finding anything new and the thing we found wasn't even what I wanted...

It was a group of three Black Wolves. If I had to guess, they are just a scouting team and the rest of the pack are waiting for them.

At the moment, they haven't seen us and we are down wind, so they haven't got our sent.

I'm not sure whether to engage or not. They outnumber us and it only takes one of them to call the pack, and that would be a pain to deal with.

The benefits are that they would give me a skill to increase my defence and that their pelts would make good armour.

After racking my head with the pros and cons, I decided to go for it.

It might be risky, but I have a lot of advantages. Surprise, intellect and MAGIC!

I started using Mind Magic and manipulated them to feel more relaxed and less alert, then I tried making one of them fall asleep and put it in an Illusion of being at its den. While that one got drowsy, I lured the other two to me and Kanami.

I signalled Kanami to be prepared and did the same.

I Armoured my hand, making it look like it belongs to a Lizardman, but I didn't care about the look.

We waited for the wolves to almost pass us before attacking them at the same time.

Kanami shot an arrow at her target, nailing it right in the neck and then shot it a couple more times in quick succession. I have no idea how she is so good with that thing despite only having it for half a day...

I took care of my target by jumping at it and slamming my fist into the back of its skull, making it flop to the ground. I think I knocked it out...

After knocking it out? I snapped it's neck. It's pelt it supposed to be really hard and I only just sharpened my weapons yesterday, I don't wanna dull them already.

With these two dealt with, I went over the one that went nighty-night and snapped its neck.

With the three wolves now dead and our search somewhat successful, I decided that we should just go back to the cave. I have some stuff I want to do there anyways.

I picked up two of the wolves, while Kanami got the other one.

On the journey back we ran into one of the things I was actually hoping for, the Demon Spider.

I used [Pyrokinesis] and burned it, and it's web, knowing how flammable it is, then quickly used [Hydrokinesis] and put the fire out.

With the Spider dead, I ate it immediately. Partially because I was hungry, but mostly to get its abilities. I also shared with Kanami.

I got [Spider Thread Creation], [Thread Wielding art] and [Expanded Field of Vision]. This further cements my belief that my Absorption power has somehow changed. Not that I'm complaining, it's just that I don't like not understanding what is happening.

I kept the carapace from the spider. Considering how similar it is to metal, I could probably use it for cooking with. I should probably make armour with it, but I have different priorities.

After that little break, we continued our way back, which didn't take too long.

Now back at the cave, I dealt with the wolves. Basically doing the same thing as yesterday and cheating with Magic.

After an hour, I was done and stored the pelts for later. I stored the meat and would cook it later.

I did eat the heart though and got [Steel Skin] from it.

With that out of the way, I went to go see the human girls for a while before it was time to cook the food.

Kanami seemed to be curious about them and followed me. It's not a surprise that she would be curious, considering how I have been taking care of them for the last 7 days.

We got to the back of the cave and found Silver chatting with the other 5 girls. Well, I say chatting, but it was one side and she was just talking to them. The only one who seemed to have any awareness or showed signs of caring, was surprisingly Little Blonde.

I thought the next to show signs of recovery would be one of the other three adults.

Silver noticed my arrival and that of Kanami's, which either surprised or alarmed her as she stared intently at her. Little Blonde also looked at Kanami.

This feels strange...

"Hello again. This is Mi, she is nice, so don't worry about her."

Kanami looked at me, clearly confused. She didn't understand what I said I'm guessing.

"Sorry, Mi. I was telling them your name. You will pick up on the human language soon enough."

"Oh, okay. Why are they staring at me like that?"

"They're probably just wary."

I turned back to Silver.

"I came to see if I can speed up your recoveries and get you all able to get up."

I then started using Holy Energy, which quickly drew the attention of Little Blonde, as her head practically snapped in my direction. I think there was a slight reaction from Big Blonde, but it was barely a flinch.

The reason this didn't happen earlier, is that they were asleep.

I am curious about why Little Blonde is having such a reaction, but I can get answers some other time, for now, I will just do what I intended.

Rather than doing what I do with Mind Magic and going to them one by one, I tried spreading it out and covered all of the girls as an AOE.

The moment I did this, I got a lot of reactions that surprised me. This may be having better effects than I intended. Maybe the Holy element has a unique effect on humans? From what I gather, the Holy element can't be used by anything other than humans, so that may be why.

The girls all seemed to relax while being bathed in the Holy Energy, as though they were in a hot spring.

I continued using Holy Energy for 40 minutes before I started to feel tired and stopped. I didn't want to pass out again.

I got up and stretched a bit. Kanami joined me in stretching, she had been sitting next to me the entire time, so I'm surprised that she didn't fall asleep or something.

This world really sucks with no modern luxuries to entertain oneself with.

After stretching, I figured that I would go work on our sleeping situation.

Having the Kobold pelts to lie on has improved it already, but we're still lying on a cave floor at the end of the day.

So, with my abilities acquired from the Demon Spider, I am going to make what is essentially a hammock.

I looked around the cave for the best place to set up and then got to work.

I learned that I can change how adhesive the Web is, along with its strength. So, I gave it a few layers to make sure that it would hold a lot of weight and would be comfortable.

It ended up being really big, but that is good considering I will have a lot of women.

I threw the Kobold pelts and some sheets on, and it was complete.

With my work finished, I just waited for all the girls to come back, cooked the food, did the usual routine with the human girls and then went to sleep on my new bed.

(Sorry that this took so long, but I did say that this was meant to practice R18 stuff. It has gotten more serious than intended, but that's okay. I am really enjoying writing this.

I will try to write for this more often.)
