6 Day 26 - 30

- Day 26

After tracking down some orcs and eating their souls, I took a look at the pickaxes they left behind and thought it might be a good idea to put my levelled up {Mining Proficiency} skill to use. When I asked Goblin Gramps about it he said that I could go ahead just as long as I didn't bring the cave down on top of them.

After speaking with Gobufu and Gobudo and securing their help, I had a chat with Rou before he left to determine the best place to start mining. We found an out of the way area at the back of the cave that would be perfect so he wished me good luck and set out with his three hunting companions.

After about 5 hours of non-stop mining, at least from me, I discovered a spirit stone in the wall. When I ate it's essence I found out that it was a Dark Spirit Stone because I gained the skills {Gravity Law} and {Dark Resistance}. After a few more hours of mining, I managed to find another three Dark spirit stones and kept two after eating the essence of one.

I decided to give one to Rou as a show of good faith, which he proceeded to eat without hesitation when he learned what it was and as for the other one, using the {Job: Craftsman} and an ample supply of Silk and Golden Silk, I made Gobufu a pair of gloves, though I only plan on giving her the pair when I find another stone to embed in the other glove.

- Day 27

Gobue ranked up today into a Hobgoblin so Rou made her some new equipment. Following that, Rou organised everyone and had them check their equipment. I was wondering where he was going with this until he declares that we would be attacking the Orcs mine. I'm a little apprehensive to this as I won't gain any new skills from the orcs but when I heard about the Orc leader, my tune changed immediately and I joined the frontlines.

It was an absolute massacre. Anyone that got injured was quickly healed by either myself or Rou and the Orc leader was dispatched so quickly that the others had no time to react. With their leader dead, they fell one by one.

One thing I did find out while fighting inside the mine, is that the place is filled with Spirit stones. This'll be great for those gloves, though I suppose I need to make sure I don't break them all. {Improved Digestion}, {Polearm Proficiency}, {Aero Master}, {Storm Resistance}, {Photon Ruler}, {Light Resistance}. Since I had placed a Dark spirit stone in the left glove, I added a light spirit stone in the right one. Of course, since it seems these were the only two Light spirit stones around, I kept it a secret from Rou.

- Day 28

While I was out hunting, I noticed a group of unfamiliar goblins along with three Hobgoblins and five bound human girls. Since this gained my interest and I would like to see if these girls knew about smithing or something in that area, I figured I'd follow them from up in the trees and wait for them to take a break. Unfortunately, the group didn't stop until they reached our settlement, where Rou got a little too excited and Gramps had to diffuse the situation by explaining that this was a group sent out before we were born. In other words, one of these "handsome" gentlemen is likely my father. How lovely. So lovely I feel like puking. Actually, that might be kind of funny considering they're currently right below me.

When Rou notices the group of human girls, he strolled up to the leader of their group and flat out asked if they could be left with him. I almost fell out of the tree laughing but I managed to hold myself back as things started to get serious. When the two couldn't come to an agreement and it looked like a fight was going to break out, a Hobgoblin female with ash grey hair and wearing what looks like a magicians cloak interrupted them.

[Sei] "Alright, Alright! Put down your swords you guys! Don't drag everyone into your personal argument, it's rather troublesome."

Couldn't agree more.

The Hobgoblin known as Sei propositioned the pair for a one on one fight against each other. The winner would control the community. Rou smiles at this and pointed out that if she hadn't said anything, they'd all likely be dead. When she asked why curiously, Rou simply pointed up. When the group looked to where he was pointing, they saw me with a smirk on my face and orange Lightning sparking in my hand, aimed towards the new groups' leader. What can I say, if Rou is who I think he is, then I'd like to be the one who kills him and eats his soul.

The fight for the top spot began about midday and when Rou asked why Sei wasn't competing, she states that she had no interest in it. Ah, a woman after my own heart. When Rou pointed me out again saying that I felt the same way, I simply waved to them once, bored as I waited for the fight to start.

As the fight was about to begin, Sei seems to have chosen to sit next to me while her friend Sato sits on her right. Seeing this, it seems that Fu thought it would be fun to join us and sat on my other side, resting her head on my shoulder as we waited for the fight to commence.

Ah, another one sided fight. Rou started with an {Intimidating Howl} and {Evil Eyes} which caused his adversary to freeze in place. This, followed by his use of his {Silk Creation} skill, strung his foe up like a punching bag and resulted in exactly that. Every other goblin winced or looked away from the scene scared or shocked. Meanwhile, I sat there with a blank look on my face thinking "boooorriiing~" I mean, you'd think our parents generation would have some strong fighters. If he's the leader, man, I feel sorry for these girls that had to deal with this weakling.

Goblin Gramps called off the fight, proclaiming Rou the victor. When Rou offered the top spot to anyone that could beat him, he looked in my direction but I waved him off saying once again that I have no interest in it, though if he ever wanted to spar, I'd be happy to kick his ass.

Later on, while Rou was speaking with the group of human girls, I listened in to see if I could find anything out. In the end I learned that their group was beset upon by the muscle brains' group while they were on their way to the city of Trient. When they started crying I sighed and left, not wanting to be any more intrusive.

- Day 29

I woke up to the cheery sound of the red headed adventurer girl shouting "Good morning!" Which was slightly annoying but also quite surprising.

After Rou spoke to them, learning what they used to do and about the whole idea behind the "Jobs" system that humans had, he left. Apparently we'll be moving into the old Orc mine so he's working with everyone to get things organised. In the meantime, I thought I'd introduce myself to the human girls.

When they first saw me enter and noticed that I wasn't Rou they began to panic but they seemed to calm down a little when I threw my weapon to the side and raised my hands while telling them I didn't come to do anything. The red head giggled at my display which was slightly embarrassing but moving on.

I asked if one of them had the job of a crafter or a smith as I wanted their help wth something. A warm looking girl said that she has the jobs of {Appraiser} and {Smith} while the cool beauty next to her said she was an {Alchemist}. When I told them that what I wanted to do involved Spirit stones, it was decided that smith girl would be best suited. I told her what my plan was with the gloves I had made and how they don't seem to functioning the way I'd like. When I answered their question of "what am I going to do with them?" They became much more helpful when they found out it was for Fu.

Blacksmith girl promised to help me once she has a proper workplace which I promised would be added in the new settlement. I also spoke with Alchemist girl about the possibility of teaching me how create potions. Don't get me wrong, I'm not being magnanimous. I want to learn purely because I want to see if I can learn jobs and skills naturally, rather than just from souls. Thankfully, she agreed.

As we made our way to the Orc mine, Fu asked me what I was doing with the human girls which got me a few glares from the other Goblins, though that stopped after I glared back using {Evil Eyes}.

Once we arrived at the mine, Rou called me forward and explained his plan which resulted in the both of us using {Earth Control} to modify the mines into an acceptable home. Rou dealt with the human girl's areas while I dealt with other rooms like the storage, sleeping, training and central rooms. To be honest, I think I got the harder part.

The rest of the day was spent setting everything up. After all the digging, we found a lot more Spirit stones which are apparently very good for setting up the blacksmith. Yes!

After that was done, Rou spoke to the cook and tailor sisters, red head adventurer as well as Alchemist lady when she wasn't explaining the intricacies of alchemy to me. Blacksmith girl whose name I learned is Emery Furado, is happily teaching me about smithing after I helped her create a forge with fire spirit stones. When I asked her why she told me her name when the others haven't yet, she said it was because she felt that anyone so interested in smithing couldn't possibly be a bad person. This brought a smile to face and she noticed, teasing me for it.

The others seemed to notice but paid it no mind for the time being. In the end, we were able to turn the gloves into proper, thin metal greaves with the spirit stones embedded perfectly. When Emery asked what I was going to call them, I thought for a moment before deciding upon the simple naming method of the {Yin-Yang Gloves}. Y'know, because one is light and the other is dark but they're part of a set. Anyway, we also upgraded Dou's Katana by adding a wind spirit stone in the grip that adds a thin coating of wind that, actually, lets leave that for when Dou experiences it.

Finally, the two of us created a brand new weapon for myself in the form of a single handed broadsword with a wind and flame stone on the guard and a lightning stone in place of the pommel. Testing it out, the moment the stones activate, the blade is coated in an orange light while every swing sends forth an arc of pure orange energy that's able to cut through multiple trees at once. In my excitement, I ended up hugging Emery tightly and thanking her profusely. By the time I realised what I was doing, I now had the attention of Rou and the other human girls.

Embarrassed, I thanked Emery and motioned to leave but was stopped for a moment by he smith when she asked what I would name it. I settled on asking her to name it so she called it Crescent Dusk. Following this, she gave me a quick kiss on the cheek that seemed to come out of nowhere and the other girls laughed as I walked out without saying another word, obviously rattled by the exchange. When I returned to my sleeping quarters, I was found by Fu who immediately found out about the kiss, dragging me to bed and not taking no for an answer. This time, yes, something other than sleeping occurred.

- Day 30

Today we had another ranking contest which I entered only after I was able to get out from under Fu. With the addition of the older generation, the ranks changed a little, though not in the top 3.

1: Rou

2: Kei

3: Kichi

4: Dou

5: Fu

6: Geezer (Other groups former leader)

Fu was very, very energetic today. I suppose I know how to get her moving in the future. And how to tire me out for the rest of the day. That girl has so much stamina in the strangest places, not that I'm complaining.

After we finished the competition, Sei came to talk to me about the Magic I used the other day. When I told her it was because of my blessing, she gained even more of an interest in me, going as far as inspecting my body. When I asked what magic she could use, she was about to start explaining until Rou joined. Basically we heard that she knows three systems of magic. Flame, Liquid and Abyss. I asked her if she would teach us more about these magic systems and she was surprisingly into it, although she had me agree to let her see my Chaos Magic which I agreed to as well.

Afterwards, I went to find Dou who was training with the blade I gave him while Emery and I made improvements to his normal one. When I gave him the blade I told him that he should give it a name, to which he decided upon Nocte Ventus. When I asked him where the name came from, he simply shrugged and said that it just kinda popped into his head. I would have found this odd but I almost forgot that I'm constantly surrounded by strange people. People who happen to be Hobgoblins.

Once again, I didn't have the time to hunt today, however, I was able to let out my frustration with Fu during the night.
