1 Betrayal

In the Washton Manor, the sounds of footsteps hitting the marble floor. The sight of an expensive shoes comes closer to the door as his hands twists the door handle.

"Mr. Washton, the conference is about to begin." A man in exquisite suit enters the room, bringing an expensive champagne 'Armand De Brignac Lily' that is supposed to cost $275 000 per one bottle.

The man he was referring to, was looking out the giant glass walls that has a view of the beautiful oceans of the Atlantic. "Put the champagne in the desk, I will follow you afterwards." he said.

Carl Washton, that's who he is. The richest man on America, the leading powerhouse of the stock market with a net worth of atleast $100 Billion. He was born from the slums and has worked his ways up and some people didn't like how a filth became the ones to lead the clean.

He was already in his 50s, with a robust body and white hair. Combined with a Balbo facial hair, even in his 50s, he was top 10 of the Most Handsome Faces of the Decade.

He turned around as soon as his man left, he took his glass mug as he poured down a little of the expensive champagne. He took one big gulp as he gave out a big sigh, "Exquisite as ever." He mumbled as he put the glass down.

"Now, with the most imporant plan in my life. I may be the first person to become a trillionaire!" He talked to himself as he opened the door. The room was empty, even though it is so big. Then his excitement suddenly turned upside-down.

He realized that even though he was rich, he never had the time to find his partner. He was so submissive to his business that money to grow it was all on his mind. He snapped out of it, "What ever I do with it, it's too late." He muttered as he brushed it off.

Carl got out of his massive manor for a Limousine was awating on his front door with the men earlier, waiting. "Are you ready, sir?" The man asked as he bowed down in respect.

The man was on his 60s, slightly order than Carl but he is the most loyal head butler anyone could ever ask for. He was with him ever since Carl aquired his first million in his 20s. He was Edwin Charles.

"I'm ready Edwin. Now, let's go." Carl said politely as Edwin opened the limousine door. Carl got into it as Edwin followed just after he closed thed door.

The engine started as the Limousine went on its merry way. The Limousine was the most unique car Carl has owned, not because it's expensive but because it was custom made, made my Carl itself. It was mainly black, but golden pattern made my real gold was made as a design. Coupled with a hood ornament made from gold and diamonds.

Carl was a perfectionist when it comes to design or anything that can make his sorroundings fashionable. Even his manor was remodeled to be a food for the eyes.

"Sir, are you sure this is a great idea?" Edwin asked Carl, expressing a concern.

"Why do you think, Edwin? BookFace is willing to sell the entire company, including InstaJam and Wazzup. If this goes to plan, then I'll be the first to become the a world trillionaire!" Carl reached out for a liquor on the side of the limousine and handed it into Edwin.

"Oh no, sir. I'm too frail to drink alcohol now." Edwin rejected Carl's liquor as he still seems concerned... that something bad will happen.

...

They arrived at Florida, Home of Washton Corp.

Carl got out of the car as the gigantic empire that he created stood before him. It was like a King has returned from expedition and arrived at his castle with knights lining up for his arrival. That was the feeling. The feeling that Carl always loved. Superiority.

He arrived at the conference room, waiting for him was a group of people. Most of them was his employee. CEOs of sub-companies that Carl owns.

This was one of the reason of Carl's success. It was that his cashflow was not on only one basket. It was of numerous streams of river, connected to a single, gigantic oceans of cash. All the CEOs of the sub-companies was people of great leadership and cunning minds.

This was Carl's Pride, the company. His Kingdom. But beknown to everyone, lays the most trusted minister of the king. The right-hand man, the venom that will spread upon the entire body. The corruption of the system has other things in mind.

...

..

.

There sits in the middle, Carl as at the other side of the table, he was confronted by the CEO of BookFace — Marius Iceberg.

"So Mr. Iceberg, is the deal on?" Carl proceeded as he handed out the documents, asking Marius to sign what seems to be a contract.

Marius, just sits, as his chin resting on both of his hands, "Oh yes, the deal is on." He says chillingly as he raised his hands and clapped.

Various men-in-black with guns sorround the conference room. Everyone was silent, including Carl.

"What is the meaning of this?" Carl shouted as the gunmen cocked their guns.

Then, a man with purple hair enters the room, "The deal is still on, Marius." He says as he reached out a different contract and Marius reached out his hand to grab it, "Then, deal." Marius said.

Carl can't handle his anger anymore as he slams the table, "WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS?!" The gunmen started to ready their guns as the purple-haired dude stopped them.

"Kent, why?" Carl was shocked, for his right-hand man to do something so monstrous, "You've been with me, even before we've built this kingdom together!"

"Oh you don't know?" The purple-haired dude got closer to Carl.

"You know, I really hate your guts. You're just filth and you dare to touch the clean? Don't forget where you came from, fool! You perfectionist pig, you think I wouldn't stab you in the back one day?"

"K-Kent..."

"I've let you built this kingdom for me. For such a fool like you to be the CEO of the most powerful kingdom, I guess it was my time to stop my games."

"Kent! Don't you dare do this! Laura, Jay, Harold! Stop him!" Carl was trying to command his employee (The sub-CEOs) as they just stood their, motionless. Then they started laughing, one by one.

"Fool! We've planned this long ago. In exchange for Kent replacing you as the CEO of Washton Corp. All the sub-companies will turn independent and all the income will be for us!" Laura was showing a distorted face as the evilness came out from her face.

"Even BookFace is up with this, he will take 50% of the Washton Corp.'s asset in exchange for covering your death!" So was Jay, his evilness came out from his face as he screeched in delight.

All the CEOs of the Washton Corp smiled and laughed as money filled their greed to the max. The evilness of humans has peaked the limit in one room. It was like the devil was there as Carl was facing hell.

Finally, Kent was face-to-face with Carl, "Any last words?"

"You were planning to horde all the money in the beginning?"

Kent walked away as Marius was finished signing the contracts, "Ohh, it's done. Well, goodbye Carl." All of them stood one by one as they all left the room until Marius was the last.

He sighed, "I feel bad for you pal but.. money is money." Marius said as he walked away.

Carl broke, all of his entire being was destroyed when he felt a touch by his hand, "Sir, I will follow you." There stood hope in all of darkness, a old and frail hand touched Carl's. Edwin stood by his side and Carl didn't even notice.

His guardian angel was besides him, he smiled, "Thank you, Edwin. May we be friends in the next life."

Marius opened his arms, "Fire." He said as gunshots filled the room and and everything went black.
