14 Self reflection

After that day when shizu passed away, rimuru has shut in himself for a while.

For the first time after reincarnating rimuru became aware that not everything will go according to his will.

From the start, rimuru has subconsciously took everything for granted.he thought he was unique,he was the world's protagonist and everything will go according to his convenience.he thought just because he knew the future everything will be fine.so he never thought what kind of impact his arrival and actions had on the timeline and he never considered any change in his known event from the original story when he make plans.

This time he thought that he will save shizu and convinced her to live with him but reality gave him a tight slap.

"I still can't forget those eyes.they held pain, struggle, grief and indignation as they shed tears.the feeling those eye's gave me was someone who was forcing themselves to live."

These few days rimuru has been contemplating his actions after arriving at this world.only then did he realized his naivety, foolishness and shortcomings.

"I own shizu for letting me realize my mistakes this early.fortunately it's been a short time since I've reincarnated and my actions didn't cause much influence on the timeline."sighed rimuru with a heavy heart.

"Still I have to pay special attention toward king gazel.how could I forget in the start king gazel was vigilant toward rimuru in original story.I've not only brazenly recruited 3 dozen talents from him but also was building the city with much fanfare.it won't be a surprise if my actions alarm king gazel and they took a vigilant stance against us."thought rimuru as he was contemplating all possible scenario and it's countermeasures.

Suddenly a pair of hands enveloped rimuru from behind as a sweet voice sounded in his sense.

"I don't know what your relation was with the women named shizu that made you so depressed but you can't continue like this rimuru.there are a lot of people worried about you,there are a lot of people who are willing to support you through your difficult time and there are also a lot of people who's dependent on you.so cheer up already.if you have difficulties just know that you have your Lena by your side.i might not have solutions for all your trouble but I will support you through thick or thin."said lena as she leaned forward pouted her lips for a kiss.

Rimuru looked at this scene as he began to feel warm in his heart.he too leaned forward and kissed Lena passionately in hope for making up for worrying her.

"Sigh... I need to get myself together.im not alone in this world.i have Lena as my women.i have friends like ranga and Osiris (at least consider)and I also have my subjects who's responsibility is in my hands."thought rimuru internally before he went toward the window in the room.

Rimuru was currently in a Japanese and western mix style building that was build not long ago as a headquarter.

As rimuru arrived near the the window he could see goblins and other monsters working hard.when they noticed him everyone stopped what they were doing and asked his wellbeing and everyone offered different consolation words.

Hearing everyone's words and looking at their concerned face rimuru couldn't help but feel warm inside as he said to everyone "I'm okay now~"

Currently rimuru was handling all the pending works that needed him.

"Master, in the time you were not here we dominated few packs of direwolves and brought back a few monsters of different species that we thought will be useful."said ranga as he recounted all the different monsters the wolves brought back.

"Good.tell them to be prepared, I will name them in free time."replied rimuru as he began to plan for the evolution of the new monsters.

"Master, I have perfected the techniques you taught me. I just lack the resources for my undead legion."informed Osiris as waited for rimuru's orders.

"Focus on training for now.we will have all the biological materials you'll need in due time."said rimuru as he was not worried about lack of corpses.

"Lord rimuru, kaijin was looking for you earlier and you need to supervise a few constructions."said rigurd as he took the job of being rimuru's secretary temporarily.

"Remind me to find a pretty secretary later regurd."

"Ehhh!! Why!! Lord rimuruuu~"

Like that everyone return to being lively again and started to work enthusiastically.

"Time for the appearance of the orc disaster is near.i have to reconsider everything and prepare with the best of my ability."

Thought rimuru as with a serious expression.

"The response from the ability of the fate affinity [Divination] shows that a disaster is near but it can also be a opportunity for me.i have to prepare for the worst and grab every opportunity with my own hands to grow even stronger so that I can protect everyone dear to me."
