"Xavier, all G-19's students have entered the portal, tell the time mages to connect the wavelength."
"Yessir, but President Hageshi, are you sure we should be sending one galaxy of students at a time?"
"Of course, after evacuating the citizens from G-19 and merging all the planets in the galaxy with many earth mages, I'm sure all of the students should be able to fit on that galaxy sized world."
"But President…"
"What is it?"
"If the planet is the size of a galaxy and the kids are all separated, how will they find one little suitcase?"
"Wow, this style of the selection is so rare even you do not know the rules Xavier? That is the point, we don't call the red portal event the hardest difficulty of the selection for no reason, plus once she fails she'll come crawling back to her dear old dad."

Saikyo yells as he falls from the sky.
Just before hitting the roof of a tall building he stops.

"What the hell is up with this watch? They did say it would help so I should probably listen to it, but could it stop vibrating so much it's tingling my arm." He said as he shook off the pain and exhaustion of going through a portal.

"Aiden." Saikyo says after thinking for a bit.
[Your soul companion encompasses the soul of a female, would you still like to name her Aiden?]
"Ok, fine, Sophie."

"Can't this thing actually talk, how am I meant to be vigilant if I have to look at my wrist for the information I need."

It adapts based on me? This thing is basically a child, you know what nevermind, If this is the weakest type of soul reader then what are the functions it does have

"What? You weren't her already!?" Saikyo asked.
With the falling and the watch distracting him he did not even notice that he had landed on a building and not the ground.
Holy sh*t, how the hell am I supposed to hide from something on the roof of this big mountain of a building. He screamed to himself in his head.
The sky was dark, he was unable to see very far, not to mention the bottom of the building, he could only see about ten stories.
While looking over the edge something jumps out from the side of the building. Landing on the opposite side of Saikyo, it starts circling him.
"Hey, Sophie, are you awake yet." Saikyo said in a hurried manner.
[Yes]
"Good, do you know what this thing is or how I can beat it."
[No, this species isn't registered, but I will scan this creature's appearance, name it, and put it into humanity's bestiary database. Exploiting the weakness of living creatures are only functions of persona's and ego's]
"Crap, this doesn't doesn't help me at all!"
[Sorry, that I am not of use in terms of combat at the moment User, those are only function of official, persona, and ego support systems]

"This thing covered in darkshine metal? That's one of the strongest metals in the universe. I can't beat that, Sophie, how do I get out of here?"
[The creature is toying with you, if it wanted you dead, you would be dead already, that being said, the best course of action is to jump off of the roof.]
"Off the roof?" Saikyo says as he takes one step back.
[Yes off the roof, now hurry!]
As if time had come to a still, an electricity jolted through Saikyo's body as he started to think.
The bear, the door at the back of the building. I won't make it if I try to run past it but if I jump off of the roof it would probably jump down after me. What would come next for both choices, think Saikyo. Ok, if I jump down, there will be more area to attack leaving me wide open, let's go with the other choice then. If I run at it, it would either attack with its paw, tail, or mouth
Saikyo dashes towards the beast as it roars and shoots some of its spikes out of its body.
Unexpected, I didn't know it could shoot those things
[What are you doing!]
"Executing a plan!" Saikyo grunts as he dodges the spikes.
Approaching the beast, the creature swings its mace-like tail at Saikyo.
Now that was the wager I was betting on
Saikyo slides under the beast's attack as he goes for the door, trying to open the door; it won't budge in the slightest.
Saikyo looks down at Sophie in curiosity before running toward the edge of the roof, the beast still chasing him.
She knew the door wouldn't budge and determined the other best outcome in an instant, these support systems, they're something else
Seeing Saikyo jump off of the roof the Dragon bear immediately charges towards the edge jumping off after him.
"This damned beast just doesn't relent." he said as he looked back up at the beast falling toward him.
Saikyo's eyes dilate as he sees the bear drive its claws into the building and starts running down to him.
Just shy from catching up completely, the Dragon bear slices Saikyo's back with its claws as it closes in.
"What now Sophie?" Saikyo yells as he tries to ignore the roaring pain stemming from his back.
[When it gets close, kick it]
"Kick it?"
[Yes, this route has the highest probability of you survival, the ground is fast approaching]

"Sixty eight percent!?" Saikyo yells as he tries to kick the creature but it dodges and hits Saikyo with the end of its tail. The mace's intimidating ball shape cracks his ribs as the spikes pierce his lungs. After taking the devastatingly powerful blow, Saikyo couldn't help but succumb to the pain and let out a blood curdling scream.

As Saikyo bounces off the wall he musters up the last of his strength to punch the Dragon bear in the face, doing this pushes them out of range of each other, the dragon bear shoots its final remaining spikes like bullets impaling Saikyo all over. It had shed all of its scales in a bid to kill him. Before they hit the ground. Saikyo stops, but the creature falls to the ground.

[Oh no, I didn't account for the beast being able to scale the wall so effortlessly.]
The dragon bear was still alive but it turns out the building was at around 68 stories, so the damage the creature took was devastating. It could not move or attack anymore.
Saikyo slowly stands, his clothes ripped to shreds, the creature only able to see the side of his bloody body, Saikyo looks up to the sky. The dragon bear roars at him, the very instant this occurs Saikyo's gaze turns toward the creature with astonishing speed.
Looking over his shoulder under the dark sky he looked sinister, his eyes were rolled back and you could only see a white abyss where his irises and pupils were supposed to be, his mouth was wide open as if his body was searching for its last breath. A tattoo had appeared on the right side of his neck, it was a raven.
As Saikyo started walking towards the dragon bear, his tattoo started oozing a shadowy aura. As Saikyo walked it left a trail in the air. The creature started trembling so terribly that it'd make you think that even if it could attack it'd probably still tremble in fear of what was coming. Saikyo stood before the creature and it tried to run away but couldn't, it sensed death and couldn't escape so instead it tried to bite Saikyo's leg.
The creature moved so slowly that it was painful, approaching Saikyo's leg it started to chomp, it looked at Saikyo's eyes and immediately stopped in its tracks. Upon its stop Saikyo simply lifted his foot and brought it down on the creature's head, he stomped and stomped each one creating cracks and rumbles on the ground. Even though the creature had shed the scaled darkshine armor, it was still quite durable by itself, Saikyo was doing next to nothing to the creature.
Out of the daze the creature bit down on Saikyo's left leg instantly crushing it. Falling down on one knee while the other was being bitten and still in the dragon bear's mouth, Saikyo used his right arm like a sledge hammer and brought it down upon the creature's eye. The creature finally screeched as Saikyo did it over and over and over again, creating small quakes and cracks along the ground and buildings as he did, the creature perished after a few more strikes.

Saikyo comes to and unlodged his leg from the dragon bear's mouth.
"Did I kill this thing?" He says weakly. Saikyo coughs blood as he falls on his back.
"I hope Seicho and Kori are ok, hopefully they're doing better than me." He says with his eyes closing slowly.

As the words appear on Sophie a blue orb floats out of the dragon bear's dead body. It tries to enter Saikyo's body but it is like his body is rejecting it.

After Sophie had used around fifty of the newly acquired essence, Saikyo started waking up.
"Mother, I became strong, haven't I?" His head is all out of order; these were the first words he uttered upon waking.
"I've protected Seicho while you were away, have I done well…"
[User I have no other way of addressing you other than user, would you like a different way of being addressed, if so choose one.]
"Father." Saikyo says but did not know that Sophie was asking this question and fades back into sleep.
[Father has discovered a new species, a reward will be received when you have finished the selection event, pass or fail.]

Seicho wakes up and appears to be underground.
"Are you finally awake?" Kori said.
"Ms. Hageshi?" He says as he wakes up slowly.
"Where are we?" He says.
"We are…. Inside a Dragon Bear nest."
