65 Extra Chapter 4: Making Up for the Lost Time

[This happened after Fina talked with Fleur at the mine. Ciel's POV]

I was talking with Leila about their village and how it came to be, trying to gather information as much as possible, when Fina came and called out to me with her fluttering footsteps.

Ciel: "What's up? Your boobs got smaller again?"

I placed my hand over her head followed by a perky smile from her.

Fina: "Nuh-uh. I just wante- Wait, they didn't!! What are you saying out of nowhere?! Is that the new greeting nowadays??? And what do you mean by 'again'!?!? They're not getting smaller, okay???"

Ohh. I thought she wouldn't notice that because of the pat. That's a nice retort. Ahaha.

Puffing her cheeks, she flailed her hands in the air.

Ciel: "My bad, my bad. You're just so cute, I couldn't help but tease you."

Fina: "Muu… 'Couldn't help', you say… Don't you dare think that you just calling me cute would solve anything, okay? Cause, it won't."

Leila: "Then remove that creepy grin first. You don't sound convincing, little lady."

Fina: "Myu?! I-I'm not grinning!!"

She's really blushing atop her grin. She held her cheeks trying to pinch herself and remove her uncontrollable smile, to no avail. She really just honest to fault.

Damn, so cute.

She's really easy to read, albeit a different way than Fleur. Fleur usually shows it as she speaks, but is silent most of the time. But when she's otherwise, her emotion shows clearly on her action and expressions.

But in Fina's case, well… Just looking at her, you can already guess what she's feeling or even sometimes, thinking. You don't even have to try.

Fina: "Ah. Fleeuur!! I'll borrow Ciel for a moment, 'kay??"

Noticing Fleur entering the mine with Purin, Fina then called out to them.

I think Fleur wanted to explore the mines and observe the miners as they do their jobs. It seems like it piqued her interest and had Purin join her tour.

Fleur: "Yes. Please enjoy your time."

Fleur smiled and replied, as if it's the most natural thing to do. I can even feel a happy emotion from the Link. I thought that she's getting jealous a while ago, but… Was that just my ego speaking, I wonder?

Fina: "Alright! Now we have Fleur's permission, let's go, Idiohan!"

Ciel: "Got it, got it. You don't have to pull me."

Fina: "Ehehe… Alone with Ciel…~"

Snuggling closer to me, she hugged my arm tighter and rubbed her cheeks against it. She really looks like she's having fun.

Ciel: "Are you sure we can leave them like that?"

We're already meters away from the mine, walking along this dark corridor with only my wisps as my light. But all we've done is walk aimlessly and spend the time talking about meaningless things.

Kind of like… Making up for out lost time.

Fina: "Mhm. There's Leila, just in case. And you've already cleared the area, right?"

Ciel: "Well, yeah."

… followed by her snuggling even closer.

Fina: "Then again… These are really weird… How are you doing this?"

She then pointed and poked the bluish wisp.

Ciel: "I told you before, but I was a monster when I came this world. It seems like even after evolving, I can still use a part of my old form and make it into a wisp, just like this."

I then produced another wisp from my palm.

Fina: "So pretty…"

Ciel: "Mhm."

I make it circle around her as it slowly faded into the darkness. But what caught my attention as its fading is Fina's solemn face.

Fina: "Wasn't it hard for you? … Starting as a monster, I mean…

I feel like I'm so guilty for having a blessed start in this reincarnated life. My parents are loving, and they cared for me even though they knew that I'm a reincarnator. I have my village, Leila, everyone… It's like it all started perfect. Yet, you…"

Her fingers that are entwined with mine gripped tighter, as if she's telling me she doesn't want to let go.

Ciel: "Well… There are hardships along the way. Like… Almost dying. Ahaha."

Recalling the time when I encountered the Abyss Hydra and when I first met Purin, I shivered at the thought. Of course, there's also the Evil God's remnant.

But all of a sudden, Fina pushed me against the wall for a hug. Her hands that are wrapped around my back caresses me, as she buries her face on my chest.

Fina: "It was hard for you, I see…"

I pull her close as I wrap my arms around her back in return.

Ciel: "It wasn't all that bad, you know? There's Fleur and Purin. I even got strong because of the harsh environment. I even got to evolve to have a form that's close to a human. And…"

Pausing what I want to say, I pulled away and placed my hands on her cheeks. Combing her hair to the back of her ear, I look straightly at her eyes.

Ciel: "I got to meet you again, after all."

Fina: "… Muu… S-Stop being so cool, Idiohan… You're making me fall for you all over again…"

Ciel: "Feel free. Ahaha. I'd love you even more."

I kiss her on the forehead.

Blushing, she buried her face once more on my chest after pulling away. She may be embarrassed being said and done straightly like that. She's really cute like this.

Fina: "You see… You smell so different than you did back in our world, yet… It still smells familiar. Like, I just know it's you… It's refreshing and calming…"

Snuggling even closer, she inhaled.

Fina: "… I love it."

Ciel: "Then smell all you want."

Fina: "… Ehehe… You really spoil me. I'll get rotten, you know?"

Fina removed her right hand from my back and grabbed my left hand, entwining our fingers in the process. I can feel the heat coming from her palm, along with her sweat. But it didn't feel unpleasant. It just made my heart race and I feel happy even more.

Fina: "Ciel… Yohan… Whatever name you have… I love you."

Ciel: "You just know how to make a man happy, don't you? … I love you too."

Fina: "Ehehe… I love you more…~"

I hug her tighter, placing my chin over her head. But that's when I notice something.

Ciel: "Hmm… Hold on. With your height, I can't help but feel like I'm doing something bad."

Fina: "I-I'm not that small!!"

I mean, I even have to crouch down to kiss her, after all. I know her age is already beyond the number of days in the calendar, being 34 and all, but…

With her appearance of a 15 year old…? I even think she looks even younger than her age here… Hmmm… I can't feel too secure about this.

I can hear the sound of siren in my mind…

Fina: "I at least look like a high schooler, right??"

Ciel: "On the smaller side, I guess?"

Fina: "Muu!! … I'll grow soon, I tell you! Just wait and see! It's my birthday soon!"

Will she, I wonder? I mean that would greatly help. But with her genes… Looking at Leila…

Mhm. I'll just wish my girlfriend good luck. Yup.

Ciel: "Whatever. I love you still."

Fina: "Right?? Ehehe~ I love you too, Cieeel~"

If she's a cat right now, she'd be purring none stop already and snuggling her face against mine.

Leila: "Normies, go explode."

Fina: "Hyowah?!?! L-Leila!!"

Suddenly, there's Leila standing just along the corridor. It almost seemed like a child from a horror film. Even I was surprised for a bit.

Wait, the word 'normie' is used here??

Leila: "If you want to flirt, then do it later. We have to pack up. Mining's done."

Ciel: "Got it."

Fina: "M-Myuu…"

We got scolded… Ahaha…

Well, we still have a lot of time. A lifetime of time.
