16 Chapter 13: The Demon Lord's Dungeon Part 3; Slimes should be Cute and Adorable Creatures!

*rumble*

The huge slime in front of me, whose name sounds like 'grand slam', erected a wall made of soil to seal the only escape behind me. It continuously did so, until the walls, floor, and ceiling is covered in hard soil.

This must be the Earth Prison from its Grudan Magic skills.

I tried to turn on my Intangible and pass through the walls but failed. It seems like my Intangible is useless against Crysaztel using skills, after all. Just like the time with the slimes, even though I had my Reflect deactivated and Intangible activated, I still received the damage normally.

That's why, my only means of escape is no longer available. Not when I have my Reflect skill. I can just use it to reflect the earthen wall and destroy it. But…

… I've been had.

I became too complacent to immediately respond. It had already marked me. I doubt it would let me escape this place without a proper fight. I don' know why I know that, I just do. This tingling feeling, as if every hair on my skin is standing up straight tall.

I tried to step back, but I felt a numbing sensation in my core and my HG decreased a whole lot.

It's my instinct as a monster telling me. Escape, or I'll die.

It's as if a glare is piercing through my soul.

I can't escape.

Not only it knows what it's doing, it's clearly a thinking monster. That only proves its intellect and wisdom. If it was the usual slime, it would only attack relentlessly without thinking of the possible outcomes.

But right now, it's observing me, trying to figure out what I'm about to do next.

This guy knows its stuff.

It knows what kind of monster I am, and used its initiative to prevent any form of escape.

*zap*

Whoa there.

Without waiting for another move from me, it used the same electric net that the slimes were using earlier. But this time, it's clearly stronger. I can just use the Reflect skill here to repel it, but… I don't want to move needlessly and provoke it yet.

I still don't know what it's thinking. It's not giving me time to act or think. I want to analyze its skills and titles to come up with a way to counter it but… I feel like it's game over if I try to take my eyes away from it.

Hmhmhm… This is a pinch. I'm in a real pinch here, damn it.

My reliable escape is longer usable. I don't know why, but Teleport is also not working. I've been trying to use it but to no avail. There must be something to this Earth Prison that prevents me from using it. Or maybe, it's just some another skill of this Grand Slime.

Kuh… I want to analyze its skills real quick.

No, no, no, me. It's not the time to be thinking that. I have to rack my brain and think of a plan to escape from here. I can't fight this one hell of a monster. The current me can't. If I don't do something, I'll be killed.

… Mufufu.

Now that I think about it, why am I trying so hard to live, I wonder? It's not like dying means anything to this boring me. I already died once. Or rather, I can just resurrect anyways. But why am I so fixated on surviving?

Well… I think I know the answer.

It's because this is fun.

It's hella fun.

This is the most exciting thing I've ever felt in my whole life. If I don't do anything, I'll die. If I don't move, nothing will get me anywhere. If I don't try, I won't succeed. If I keep being the same, nothing will change.

This is the world that I came to. It keeps forcing me to go out and have a blast.

It's forcing me to have fun!

Mufufufu…! Alright! Bring it on, Grand Slam! I mean, Grand Slime! I'll reap your soul like you've never been before!!

… Well, of course it has never been.

??: "… Tell thine name, purin."

Eh?

… Did…

Did it just spoke…? And what's with that cute voice?

Grand Slime: "Speak, purin."

The Grand Slime just spoke. And it got a cute, high-pitched voice… It clearly doesn't fit its visuals aside from its size. Its eyes are like golden beads with the size of a plate. When it spoke, I didn't see any movement of what would seem like a mouth or something. How is it speaking?

And another thing… How can I understand its words? It's definitely not a language from my former world.

Grand Slime: "Thou cannot fool Purin's eyes. Tell thine name, purin."

O-Ohh… It wants my name. Also, 'purin' it says… That's really cute. But there's one problem you see.

I can't speak. It's needless to say, but I'm a ghost without a mouth. I don't have a physical body. This liquid form that looks like a slime doesn't help, too. It just changed my body's property. I'm still the same Apparition Type monster.

??: "Thou cannot speak, purin. Purin sees."

It uses its name instead of a personal pronoun! Ohh… Reminds me of Chloe. She sometimes uses her name instead of a personal pronoun whenever she's troubled.

*nod*

I used my body to gesture a nod. But makes me wonder if this world understand the same gestures that my previous world have. It's plausible that they don't understand a nod because either the one in front of me is a monster, or this world has a different culture than the one I previously had. If the latter is so, then there's a possibility that they won't understand a nod.

But I did so, anyways. And it looks like it got through it.

Hmmm…?

I don't know how or why, but this monster has an intellect. It can also speak. But just as I previously thought, its Intelligence Level is 99%, so it's still too soon to judge its thinking. It's still lacking that 1% percent. Meaning, there's no person inside. Though, I still don't have much basis as I haven't met a human here.

I just hope it that not only it can think but also understand.

Because if not.

I'll die.

And so, I'll try to reason my way out of here.

Grand Slime: "Fumu. I see. It does not matter, purin. Purin only have to eliminate thee, purin. Purin cannot let thee pass here, purin."

There's my reasoning out out of the window!!

Grand Slime: "I, Purin, will guard that person with all my life! Icicle Arrow, purin!"

Followed by its war cry, a magic circle appeared in front of it and a huge ice, carved into a sharp spear appeared. It grows larger and larger by the second and without waiting for a moment for me to spare, it launches towards me with great velocity.

But it doesn't matter.

I have my Reflect.

*shatter*

Grand Slime: "… Fumu. Thou art not ordinary, it seems, purin. To render Purin's magic attack useless… Not only that. But to reflect it back to Purin."

Hm. It did a damage to it, but… It's far from calling it a damage. I guess that's thanks to its max leveled Omni-Magic Damage Resistance. Even if I reflect the attack, it would only result to me attacking it with the same attack. It's not the damage that I reflect, but the attack itself.

Phew. Alright. Calm down. I can do this.

For now, I gained a leniency to think as a result of gaining the upper hand with the first strike. Well, technically not. But this will do. For now, I know it can't do anything that may really make things get dicey.

Grand Slime: "It seems like Purin cannot attack thee with normal means. Earth Prison. Lightning Cage."

A wall of hardened earth sprung forth from the ground and swallowed me from all direction, making a dome. Then I felt the same numbing sensation that I got used to feeling when I was dealing with the slimes earlier.

It's okay. These magic skills are still within the capabilities of my Reflect skill.

Phew.

However it didn't stop from that. The dome gets smaller and smaller along with the Lightning Cage. So now I'm being squashed by these two imprisoning magic skills.

Well, because of my reflect skill, it doesn't do much, though. As it touches me, it only gets reflected.

It has become a series reflecting the dome of soil and the lightning net, then getting squashed once again, only to be reflected once again.

This won't go anywhere. I'll just push my way through. Since it's already attacking, I should show how I can fare against it for now.

And so I did. I turned off Liquid Body and activated Intangible. I know it will still be able see me, but it's fine. I'm only being careful from its possible physical attacks. Also just to make sure, I erected a Barrier using my Psychokinesis.

I got out of the net and dome pretty easily just by passing through them. They were just reflected when I touched them. I wonder I why I didn't thought of this when I first encountered my first slime.

Purin: "… Static Binding. Magma Eruption. Earth Prison. Black Hole."

Whoa, there…

Perhaps getting agitated, it's now assaulting me with a barrage of magical attacks, which are only being rendered useless by my Reflect skill.

The Static Binding, a Zoia Magic that looks like the Lightning cage but it binds the target directly onto the ground, was disabled the moment it touched me. I guess, skills that doesn't attack are just getting disabled instead of being reflected back.

Magma Eruption made a small volcano on the ground where I was floating, but the lava and molten rocks were only reflected back to the ground like they were pulled by something below.

The Black Hole seemed to pull me into a point where a black orb is floating. Well, it was also disabled when I was pulled to it and my body touched it.

… What the heck.

This Reflect skill is too overpowered against Magic Skills… I also noticed this when the hoard of slimes were attacking me unceasingly. But to think that even Magic Skills of this level are futile against me…

Hmm…I guess there won't be a need to raise my Magic Defense anymore, right?

Alright. My turn. If it can see me, then it has a means to do so. I'll maximize Glow in an instant to create a flash bomb.

Purin: "Hn?!"

Okay, it worked. I'll use this instant to activate Amplify, doubling my Physical Attack. I know it has Omni-Physical Damage Resistance, but it's better than nothing.

Strike it using my body!

*smack!*

I hit it!

Purin: "… Useless."

Tch. It didn't penetrate…

… I'm not done yet!

Alright. Let's be creative from here on out.

Hm. Let's try this out.

Since I was able to manipulate the air around the slime earlier, which is also to my surprise. I mean, I just thought of it that instant. It's not like I knew what I was doing.

I used Psychokinesis to gather enough air as much as possible around me and envelop my body with it. With that, I used that same air to propel myself towards the body of the huge slime. Also, creating a spiraling effect in front of me in the process.

Here comes a Mr. Ghost Drill! Mufufu~

Go!

*swoosh!*

There!

I successfully penetrated it!

I'm now inside its body, but I don't have a moment to spare…! And so, Barrier…!

Then… EXPAND INSTANTLY!!

The air that I gathered immediately expanded with great speed more than I could before and…

*splat!!"

Everything around me exploded, which is caused by the rapid expansion of compressed air, scattering the remains of the slime.

… That… Did it…?

No movements from within visuals… No more, captain!

Mufu… Mufufufu… It wasn't easy and I was nervous all throughout the time but… I guess it was worth it. Mufufu… The slime's body is now scattered all over the room.

For my attack earlier, I used the remaining air from my propulsion to create a drill and used it to penetrate its body. Then when I got inside, I used the air stored inside my body, which I gathered by partly activating Intangible.

Usually, when I deactivate Intangible, it pushes out the air that passes through my body. But this time, miraculously I guess, I got to activate Intangible just to make portion of my body intangible. And so, I made my outer layer tangible to store air inside.

To make it simple, I became a balloon. Mufufu.

I then manipulated the air and expand it in an incredible rate using Trigger to create an explosion from the inside.

I got the idea from the 'balloon' like slimes. I remembered one video. There was a boy who was inflating a balloon. But it got too much air. When it bursted, pieces of the balloon hit his face.

I just thought I could do the same thing using my Liquid Body, but I guess it wasn't necessary.

And there you have Mr. Ghosts attack explanation!

<Psychokinesis – Gale Boost skill acquired>

<Psychokinesis – Gale Spear skill acquired>

<Psychokinesis – Gale Burst skill acquired>

<Storage skill acquired>

Ohhh! Skills! To think I acquired skills this many from that attack alone. Mufufu. I'm really awesome. I didn't quite see all of the notifications due to the rush of things, but…

I'll check them later.

First, I have to get out of here. There's a possibility that it's not alone.

Let's g-

Purin: "… Enough of this. Curse: Paralyze."

Wha…?!
