5 The Response

In a classic gusty day, the unclosed windows of the chamber were vigorously blowed by the strong winds.

Inside the room, there are two individuals lying on different couches. One's in a crossed-legs sitting position. Although, the other guy is in a setting position where his right leg is above the sofa.

"Hmm, may I ask something first?"

Resting peacefully, Shin gradually rose his left hand while placed on the sofa's arm rest. To be more specific, he rose his left index.

"One; Do I need to pay to anything?"

A sudden hefty atmosphere surrounded the spot. His glare towards Rene was serious. It looked like he want to say that it must be free.

"HOHO..Rest assured, Shin. It is always free as long as you contribute by any means."

Rene replied back with a lighthearted tone. Of course, anyone cannot deny after seeing some blissful response.

"If you say so then I am assured."

Shin certainly accepted the answer.

He then, surge his left middle finger progressively.

"Two; What kind of contribution do I need to pitch in?"

Since the only serious phase of the series of questions was the first one, he just casually queried the remaining interrogatives.

"For an ordinary person, it might be a little dangerous but for a human like you, it is only a piece of cake."

Contraction of eyebrows was the reaction given by Shin for the unexpected remark.

"It's simple. You just need to go to every missions we need to take unless you have a valid reason for not joining."

*NOD NOD*

Shin quite understand the requirements told by the leader and so forth, nodded his head as a reaction of agreement.

Finally, he raised his left ring finger upward. Meaning that he will narrate his third inquiry.

"Three; Who are the people making up the whole Superior Branch?"

Out of nowhere, a mighty wind abruptly blasted. Considering that the windows of the apartment were open, Shin and Rene's hair danced with the breeze.

At that moment, Shin was sighted glancing at Rene with a professional face.

Leisurely closing his eyes. Tardily broading his closed lips wide. In conclusion, Rene is unanticipatedly smiling.

Also, the heavy tension enveloped around the room was broken by his grin.

"Except from me, it has 3 members. I can say that we will be 5."

Consequently, the hard pressure of air blowing the area had finally calmed down.

Their hairs also stopped waving.

"So it will be a 5 man team, huh."

Shin's sitting posture had changed. He depose his right leg that was above the couch.

"I am done deciding."

He held the arm rest. Shin put his force to his hands and legs as he is attempting to stand up.

He stood up straightly.

On the other hand, Rene also stood up from his position.

He already knew what will gonna happen so he immediately gave his arm to the air.

Shin walked towards Rene.

As a response, Shin grabbed Rene's right hand. They shook their hands together.

"HOHO..You are now part of the Strongest's branch. Be thankful, Shin."

"I am now a part of your branch. Welcome me as a VIP, Rene."

And, they continued shaking their hands while bragging about each other.

"No need as there is no one worthy."

"Heh, it is only because I am way beyond your expectations."

"I will let you be in your imagination."

"ARGH, CAN WE JUST STOP ALREADY!?"

"So that's you limit, huh."

"Shut up, privileged man."

Do I need to still explain this? Okay, so they are still boasting nonstop and both of them were already exhausted.

Rene told Shin that he will be going somewhere first before they go to the agency's base.

As a result, he got a siesta and take a quick nap.

(Afternoon of the same day)

*TOKTOK"

Shin was knocking on somebody's front door.

*Click"

*sfx: opened door*

"Oh, it is you, Shin. Good afternoon."

It was none other than the landlord, Mister Koudo.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Koudo."

"Why are you here? Answer that when you go inside."

Shin obediently followed the instruction said by Mr. Koudo. He went near the dining table.

The table is squared shaped and has chairs to each side.

The landlord sat at the table's farthest chair. The same also goes for Shin but at the nearest chair.

"So, what was this sudden visit for?"

"I am feeling sad but I am recruited to an agency and he said that I will live at their base."

*OHH"

The face of Mr. Koudo and his expression were noticeably sad.

< Shin is Mr. Koudo's favorite tenant. >

"Ohh, I see. So that man in 30's was a recruiter."

"Ye-yeah. Wait, how did you knew that man?"

Shin discernibly questioned Mister Koudo.

"Oww, you know, as you can see..he is here."

*HEEEEH"

He is shocked to what just Mr. Koudo said.

Shin hastily find where Rene is. He looked to every direction.

He went to the other parts of the room: bathroom, kitchen room, bedroom. Rene isn't there.

There is only one more room that he still didn't visit yet. It is the living room.

While not having a plan, Shin rushed towards the living room.

"HOHO..You almost squeaked there, Shin."

And yes, Rene is there.

"By the way, Shin, I already turned in the contracts and already informed him."

*HUUUUH?"

"Seriously?"

Shin still cannot believe the action made by Rene.

"It is true. Still, even if I already knew, it still saddens me."

Mister Koudo butted in the conversation full of confusion.

"That's okay, Mr. Koudo. You'll get used to it."

"Thank you, man."

Fist bomb was the only thing Rene could give to Mr. Koudo as a parting gift.

Shin felt like he wasn't included at that time.

"It is time now, Shin. Be prepared."

"Yeah, but there is no vehicles around here."

"HOHO..Don't rush yourself. Just wait for i-"

*ZOOOOM*

A black+red haired man with a maroon jacket teleported and showed up right in front of Shin and Rene's eyes

"Leader, let's go now."
