7 Chapter 7
After an hour drive, Keinichi arrived at his grandparents hometown.
"Just drop me off around that corner" He patted the driver.
"But the house is still further away"
"It's ok. I want to have a little here and there first"
The driver nodded and stopped the car.
Keinichi got off from the car and zipped his jacket up, it was colder there than in Osaka.
He walked to the country road and smiled. He was reminiscing his childhood memory there, riding bicycle, hiding behind the tall grass, searching for grashopper and alot of other fun things. He visited his grandparents house frequently until he followed his father to Scotland when he was 6. He went back to Japan when he was 18 and stayed there for about 2 years before he went to US. He was only back to Japan again 4 years later. He calculated it, he just realised that he had not been there for at least 12 years.
He was approaching a T junction where he decided to turned right. It was actually longer path to his grandparents home, but it had good scenery. He used to walk on that path and hid around the bush to exclusive him self from the world. He saw familiar tree on the side of the road, Some was bigger and some was smaller. At that moment, those tree were with out leave, but it was reddish and yellowish during autumn and some of the tree would turned into redish when cherry blossoms season arrived.
While he was drowned in his own memory, He caught a glimps of a girl. She was happily walked here and there while snapping picture using her digital camera. He was sure that the girl was not local, She didn't have any japanese feature at all. He watched the girl smiled with satisfaction at her camera screen, skipping here and there while humming a song. She also bowed politely to any people she passed.
Cacha walked along the path. She had her family holiday in Japan. Her eldest brother knew Yamaguchi elders. The edler came to her brother wedding and granpa Yamaguchi waa kindly walked her sister in law in the isle. The elders invited her family to come to their place so few people in her family came earlier. Her parents, her elder brother Nick, Elder sister in law Alice, Her second brother Sean, Seans' friend Jasmine and her was the group that came to visit the elder.
She studied landscape architecture. She asked permision to explore the village earlier. She realised that she had been away for and the sky was getting darker. She knew her parents would be worry about her if she did not return before dark, so she decided to walk back to the Yamaguchi place eventough she still wanted to explore more. She was enjoying the scenery when she noticed that someone was behind her. She stopped and turned her body around to find a handsome and attractive man behind her. She smiled and nodded to him.
Keinichi was stunned to see that she greeted him. He gave her a cold stare. It was a normal attitude for him, but it was not for Cacha. Her parents emphasized politeness since she was kids so she was unease with his attitude. She pouted and mumbled "Handsome face is useless without attitude" and walked ignoring him. Keinichi raised his eyebrows and sneered inwardly "She tought I don't speak english. what a joke !"
After while, Cacha noticed the man was still in behind her. She suddenly retified, she bit her finger and muttered to her self "In the Japanese manga, the sex predator is always tailing his prey".
She looked around, it was getting darker and no one around. It made her mind getting wild, she shook her head to get rid of her scary imagination and faster her steps. She took a quick glance to check if he was gone, but the guy was still behind her. She was panicking so she run as fast as she could.
Keinichi chuckled when he saw the girl run. He watched her until she was in the interection ans frowned.
"Why did she went to the left ?" He asked him self. The only household on the left was belong to the Yamaguchi, his mother family.
"Well, she must be lost. She was to scare of me " He grinned. He was sure that they would meet again in few minutes, it was a no through road.
Cacha stopped running when she arrived at the Yamaaguchi resident. She pant and stabilised her breath first before went to the main building.
"where is Cacha ?" She heard Alice voice was full of concern.
"I am here" her breath was back to normal but her face was still pale. It was a white as paper.
"What happen ?" Nick, Cacha elder brother asked
"Someone is following me from the village gate until here" Cacha told hem honestly.
"Here, drink a little bit to calm you down" Nick filled a cup with tea and gave it to his little sister.
Mr and Mrs Yamaguchi frowned, their village were very save, no one there would do such a thing.
Meanwhile, Keinichi arrived at his grandparents front gate.
"Why did I see the girl walk back ? I am sure it'd a human" He asked him self.
He did not believe in ghost or any superstitious thing , but at that moment, he felt chilled on his spine. he shook his head and went to the main bulding.
He went to the living room and bowed his head "grandpa, grandma ".
once he raised his head, he saw unfamiliar face before he saw the girl. While Cacha was stunned to see the guy who was follwing her was here.
"You !" Cacha and Keinichi yelled and pointing each other on the same time
" was the guy that stalking you ?" Mr and Mrs Yamaguchi laughed.
Cacha cocked her head
"He is my grandson. His mother is our daughter" Mrs Yamaguchi wiped her tears.
" Hello every one, I am Keinichi" He bowed to greet.
Cacha opened her mouth and closed it. She wanted to say something. But at the end she did not do anything.
Keinichi was about to leave when he noticed that his grandfather glared at him. He understood that the elder instructed to stay. He just stayed there and ducked his head. He silently laughed at him self "There is no such a female ghost thing. How stupid I was, why did not I suspect she is their guest".
Mr Yamaguchi ordered the maid "It's late already. Lets have dinner. keinichi, this is uncle and aunty Feng". Then, The family one by one introduced their self.
