10 Chapter 10

They walked again after short break.

"Oniichan, where will this road lead to ?"

"other village. do you want to see it ?"

"Can I ?"

He nodded and walked in front of her. It looked like he did not pay attention on her, but he actually monitored her from the corner of his eyes.

About 20 minutes later, Cacha saw a small village. She grabbed his hand excitedly when she saw a man punching a white dough "Oniichan, what are they making ?.

"It's traditional way to make mochi. do you want to try it ?"

She nodded. She walked closer to the shop and saw the display. She did not undestand japanese but on the sign it has number 3 then ¥ 500. So She could guess it the price was 3 for ¥500. There was 6 different colour of Mochi so She took her wallet and pulled a ¥1000 notes and gave to the lady She pointed every to each colour.

The lady who served something. Since she did not understand it, she blinked her eyes then smiled foolishly before she stared at Keinichi asking for help.

Keinichi chuckled when he saw what she did "Do you want each of flavour ?"

"Yes please. Do you want some ?"

"No thank you."

then He told the lady in Japanese "Sorry, she is a foreigner. She wants each of them".

The lady nodded "No problem. Young man your girlfriend is very cute. You look very good together".

He grinned "Thank you"

The Lady gave Cacha the mochi on a cute box. She opened it and ate it there "Gosh, it's so yummy"

The lady asked Keinichi "Does she like it ?"

"Yes. She said it's very delicious".

"What is delicious in japanese ?" Cacha asked him

"Oishi"

Cacha smiled to the lady. she put her thumb up and said "Oishi, arigato" Then she bowed.

"She is so cute" The lady and the man who punching the dough laughed happily

Cacha just walked away casually while Keinichi tried his best to keep his usual indifferent face. He held his laughter very well.

"Try it"

"No, I don't like sweet thing"

"come on. this is not too sweet".

Cacha forced him to eat.

"Young man. your girlfrind is very considerate. You should treasure her" An uncle tapped Keinichi. He was speechless so He just rolled his eyes and shook his head. He had an urge to scream and told them that she was not his girlfriend, Infact, they were just a stranger who met yesterday.

"Lets have lunch first" He dragged her to a small food stall. They sat on a wooden bench. He looked at the menu written on the wall "What do you like ? they sell different kind of udon. There is seafood, udon with chicken katsu, fish katsu or just plain one".

Cacha "With fish katsu please".

Keinichi went to the counter and ordered one with fish katsu and one with chicken katsu.

"I should take mum with me. Mum loves country side like this" Her eyes sparkling.

"My grandparents should take her to the otherone which is closer to our place".

The food arrived soon, 2 bowls of udon and 2 plates of katsu one was fish and one was chicken. Cacha forgot to ask with one was her, she just randomly took one plates of katsu and bite it.

"Sorry, I eat your chicken" she saw there was 2 piece of katsu in a plate. so she gave him one of her to him.

The owner of the place was a man on his 50's, he laughed at the couple. "You guys are so sweet. Me and my wife were like that when we were young".

"Young man, you are so lucky to have such a cute girl " another middle age man customer next to Cacha laughed.

He was speechless, he ate his lunch quietly while the girl next to him smiled to everyone all the time. He just wondered if she could keep smiling like that if she knew that they tought she was his girlfriend.

Keinichi paid for the bill before they went away. Cacha always paid for her own meal when never she went our with her friends took a ¥1,000 note and handed it to Keinichi "Oniichan, here is for lunch".

He was stunned. He hardly went out with girl. The last time he took a lady out for meal, he paid for everything.

"Is it not enough" Cacha asked.

"It's ok, my shout"

"Are you sure ?" She asked. He nodded firmly

"Thank you. Can we come back to the mochi shop ?"

"Why ?"

"I want to buy more for mum and elder sister"

"There is plenty mochi shop across Japan".

"But that one is good" Cacha insisted.

"Other places are even better" He made an excuse as he was to lazy to come back.

They walked again. He was amazed that she was cheerful all day along. She was skipping here and there all day, humming few song and chatting nonstop like a bird.

He did not like noisy people but he was very entertaining that day. Cacha on the other hangs was very awkward, she initiated a discussion for so many time but his anwered only yes, ok, no, hmm.

"Oniichan, Lets get back home"

"Ok"

"Oniichan, why are you so quiet? do you not like me ?" Cacha asked honestly.

Keinichi was dumbstruck "I don't talk much".

"Oh.." Cacha hang her head and walked. She assumed he indeed did not like her noisy personality

They walked quitely during their way back. Before when she was very noise he tough it woulf be wonderful if she stopped talking. But now, he wished she talked again, it was too boring.
