1 Sign of Doom

A black feather floated down from the sky a tag of paper tied to the steam of the feather.

A black feather is a sign of death, doom, and devastation.

The people watched the feather drift into their young leaders hands.

She turned the paper over to reveal the name of her best friend.

Her tears fell, the clouds cried. Rain poured down onto the people.

The people ran back into their homes in hope of weathering the storm.

But one person staying outside in the pouring rain.

Clutching the feather to her chest the young leader collapsed.

The rain continued to pour all night.

Luckily one of the townspeople carried the young leader into her house before she could catch a cold.
