Another theory

If Travis and his guys were not kicked out from the society, they would never believe what they were watching. The 3 of them sure had a pallor of fear spread on their face, but Travis just watched intact thinking if he did the right thing over and over again.

Jay, after being injected with the strong morphine didn't react or show anything for few seconds.

But when it all started, it was really terrifying to watch.

No one understood what the dose was doing to her exactly. Rather than just hitting her up, it was obviously reacting in some way. Anything but getting her high!

Jay started shaking, but it wasn't something like the calming sensation of a drug. It was something a lunatic would do when denied his wishes in an asylum.

She clasped her head and shook it sideways as if trying to get something outta it but it just won't budge. Her expressions were unclear and mixed. She was still on the earth. As her breathing grew more in sound, audible to everyone present in the area.

Slowly she started taking support of the ragged wall and stood herself up. Her head still down and clutched hair in her fingers, so tight that it might tear off. Her loud breaths turning in to deep growls. And then slow voices followed. She started mumbling to herself increasing the horror in the atmosphere.

"The bitch's lost it!", exclaimed one of them in fear.

Travis didn't move a muscle.

He only concentrated on the voices coming from her.

...…...get out!

Kills you faster…

What did I just intake...…?

Answer me...

...…The fuck dammit!!!

She's been aware. She's been aware of every single thing that has happened even though it seemed her mind was out of it. Is she not a junkie after all? What did the morphine do to her? Wait...it can't be…...is she one of those...….

Jay finally lifted her face.

This time Travis's arms dropped beside him and his steps trembled. The ones behind him were already backing off few steps.

It's obvious, Travis thought, this kid is....

Jay lifted up her head which tilted beside her shoulder.

Suddenly it dropped the other side as if the bones were all bent like nothing. Her eyes were emitting glow of a complete psycho as her dark pupils could be clearly seen contracting and expanding often and fast. It was moving from each side to another quickly. It was studying the ones present in front of her. Her one second gaze on one of them made them feel their faces burning through. Not one could look into them. She rotated her neck all around and let it fall again beside in an eerie manner.

After a second, a side of her lip suddenly lifted up in an uneven smirk which sent their spine freezing down. Her shoulder started shaking when Travis understood that that she was laughing. As she took a step towards them and scoffed, he suddenly spoke without letting her another chance to continue further.

Else he knew what would happen.

"Feeling all hyped up just after one dosage?", he asked serious.

"You...", Jay started speaking with the usual smug look and a husky creepy voice," ...…...were the one to inject me?".

Travis nodded.

"What was it?", she demanded," I need it more".

"No more for ya", he denied," You ain't even one to take".

The guys exchanged confused looks. She is not a junkie? Not even a starter? She looked like one.

Jay's eyes changed. They started fuming at the firm denial. Her current state got to the good of her. She suddenly charged forward at Travis like an open predator. Her eyes hungry and full of bloodlust. Her breaths in continuous deep growls as she clutched at Travis's collar shaking him behind. The boys gasped but didn't take any action as Travis raised his hand to their pause.

It would be wrong to say that Travis wasn't scared or his heart accelerate. But he was someone to maintain his calm because he knew some knowledge of things in the world. Those wolf eyes right in front of his were too powerful for him. He was fidgeting to keep meeting them every second. But he tried hard to.

"Come back to your senses kid!", he said in a stern tone, "You're not even high, this will fade eventually when you regret intaking those shit!!!".

Jay didn't let go but raised up his collar even high. Her face shaking.

"It wasn't the best decision of mine too", Travis repeated, "So get a hold of yourself already coz it'll fade sooner than you think".

Jay still maintained her hands tight. But Travis knew that his words had kicked in faster than the morphine when he felt her hold loosening. The grip was turning softer. The serum did help. But that sensation which she had a taste of will haunt her from now on. She'll start craving for more. It'll in turn stimulate her desires more and kick in her state of mind. She'll think she is controlling it, but she will just destroy herself gradually.

Jay backed off slowly taking support of the wall again.

Her hand went up to her head again as she groaned," …...Shit! My head...". And the terrible headache that always followed. Her voice had turned close to normal, but her situation still persisted. It didn't help cure the entire thing!

"Nothing better than that to cut off this shit?", she spoke with a little clear mind of her own, addressing to Travis, 'It's killing me".

"No, but something little worse", Travis replied.

"Impact it then", Jay said quickly.

"The morphine wasn't cheap itself", Travis said again.

Jay went up to her pocket and whatever she grabbed in a crumbled manner from inside, she threw it at the ground. It fell somewhere near Travis's feet as the boys picked them up hastily as per his orders.

"Enough?', he asked.

"More than that", the boy replied.

"Fucking stop wasting the time!!!", Jay hissed angrily as her head stung horribly.

Travis took a step towards her and spoke," Will you able to take the impact as normally as it would be? Because right now for you, there can be nothing better than this".

- Anything which works.

- Might be painful

- You have no idea then.

Travis took his time to watch her face once again. So desperate. So helpless! Yet such a strong will. She ain't a coward. Even without a remedy, she wants to live through it.

Why was he doing this? He didn't feel pity or worry. So why?

She's so similar to that person.

May be that's why?

Travis nodded once to the guys behind him and spoke, "You won't die by this".

- At least I'm not dead by that yet.

- Looks like we will be seeing each other often from now onwards. The name's Travis.

- Jay...…

- Now you know where to come for us from next time.

- Yes ......now shoot that fuck!!!
