Along with the pupa

It's really miraculous that every time Jay opens her eyes after a long moment of darkness and silence, she always finds herself in whole new surroundings. As if she has completely transported without her having a single memory of it. It seems she just runs around with the situation and then later wonder and regret of her being so fog minded. Then she has to put unnecessary efforts to recall her previous reasons to have herself end up in such. It always runs in some kind of oblivion and she has never rooted out the source.

A strong bright light more than usual in her home stung her eyes.

It's always the light which drags her back in to reality. Wasn't she in her room a while ago? Blue neon hovering over with the dark collected calm around?

Why from out of nowhere is she sitting on the bench of a public open lot park in the out suddenly? With an annoying huge building with blinding light invading her?

Then Chris's voice rung around her ear once again.

"I am really sorry Jay, but this interview is really important for the interns. I've never assigned anything to you before this, just for today okay? Since the supermarket will be off tomorrow, only the groceries. It's better to step out once in a while at least than staying bottled up in the dingy place, just this once please?".

Were the words told to her. He must've been really desperate this time else he never dares to call upon her on weekends, even for meals. Not even weekdays. And before Jay could read her situation properly, she was already handed over the money and was out in her current state.

"It's too bright and far", Jay sighed and exclaimed to herself, looking at the least 10 steps far supermarket in front of her. Lazily she pulled herself up and dragged in front of the gate.

"Crowdy", she mumbled as soon as she stepped in. The first idea that stuck her was to leave within 1 second. But Chris was pleading so terribly…...and she already came this far. To leave without any result? Turn him down? Not that he has been in good base for her to let him on a favor, but…... being colder than she already is?

Her eyes started searching for the grocery section. Just that one section, right? But she realized that Chris never gave her a list. Should she just buy whatever looks appealing?

"Whatever, huh!", she sighed tired and stepped towards the too fake bright looking tomatoes, completely forgetting the fact that she's allergic to citric stuff and Chris never puts them in her meals. Only if she had the chance to study the world beyond that ruthless unknown suffering and study her social life.

In other words, if other people could see how miserable and abnormal life can get beyond their practical comfort zone…..
