35 final chapter

I looked out over the edge looking down at the hubbub below, the wind blew through my hair, I sighed remembering being inside my own body, being trapped in there without hope of ever getting out, I had given up, the others don't know that, the others don't know that I nearly died, they don't know that I had forgotten them, their faces, their voices, their laughter everything all those memories had slowly died in my mind, I didn't remember them, not until I had heard Shreya chanting 'you are dark, I am light' I would never forget those words

"Raven? What are you doing up here?" I turned around on the ledge and saw Arimas looking scared I smiled and turned again, my back towards Arimas

"I'm just thinking, Arimas, that's all" I assured

"Well as long as you're not thinking of jumping" Arimas stated sounding worried I shook my head

"I've seen death, Arimas, up close, and I never want to be in that position again. I would never give my life, ever" I told him

"Well Shreya is worried about you, she sent me up here to help you" I laughed at that

"Why is she not here?" I asked now facing Arimas he smiled nervously as he scratched his head

"Shreya doesn't like heights, they scare her" he shrugged I nodded

"You don't have to worry, Arimas, I was just thinking about how I nearly gave up on life whilst I was trapped in my own body, I didn't tell you this but I nearly forgot everything, including you" now that I had said it out loud I realized just how shocking it was. Arimas wasted no time and he hugged me I held on for dear life not wanting it to ever end, the sense of security, the sense of friendship

"There you are, I was so worried" I let go of Arimas and I looked around to see I was back home Shreya was the one that had spoken she hugged me tight then held me by the shoulders and shook me as she spoke "what on earth were you doing on top of Big Ben?" She asked, more like shouted

"I was thinking, Shreya relax I would never jump" I told her as I held her face she looked into my eyes and I knew she was reading my mind and I let her whilst I thought 'don't worry, I will never leave you' she gasped and I smiled she smiled too then hugged me tight.

Six years later

Ravens P.O.V

A lot of things have changed these past six years. I found out I was a witch, I fought demons and Gild, lost friends, but made new better friends, I graduated from university with a degree in law, I am currently working at a law firm. I thought it would be hard handling being a witch in a mortal world, but I have found a routine that works for me. My new friends don't care weather I spend time with them or not, don't get me wrong they care about me and are always there when I need them but they don't complain when I don't spend time with them.

I've still not found love, my soul mate, but to me that doesn't matter, for now I am happy without love.

Arimas and Skylar got married two years ago, I was a bridesmaid, or a maid of honour, as the Americans call it, although Arimas wanted me to be best man I chose to be a bridesmaid instead, as I realized I would not look good in a suite, Arimas ended up with Blake as best man, it was a beautiful ceremony and it took place at the church where Skylar declared her love, and it was where father Nicholas befriended Arimas, Skylar felt father Nicholas's presence. All her spirit friends were there too, apparently they cried but I can't guarantee they did. She wore a lovely ivory dress which she promised I could have for when I get married.

Mum, my adopted mum, decided to become a werewolf, she said there was no way she could give up food, she chose uncle Troy to turn her, as he was the only ware she knew and trusted but unfortunately uncle Troy told us he couldn't turn mum into a ware because only an alpha could do it and he wasn't an alpha, and his alpha would only do it if mum promised to join his pack, which mum didn't want to do. So bottom line was she couldn't be a werewolf. This upset all of us. After a few days though Skylar had come to see us and she told us that one of her spirit friends had been a witch and she had a spell that could transform mum into a witch, this made us happy, but Skylar warned that the spell may not work, it had worked for the witch that had used it but it might not work for mum, but at this point we were ready to try anything and mum felt she could become any immortal being as long as it wasn't a vampire her first choice was to become a witch but we had thought it was impossible to become a witch, you had to be born with witch blood, therefore we had dismissed the idea. So mum was happy to try this out, we did the ritual, first we lit a candle, then Shreya and I read the first part of the spell:

Hear now the words of the witches,

The secrets we hide in the night.

The oldest of gods are invoked here,

The great work of magic is sought.

Then after mum wrote down the rest of the spell she read it out loud:

In this night and in this hour,

I call upon the ancient power.

Let it be forever

I want the power, give me the power. (Both parts of the spell taken from charmed, re-worded to suit the story)

She then burned the piece of paper the spell was written on, with the candle then, like I had done, she wrote her 'trigger' on a piece of paper, she said her trigger out loud,

"I have the power" then she burned the paper with the same candle we waited for midnight if she got her powers, good, if not then it hadn't work. Lucky for us it did, the ritual had worked and mum became a witch. We had the power of three. (Hehehe I'm sorry I had to add that power of three)

Ruby was doing well, getting revenge on Melanie whenever she could, she had transformed the woods to its former glory before the darkness, she was a good queen and was liked by all the fairies, well, most fairies.

Andrew, Annie, and Jen drifted apart and I drifted from them, I just had nothing in common with them. I still spoke to them whilst we were in school but just in passing, I can't tell you what they're doing now, six years on, I'm not in touch with them we lost all contact when we finished secondary school, we went to different colleges and universities so sorry I don't know where they are, or what they're doing.

Who else.... Ah yes Zain, Blake's brother, he found a man to spend his life with Chris, he's a Lycan too, and they're in love, its nice to see but the green monster is always there in the shadows when I see Zain with Chris or Skylar with Arimas but I still have faith that I will, one day, find him. The man from my dream.
