28 chapter 28

I woke up in the woods behind my house, the house I grew up in, I looked around trying to remember how I got here, the last thing i remembered was going to sleep in Shreya's house, I looked down to see I was wearing blue faded jeans and a plain black tee 'why am I here?, how did I get here?

"hello" I called, my voice echoed around the woods but no one answered

I decided to walk around, maybe I'd see someone, if not I'd make my way home god knows how much time I had spent in these woods growing up, my dad and I would play hide and seek in these woods sometimes I would climb the trees so my dad could never find me, but then he would tell me off saying tree climbing was dangerous. I never listened though I smiled at the memories as I navigate myself through the woods.

soon enough I came to a stream I sat next to it pulling my jeans up from the bottom then dipped my feet into the clear water. I took a deep breath and exhaled with a smile I'd forgotten how calm this place was and how easy it was to get lost by sitting here I used to feel like I had stepped outside of the world where nothing existed but nature. As I looked into the stream a face appeared, it was a boy I gasped and moved away only to move backwards into something solid I quickly stood and turned to see the boy I had seen in the stream

"Are you ok?" he asked I just nodded I couldn't talk this boy was gorgeous, he had shaggy brown hair and the most amazing green eyes I could get lost in those green orbs. he brushed a strand of my hair behind my ear I realised then that he was holding me he must of caught me as I turned around I had nearly lost my footing and he had caught me before I fell. I looked away as my cheeks were on fire but he placed two fingers under my chin and tilted my face up, he bought his face closer to mine. I knew what was coming. I closed my eyes as his lips connected with mine I moaned then he was gone I opened my eyes to see I was in my room, on my bed, I sat up looking around I groaned and fell back down onto my pillow

"It was a dream" I told myself but I smiled remembering the dream, I found I was falling in love with the man from my dream. my stomach knotted and I felt like I was on a cloud it reminded me of the time Arimas had drunk my blood the feeling was the same only stronger. I smiled remembering how amazing the kiss had felt, then I remembered it had been a dream my smile faltered what if he wasn't real, what if that was my mind trying to sooth me. I looked at my bed side clock it read three a.m I groaned I wasn't even sleepy anymore I threw the covers off me deciding to go watch some t.v. School holidays had started for the Christmas period so I knew I would be able to get sleep during the day. I made my way out of my room and down the stairs. I came into the living room to see the t.v already on then above the sofa a head popped up it was Arimas

"Couldn't sleep?" He asked, I just shook my head and went to sit next to him "bad dream?" He asked I shook my head no "want to talk about it?" Again I shook my head no Arimas nodded at this and went back to watching some game show on the t.v knowing I wasn't going to say anything. I was thinking hard about the dream could it have been a premonition, Mitch has the gift to see the future, maybe I have the same gift? But even I knew how far fetched that was my gift was to throw energy balls and I was good at it, why would I have another gift? It didn't make sense. I realized I wanted this dream to be true but deep down I knew it couldn't be true I groaned as threw my head back "Raven" Arimas called I had forgotten he was still there I looked at him his expression was a worried one "what's wrong?" He asked I just stared at him, could I tell him? Would he laugh at me? Would he make me feel worse? "I'm your friend, Raven, please tell me what's wrong, maybe I can help"

"I had this dream" I started before I could stop myself "in the dream I was in the woods and I saw this boy there, he was amazing and he kissed me and I felt like I was flying, then I woke up" I finished not telling him all the detailed he was nodding as I looked at him expectantly, he wasn't laughing for that I was grateful.

"And you want to know if this guy is real?" He asked I nodded "well that's easy if it was a premonition you will find him in the woods when the time is right if it was a dream you won't see him" Arimas shrugged as if it was really that easy. I thought for a bit and decided he was right I'd go when I felt it was the right time

"Thanks Arimas you're great" I told him

"What are friends for, besides I owe you one, if it hadn't been for you I wouldn't have Skylar, my mate" I smiled at the revelation

"I did nothing, Arimas, the fates did, besides you're my friend, of course I'd help you" I told him as I gave him a side hug

I wasn't even tired anymore so I stayed up watching t.v with Arimas we watched t.v in silence, I got up a few times to get snacks, or a drink and Arimas didn't seem to mind that I kept getting up, he was just grateful for the company

After washing my popcorn bowl I went back into the living room where Arimas was reading a book.

"What are you reading?" I asked trying to see the cover

"The Richmond haunting" he answered

"Read it" I told him waving my hand he just nodded I carried on watching t.v.

At ten in the morning Skylar came down, she went straight into the kitchen without even a good morning Arimas and I both greeted her but she didn't answer, confused I looked at Arimas he just shrugged signaling he knew nothing of her mood so I went into the kitchen to find out if she was ok

"Hey Sky" I greeted

"Hi" she yawned looking tired

"Did you not sleep well?" I asked concerned

"No, stupid ghosts kept me up"

"James and dad?"

"No, new ghosts, they said something is coming and you're in grave danger, they said you should go see the seer" I knew what a seer was, it was a being that could see your future, unlike Mitch, who can only see his own future, a seer can see anyone's future. I was worried grave danger didn't sound good at all.
