Some of the beings got together at Shreya's place to discuss the new plan everyone was happy we came up with a plan but most were apprehensive when they were told someone had to be bait. Although they were assured they would be safe they were still scared. Mum wanted to be part of the meeting.

"So who wants to lure the Gild?" Shreya asked, everyone looked at each other, some discussed it amongst themselves, I got worried, if no one volunteered the plan would be a fail Shreya would never let me do this otherwise I'd have volunteered

"I'll do it" I turned to the voice and gasped when I saw my mum everyone seemed relieved but Shreya laughed lightly shaking her head

"You can't, Gild don't attack mortals, you need to be non human" Shreya shruugged

"Oh"my mum said looking embarrassed she sat down

"But thank you Zoya, it's amazing that a human wants to help save non humans" Shreya said, mum smiled she didn't seem embarrassed anymore. I nodded a smile towards Shreya as if to say thanks she just nodded back "anyone else?" Shreya asked "I mean come on people a human" she pointed at mum "just stepped up, a human that doesn't have the powers, nor need to take on a Gild but she still volunteered, she did it for you, if she can do it, so can you" Shreya finished people still looked at each other hoping someone else will do it

"I'll do it" a man, I'd never met before, said standing up "I'm a lycan" he told us

"NO!" Blake shouted also standing and walking over to the man that stood up "you can't Zain, I won't let you" Blake seemed upset the man, known as Zain, held him by the shoulders

"Blake, I have to, no one else wants to, someone has to" Zain explained

"No" Blake shook his head tears rolling down his cheeks "just because they're all chicken, doesn't mean you have to go, please Zain don't go" Blake cried glaring over Zain's shoulder at everyone else Zain smiled

"I'll be fine, Shreya promised" Zain looked towards Shreya who nodded towards Blake

"He will be protected with spells by all witches" she told him in a soothing voice Blake looked away looking at the floor Zain put his hand under his chin and lifted his tear streaked face, with a smile he wiped Blake's tears, Blake hugged him so tight, I thought he would break Zain In half

"I love you" Blake told him in a whisper

"I love you too" Zain answered as he let go "now you have to be strong ok?, like you were when dad died, you remember?" Zain told him Blake nodded as he sniffed

"Don't remind me, Zain, what happened to mum and dad won't happen to you" he said it sounding like a question directed at Shreya she shook her head no and Blake smiled

"What do I have to do?" Zain asked facing Shreya again, she explained his role to him and everyone listened, Blake seemed calm as he heard it knowing his brother would be fine.

Even though Zain had a lot of questions he was confident with the plan

"Good plan" his comment was directed at me I smiled looking down at my feet totally embarrassed I was a good planner but not good at taking compliments.

everyone then decided it was late, so decided to go home but Shreya believed it was safer in the house so it was decided that the witches would 'blink' all the beings to their homes.

The first witches left with beings, Arimas started to hiss and show his fangs uncle Tony growled too but they weren't hissing or growling at each other, no they were facing the window

"Oh s**t" Shreya said in a normal voice then shouted "EVERYONE POSITION A, POSITION A" people started to move around and in the space of about ten seconds everyone disappeared, I stood there like the idiot I was confused and alone what on earth is position A, I felt someone grab my waist, I tried to scream but they covered my mouth

"Shh" they whispered in my ear they dragged me backwards I was scared I needed to escape so I waited thinking as soon as this person moves his hand I'll do a spell I knew it was a man because his hands were big and rough, he dragged me backwards into the closet under the stairs he finally let go of my waist and turned me around still covering my mouth I couldn't see his face but I knew it was the Gild, he was here, I could kill him now and Blake wouldn't have to think about losing his brother so I waited hoping he would let my mouth go even for a second but he didn't, as if he knew what I was going to do then I heard something

'Tap, tap' no it was a knocking, someone was knocking on the front door, I tried to move out of the closet, but the man held on to me, his arm snaking around my waist

"Don't..... Move" he said slowly whispering in my ear it didn't sound menacing though like I knew it should, it was like he wasn't trying to scare me, I tried to look at him properly but there was no light, I couldn't see anything,but there was one thing I was sure of, this man wasn't scary, I started doubting he was a Gild, maybe he was one of the beings and instead of me thinking he was trying to kidnap me I started to believe he was maybe protecting me.

He put an ear towards the door I looked intently my hearing was better than human, so I leveled out my breathing and concentrated on listening

"... So where is everyone?" Someone asked I gasped, well tried to anyway, my mouth was still covered, that was Annie's voice

"Beats me, maybe no one is here" Andrew spoke

"All the lights are on Andy, who leaves the lights on when they go out?"

"We do, mum says it keeps burglars away, coz if the lights are on they think someone's home"

"Ok, that explains the lights, what about the door? I mean it was open does that keep burglars away?" They said nothing for a while. "Come on let's get out of here we'll see Ray in school tomorrow"

"Yeh like we saw her today, and yesterday?" Andrew was asking, the front door shut the man breathed next to me

"They're gone" he said letting go of my mouth and waist

"Zain?" I asked

"Yeh" he said in a 'duh' sort of way "who did you think I was?" He asked

"No one" I told him as we got out of the closet

"Yeh that's why I kept your mouth covered" he said sarcastically

"Hey guys" Blake greeted

"Hey" both of us answered as more people came out of their hiding places

"Thanks Zain we forgot Raven didn't know the meaning of position A" Blake thanked Zain "I just hope you didn't do anything in their" Blake said accusingly I turned red and Zain scratched the back of his head smiling, Blake walked off and Shreya walked to us

"Oh my god, are you okay?" She asked me as she hugged me tight, to tight

"Can't.... Breath" I told her slowly she let go immediately with a sorry

"I'm so sorry, I forgot to tell you about positions" Shreya apologised

"It's fine mum really, it's just great, Zain was there" I told her she turned to Zain and thanked him and hugged him, she didn't hug him as tight as she had hugged me, then she left as everyone resumed going home

"Thanks, for saving me" I told him

"It's fine, you didn't really need saving, it's just Arimas and Tony acted as if there was danger, I'm sorry I grabbed you the way I did, I didn't hurt you, did I?" He asked looking scared I shook my head no and he seemed to be relieved

Everyone had left, only Shreya, mum and I remained and after saying bye to Shreya I 'blinked' mum and me home

"Woah" mum stumbled in the living room holding her head with one hand and holding the wall with the other like she was drunk I just laughed

"Don't worry mum, you'll get used to it"

"Ha, no thanks, I'd rather drive" she decided I laughed lightly, once she recovered we went upstairs to get much needed sleep.

Even though I was tired I couldn't sleep my mind was thinking too much, I thought of the plan and tried to see if I could spot any flaws, then I went over Zain's roll hoping we didn't leave anything out when I was sure we would be fine I closed my eyes willing to go to sleep.
