Sometimes facing past doesn't ensure everything.

Just by looking at Liu Si Si's face, one could say that she was against the plan. And not just her, if it had been anyone in her place, they would have been the same.

At once leaving her chair, she came to stand in front of Yun Meiyi and said, "YiYi, what stuff do you want to take from there. Let's go shopping and we will get everything new. You don't need to ever return to that Yun mansion." She said, already holding onto her arms and not allowing her to go anywhere.

"Si Si, I would be okay. I have to return there. This is important." Knowing the concern of her friend, Yun Meiyi tried to explain but before she could do it in a better way, Liu Si Si pouted and rejected it.

"What could be more important than having peace of mind? It was just last night you suffered so much. Why do you have to go back through all of that again? YiYi, I don't know anything but I am not letting you go. If you really want your own dresses, we can go and shop. But I am nowhere letting you go to the Yun Mansion."

She said but smiling at her apologetically, Yun Meiyi removed her hand and shook her head. "I know your concern, Si Si but I would have to go there. To begin anew, I have to let go of my past first and for that, I need to face that past. I can't just put my back on it. Don't worry, I will be fine and will return back soon."

Yun Meiyi said, already turning to leave. She was just about to walk away when suddenly Liu Si Si's words paused her. "YiYi, you make it sound so easy, but I know you are just mustering up the courage to go there. Sometimes facing the past doesn't ensure everything. And better than me no one could know this." She said as a regretful smile curved her lips bringing up a distressful expression on her face.

The pain in the voice was clear enough to put anyone in empathy and Yun Meiyi was no different. Still, she didn't turn to comfort her, rather pausing there for a moment, she walked away as if not for once, her heart and determination wavered.

Behind the sad smile didn't get replaced from the expression of Liu Si Si for a good moment of time. Not because she was upset that Meiyi still left her but because she knew that Meiyi was not as weak as she had considered her. After a while, she composed herself then shrugging her shoulders as if nothing happened, she went back to enjoy the remaining of her breakfast.

On the other side, at Yun Mansion,

A servant briskly walked through the corridor. His expression showed a layer of worry as if there was something wrong that was going to happen which would concern his life and salary – the two subjectively important priorities of any normal person's life.

Knocking at some room's door with a slightly panicked attitude, he spoke with his bowed head, "Madam, s-sorry for disturbing you like this. But you have to come and see. Young Miss has not yet opened the door. A few maids have already gone to knock at her door but no matter how they knock, there is no response coming from within."

Lin Su Yi didn't lose her composure, instead, she turned to look at the clock and said with a face full of consideration. "Jiaqi must be out until late yesterday, she might be sleeping extra. There is no need to panic. Don't knock on the door and disturb her sleep. Just go and wait outside her room with the master key, I am coming." She said and nodding to her politely, soon the servant left to follow her orders.

The servant waited outside the room and after a while, the woman appeared. Taking the master key from him, she gestured for him to leave, while she went forward to open the door of her daughter's room. And in no time the door was unlocked.

Stepping inside, she found the bed was creaseless as if no one had even sat at the edge of it. Her brows jutted in a frown as she called, "Jiaqi! My honey baby, where are you?"

"Ma, I am here." A groggy voice came from the other side of the bed and then the woman's eyes spotted her girl crouched on the floor. She quickly went to her side and, bending on her knees, she lifted her chin up in concern to ask.

"What happened to you? Have you been crying here all night?" She asked and Yun Jiaqi simply leaned to wrap her arms around her mother's neck.

Sobbing, she said, "Ma, I ruined it all, yesterday. Brother Su might already be upset with me. What should I do now?"

"Su Yang would be upset? Why would he be like that? He loves you, dear; he would never be mad at you." The mother said but the girl simply shook her head rejecting all her words.

"Mama, yesterday, we planned to humiliate Meiyi. But in the end, it didn't turn out as we had thought. Instead, it was Meiyi who embarrassed me in the end by singing how superior she is to me. She even said I can have Brother Su since she no longer fancies him. And all of this has upset Brother Su. You know he went home after the party, leaving me alone at the venue."

Yun Jiaqi stated it all and rage flowed in the eyes of the woman. She looked at the pitiful face of her daughter and then called a servant.

Soon a maid came in and bowed her head with politeness, "Madam!"

"Go and call Meiyi. Tell her, I want to see her now." The lady said but the maid didn't move even an inch from her place. She stood then with her head bowed. Seeing her like that, she frowned deeper and asked, "Why are you still standing here? Go and call her."

"Madam, Elder Young Miss has not returned home since last night. We had gone to check on her earlier, but in her room, there was no one." The maid replied.

The woman was further angered. Turning to glare at the maid, she bellowed, "She has not returned since last night and you are only telling me this now?"

"…" The maid didn't say anything. She just looked down at the floor, taking in all the blame. Yun Meiyi has done a lot for them. If they had to sacrifice even their life for her, none of the maids or servants would back off.

"Ma, she must have gone. Yesterday night, after she got to know that Brother Su has chosen me over her, she became all crazy. She sounded like she was going to do something big. She might have left the home already" Jiaqi said and from her voice, it could be said that making Yun Meiyi leave the house was not something in her plans.

Lin Su Yi's expression also changed, but then getting back in her composure, she said, "Leaving Yun mansion? Heh! Do you think that girl would have the guts to do that? Other than us, who does she have in the city? Sooner or later, she would be coming back home. After all, not just people, she even lacks money."

She said, and Yun Jiaqi was ready to shake her head and refute her words, when another maid came in to inform, "Madam, Elder Young Miss is here. But she is saying that she would be leaving again soon."
