48. My one and only.

Just when Wang Ping Ruo was about to leave, Cheng Juan halted her. "Ping Ruo, earlier, why didn't you let me speak about Secretary Huang's orders. It would have been better if Vice President Wen had known about it." She asked.

And at her question like that, Wang Ping Ruo simply turned to say, "Are you crazy? If I had let her know about this, wouldn't he have refused to help? It's better this way. At least, he would be confident in his stance and would try his best to hold Liu Si Si. Don't think too much. At the moment, just think about what's important. And keeping Liu Si Si is important. So, focus on that."

She said and then left without getting concerned if her words sounded like an insult to the other woman.

On the other side, Liu Si Si kept her phone back after completing her call with Cheng Juan. Turning to Yun Meiyi, she nonchalantly said, "I got summoned by Vice President Wen now. He wants to see me at the company. Manager Cheng called me as his messenger. Seems like up until now, Wang Ping Ruo has gone to rub her ass over his perverted member. Otherwise, no other reason seems to satisfy his involvement this soon."

She said and Yun Meiyi turned to look at her with a weird look. Maybe her choice of words was something that came unexpectedly.

When Liu Si Si saw that look, she shrugged her shoulders. "You can't blame me for those foul words since I am not using it just for some say. That's the truth and if not like that, I didn't know how to put those words in a better decent way."

Yun Meiyi couldn't help but shake her head at her innocent reason. "You got summoned by Feathering Heights' Vice President, don't you feel scared? His summon might mean that you would be getting forced into doing something that you don't want to do."

She said and Liu Si Si paused at her words as if she was particularly thinking about something. But just after a moment, she returned back to her casual composure to say, "What's there to get scared about? Isn't he just a Vice President of Feathering Heights? The CEO of Feathering Heights is driving me to the company herself. It should be him, getting scared of me. After all, my backing is more powerful than his."

She said, and Yun Meiyi couldn't help but chuckle at her confidence. Her words felt a bit childish to hear, but what she said wasn't wrong. In the end, Meiyi didn't say more. Instead, she focused on driving the car.

And it was not long after they reached the basement of Feathering Heights. Yun Meiyi took a spot in the parking area before parking the car and getting out of it.

Liu Si Si also looked around the empty space and after a moment, she sighed her breath out. "Aye, what a loss of opportunity." Yun Meiyi turned to look at her, to which she further added, "Yi Yi, you brought such a fine car. Why do you have to drive it all the way to the parking lot? Wouldn't it have looked nice, if you had stopped it at the front of the building and let the valet there to park it for you?"

Yun Meiyi rolled her eyes and then shook her head. "Si Si, we should go into the building first. Let's not waste our time here." She said before taking her steps to move to get the elevator from the parking itself.

Liu Si Si Si pouted but then followed after her. Her words earlier were of no use. After all, she knew that she never liked to show off herself. If she really was a person like that, Yun Jiaqi would have never got a face to reveal to the outside world.

As Yun Meiyi was on the way to the elevator, her phone rang. She wasn't surprised to see the person calling. Before Liu Si Si could even ask who was the caller, she saw the girl receiving the call with ease.

"Yes, Xiao Xiao, I have reached the company already. You don't have to stress over it. I will be able to handle the things and if there is something I won't be able to handle, I will give you a call. Will that be okay?"

After a moment, Yun Meiyi hummed and then disconnected the call. And at the same time, the elevator dinged open. Both her and Liu Si Si climbed up while Meiyi kept her phone back in her purse. Once it was done, she turned to look at Si Si to ask, "What's the matter? Why do you suddenly look sullen?"

Liu Si Si pursed her lips and asked, "How long have you known Xiao Xiao?"

Not minding much about her question, she replied nonchalantly, "It's been long since I have known her. From the moment I have known her, she has always been around me."

Liu Si Si's expression grew more sullen at her reply as she asked again, "Do you mean even when you were not able to make contact with me, she was around you?" Yun Meiyi nodded and was about to say something but before she could, she heard Si Si snap her shut to say in a threatening tone, "Yi Yi, you better know this well. I am the only best friend you can have. I won't accept Xiao Xiao or any other around. It's already tough for me to accept Le Tian. I am not going to share you with anyone anymore."

She vented and when Yun Meiyi heard her, she couldn't help but scratch the corner of her brows. After a while, she reached to pat her arms, "Si Si, Xiao Xiao is my secretary. Do you have to compare her with you?"

"I don't know anything. I just wanted to make it clear to you. That's all." Liu Si Si was not the one to easily concede especially when it was about Yun Meiyi. So, in the end, Meiyi had to nod to her accordingly.

"Fine, I understood what you said. I promise you will always be my one and only. Now, are you fine?"

Liu Si Si looked at her and after a moment nodded. "Hearing your promise, I am better."

Yun Meiyi couldn't help but shake her head, "Lucky to hear that. Now let's go we are already there." She said at that moment, the elevator dinged open, bringing them straight to the floor where the conference room and President and Vice President's office were located.

Cheng Juan was standing not too far away. When she heard the ding of the elevator, she turned to look in the direction, only to find Liu Si Si and Yun Meiyi standing on the other end of the distance. Her brows tugged in a frown as she turned to walk to them grumpily.
