Chapter 1: The incredible Hospice
Katherine Carter ' s life was very simple and expected of, well planned in the city of dreams but with lesser opportunities.
The only thing that she has ever dreamed of was to be financially stable so that she can support her family, to work, work and only work but everything changed when she met him, her main source of inexpressible love, the soul she'd dreamt to find a place, a home in.
Looking back now it's known that with this kind of revelation of love she'd definitely not be looking back but looking forward to the love that she never knew existed and will never end...
" Dear Melissa Rose, it's me again, it's always been me though. Today is the day I start again, from my fall I stand up again. Our dreams are in construction now. Today I'll get that job, believe me I will surpass the interview, and when I do, hands of the wall." Katie encouraged nearly in tears as she put down the flowers on Melrose 's grave then left. Melrose was short for Melissa Rose who was her best friend more of a sister from another mother and father, not long ago they had graduated ready to for fill their awaiting dreams when Melrose was brutally murdered. It has been a year now and time for Katherine to look forward.
Later that morning at eight sharp she sat on the blue leather luxury seat facing the impassivity of Edwardo Throne, the sixty four year old mastermind behind THORN inc. The reap hunter like man didn't break the intoxicating gaze, Making Katherine rather uncomfortable.
" So you said you live where? " he asked, he's voice so thunderous and taunting, he's aura would make intimidating an understatement.
" I live in San Diego ." she replied after sometime not moving an inch. What she couldn't say was that she lived in shelter home she'd been living in for almost seven years now.
" Mh..." he trailed as if looking for the right words to put the situation. " you'll with look after my son. Yes my son at all times, he's a nuisance, I'll be paying you big money for this. " he ended. Katherine began to smile, was this a way of saying she got the job, she nodded. " sign here" Edward ordered and she obliged instantly without reading the twenty page contract.
"You leave now. " he dismissed and shood her away before standing from his seat to exist the room. ' Does it mean I'm hired? ' she wondered.
Walking out of the building she sighed. 'wait!!! I'm hired!!!!!'. Thank you so much God. yayyy.' she jumped up in her pink stilettos and nearly fell. 'oh my, bank would be vacating mystudio by now.'
Katherine ran out to her car and started. The drive home from the city was twenty minutes, when Katherine got home she immediately pulled out the keys from the armchair and sprint towards her two room unit.
Surprisingly her door was still locked, she opened and found no trace of any men. " Thank God again!" was today just her lucky day.
Later that evening she told her uncle about the job. Katleho was bewildered, questioning if she'd used black magic but in the end they celebrated together on video call with spaghetti. " You know...Raeven asked me about you last week..and today again. did you guys perhaps fight or something, it felt strange." He asked.
" Oh...Hehe, we're....um.." Katherine hesitated and became teary, this went unnoticed by Katleo.
"Uncle KAT, we're just having a break." She ended.
"Oh" He replied in a fatherly way. Katleo was Katherine's father figure, He was also very protective of her.
"Okay,..so how old is this 'son' you're gonna be nannying?." Katleo asked.
" First if all....it's not nannying, I'll just be monitoring him as a nurse does. I think he's name is....wow, i actually didn't read. we'll see tomorrow " Katherine took a moment to register, she intensely began to fathom what she had done. She didn't read the contract. 'I got the Job either way.' she sat back in a relaxed expression and continued to talk to her Uncle.
" Alright, to the incredible Hospice and a new beginning for my queen. !" He cheered. ' A new beginning '
