Inventor Experiment (2): Gulp

"I-It is a success."

One human was holding a goblin, while the other running around avoiding attacks from the other goblin.

The one running around was holding a modified bow.

The normal wooden bow was now having a sharp dagger in one of its edges.

"It has separated stuff in it. The dagger part seems like it has a stronger physical attack."

"It is good that both of the weapons are hunt-type. What is the name anyway?"

"It is still the same 'Goblin Wooden Bow' like before."

"Ah! I thought it will change. It's a shame."

"Well, it is part of the testing anyway. Wanna kill them now?"

"Yeah. Let's do it."

Arceede began to change his move and start rushing to the opposite goblin.

He stabbed the unarmed goblin with the dagger-part of the bow.

The goblin he attacked was the original owner of the bow. And so, the upcoming event would answer his hypothesis.

"Aaahh.."

Both humans let out a disappointed sigh. Both bow and the dagger transfused to it became particles and gone.

"Unfortunate.."

Stabs.

Avia stabbed the leftover goblin and picked up the appraisal stone dropped.

Dunno if he was simply disappointed with what happened or not, but Arceede got a goosebump nonetheless.

He didn't know that the civilian in front of him was that merciless.

"Let's just continue to the 3rd wave."

"Let's take a moment. We can't easily steal or capture them. They are strong, you know?"

"Let's just do it and fail. We will try again afterward. I am level 9 now and one or two more death won't bring me to level 8."

"Okay then."

There was a limit to what they could do up to now. The 3rd wave of the Goblin Cavern was basically their limit.

Whenever they stole a weapon on that wave, an unpredicted attack would always hit them.

The assumed leader of the Hobgoblin was basically a hindrance to them.

"Okay, we are back again."

They improved a bit since the last run and could beat the other Hobgoblin effectively.

But nonetheless, they still died.

"This will be the third of the day."

Nod.

Once again they were facing the first wave of the goblin.

"Okay, I am pretty sure the next will leave an impact on the experiments."

"What is it?"

"Material. Let's just do it."

"Sure."

Avia captured the goblin, like before. He has been used to this kind of kidnapping thing now.

"Give me the appraisal stone."

He threw the prism to the 'scientist'.

"Geez, authorization level again."

Pfft.

There was a snort heard, but Arceede tried to keep his cool.

"Ah! Of course, that should work or I'll riot. Blueprint connects each material and gives the power of core, but basic materials should be enough for the test."

The one he put his confidence on was a stone he picked from the nearby ground.

He tried to start the experiment by transmuting it.

The stone gradually changed form as the warm-up. Then, he placed both experiments subject close to each other and started the next procedure.

"How is it?"

The stolen dagger was now tinted with hard brown-colored stone on its dull side. The grip was also covered with the stone and made it easier and steadier to hold.

"It's work. The name changed."

Both of them looked at each other for a few seconds and let out a joyful cry.

"What is the name? What is it?"

"Pruwal Stone Dagger."

"Wait, did this stone has a specific name on it?"

"Based on my appraisal, it only showed 'stone' on it."

"Well, it doesn't matter for now then. Let's proceed to the next stuff"

"Ugh! I feel uneasy about that."

"Nah, not yet. But, people in the forum have done the test already. There is no power level different even if you were going solo or full team."

"But still, do you think anyone can pass that 7th wave?"

"Maybe we could. If we are somehow able to form a party."

For them, the grind at this early level is not that worthy. They also have explored all the stuff relating to their class. Basically, among the players, they are already maxed. They have equipped the best gear currently available.

"Should we just increase our skill level?"
