22 CHAPTER 22: FEARSOME KING KONG

'KING KONG'

This beast looks almost like King Kong from the famous movie. If it stood tall it would roughly be 20 to 22 feet in height.

'Damn. So huge'

It has a big white demonic skull behind it's back. It is like a protective armour behind it's back. It has two arms like big pillars. It had two big sharp teeth protruding out from its mouth like an orc in the world of warcraft. There were lots of scars around its body. It had a long scar crossing over its face that makes it even more terrific.

Both of its eyes were dark red now.

Taylor felt a terror wrapping around his heart looking at the beast.

'It has gone berserk'

ROAR

It made a huge roar. The ground started to shake. Even Taylor who was hiding behind the tree, hundreds of feet away from the creature felt like the earth is shaking, losing his footsteps. As for the two poor souls running for their life. They tumbled down and fell to the ground.

King Kong put together both its hands on the ground and made a leap toward the fallen people while creating a small crater on the ground.

BOOM

With a single leap, it crossed about 40 feet and appeared in the air right above one of the fallen people. While still in the air the beast joined in both of its hands together and

BANG...

It smashed its hands on the poor individual under its huge body. A huge dent formed on the ground. As for what happened to that person without even looking at it, Taylor knows. Not wanting to see any more tragic scenes Taylor turned around and started to sprint back into the forest.

'Dying is a bad thing, but dying like this is worst of bad.'

Even though Taylor met lots of danger on his way to the outer region of the forest, it is not to this extent.

'How is there so much difference between a beast and a human being, when they are both on the same level.'

The difference in strength between humans and beasts becomes higher after they reach level 10. The power difference is so much apparent. But Taylor doesn't know that it is the same even before they reach level 10. He had extra 20 skill points than others and that has become his advantage to fight even with the beasts above his level. But others can only form a group and fight the same level beast.

The only difference is that beasts gain soul crystal after they reach level 10. This soul crystal helps in beasts growth in their respective attributes. For example, King Kong that played with the three people is a strength-oriented beast. Its soul crystal strength type.

For humans, they can select a class and train of special skills that will increase their combat power. The spirit bar comes into action combining with the skills that could even crash a mountain.

Even if humans become powerful they can't take the same level beast single-handedly. Because beasts are born with tough skins and bones, while humans are fragile in their starting point. So they need armour and weapon as an additional boost.

But a ten-person crew of level 10 can kill a level 10 beast effortlessly that too a wounded level 10 beast. The reason for their crew's defeat is that they met another beast on their path. That beast has nearly destroyed half of their crew. And at that juncture, King Kong too entered into the battle.

With no confidence in defeating both the beasts the crew spread out to escape, but the end was the same. They were killed by the berserk gone King King.

Boom

A massive beast fell down as it lost its legs. This is a level 7 Rhidon beast just like level 8 Rhidon beast just their colour is different. Then again a black light shined as its head got severed from the body.

Taylor sheathed his sword into the sheath.

{You have killed a level 7 Rhidon}

Taylor has used the same path he used to leave the forest region to return back here. Upon his way back, Taylor fought with a lot of level 4, level 5, and level 6 beast. Even when it became tiring to kill about 30 beasts in a single day, even as the energy in his body was drained, Taylor persisted.

He persisted because this is the only safe way to reach the Wolf Cave.

Taylor just now killed a level 7 Rhidon and still, he thinks this is the safe way back. Because this is the only known way to the wolf cave.

'A known danger is better than an unknown danger.'

The reason for him to get back to the cave is pretty simple. It will be a stabler place in the forest for the time being since he and Edward had slain all the beasts in the cave. And also since the level 10 King Kong is in the outer reaches, he wouldn't need to worry about its assault for the time being.

After killing the Rhidon, Taylor took its body into the inventory and left the place. And still half of his inventory is pretty much empty. One of the best features of the inventory is it has space to about hold fifty dead beasts body.

Actually, it's not that Taylor doesn't know how to process a beast carcass. It's just the half-day prior right after he escaped from King Kong, Taylor fought with a level 5 beast that looked like a bull but its whole body was red in colour. It had three tails on it's back.

Taylor killed it easily with just two moves, it wasn't a much of a threat to him. However, as he was processing the corpse, more than 10 levels 6 flame ostrich joined a party and attacked him. These flame ostriches attack with flames from their beak and legs. It would have been an easy fight.

'They are only level 6 beast, I can easily handle them.'

Is what Taylor thought to himself but things changed all of a sudden.

Their teamwork was hard to deal with. Those beasts create to much noise as they fight, Taylor was wary of attracting more beasts. With no other means, Taylor had to escape after only killing about two ostriches.

So he made a decision not to waste time in the place where the battle took place thereafter. Since it will invite unwarranted guests. And the health and mana potion in his inventory is running out.

One and half a day later, after meeting King Kong, Taylor reached the cave where he and Edward stayed. He climbed the cave and from there he started to survey the wolf cave for the possible threats. He thought rather than staying here outside, it will be safer inside the cave. Because Taylor came to a realization the beasts in this world can accomplish anything. As for as Taylor had analyzed, that King Kong can easily destroy this tree cave. So Wolf's cave is safe.

But he can't enter the wolf cave without surveying it properly,

'It has been one and a half day yet there isn't any wolf cub around the area'

On his way around the cave, Taylor checked and he couldn't find any wolf cubs or their footprints. Even if he and Edward killed all the wolves in the cave, there should be wolves cub left in there. And by now those wolf cubs should be out searching for food, but not a soul could be seen.

'Before me, some being had attained the wolves cave.'
