17 CHAPTER 17: HUNT BEGINS

It has been 3 hours since Taylor and Edward gave the materials to craft weapons. The blacksmith said to them that, he could make weapons that could be used to even kill a level 10 beast. Taylor ordered a spear. While fatty for twin daggers.

After that, they moved separately around the village to gather information about the beasts and the different professions. Even though Taylor selected to be Beast hunter. They want as much information as possible. Because information is wealth.

When they came back to the blacksmith shop, Taylor looked at the description of the equipment,

Despite the fact it is named as wolf mane spear, the neck bone of the wolf is used in the process of making the spear's head. That gives the higher attack power. As for Edwards twin daggers, they were made out of the level 4 wolf's fangs.

The spear gets high attack power while the dagger gets the attack speed. Seeing that, both Taylor and Edward paid the blacksmith and bought the ready-made basic armor for level 5. Finishing all their minimal works, they left to meet the village head.

The village head had set up the application booth for the hunt at the entrance of the village. Because not only other world people like them got to apply, even mercenaries of Fantasy World will come to register in here. So some of the otherworld people started to join hands with these mercenaries and apply for the battle mission. But Taylor and Edward just applied their names as a group and left.

They left the village and went to the forest area, for the hunt. On their way they saw lots of people of both the world go in teams, no less than ten members.

When they could almost see the border of the forest, Taylor and Edward moved toward the region where they hunted the Coast Wolf previously. Because, as per the information they got in the village, Coast Wolf run in groups. And mostly coast wolfs are level 4 and their packs leader will be level 5.

So instead of going to the unknown danger, it's better to go to a known danger.

Since they have upgraded their equipment, they are confident in fighting up to two Wolfs in a time. Hence it is the best spot for them to level up.

When they reached the spot, it took them 1 hour additionally than when they came here the first time. Because they have to be secretive about the whole thing from other people's eyes. If lots of people came here, it won't be good for them.

'Since people always go for the last kill. '

When they reached the place, Taylor said to Edward,

" Fatty let's hunt a red rabbit and spread its blood around, so the Wolfs will come for the target. "

Because from the last fight with the Wolf they learned, coast wolf is an agility oriented beast. So lots of tree helps in restricting its speed and also to corner it. Both Taylor and Edward hid behind the bush and waited for more than an hour. After about an hour, they saw a wolf spring and land before the rabbit's corpse. But it just smelled the rabbit and looked around.

'Thank god, we sprayed the powder we got from the village to hide our smell or else it would have found us. '

As they rejoiced and prepared to attack, two more wolfs walked towards that lone wolf. Seeing that Taylor thought,

" Fatty, I will throw my spear and kill the Wolf standing in the front. You will attack the Wolf in the right, I will go for the left. Got it"

However, the other two wolves reacted seeing their companion fall down, Taylor and Edward ran out of the bush and rushed towards the wolves. Seeing that wolves similarly rushed at them baring their fangs.

Edward ran towards the wolf on the right side and attacked it with a cross slash. As the blade cut Wolf's head and wounded it. Edward used shadow steps and moved to the side of the wolf. And attacked again.

While Taylor ran towards the left side Wolf, he made a ground roll when the wolf's attack almost reached him, he booted it with both his legs. By using that momentum he sprang towards the first Wolf's body and pulled out his spear from its head. Blood started to spray out of its head.

Before the left side wolf could daze out from his kick, Taylor made a slash-cut vertically in the wolf's stomach.

Upon his attack, Wolf howled and called out in pain, and planned to run away by jumping out of the bushes. Not giving Wolf a chance to escape, Taylor thrust the spear in its hind leg.

Due to the heavy hitters in the leg, the wolf's jump was halted. And it hit the ground losing rhythm. Taylor again pulled out the spear and attacked at Wolf's throat and ended its life with a heavy slice.

Edward also ended the fight on his side.

Quickly after the fight, they processed Wolf's bodies and moved away from there. Because the dead wolves pack or any other beasts might visit them having heard the battle sound. They don't want extra guests.

After two hours they again killed about two more wolves. And in the next three hours, their victim rate climbed about five wolves with a group of two and three.

They came to know the general location of the wolf packs hideout as they sighted more wolf hunt centering a region.

Now they hid in a tree cave, planning out their next move Taylor said while tearing a beef piece in half that they brought from the village, he gave half to Edward and half for himself.

"For almost 2 hours, we couldn't find any wolves. As per my guess, the wolf head must have become aware that someone is hunting its pack and called them back. "

Then he looked out at a rock cave far away and said,

" They must be in that cave. But the problem is, we don't know their numbers."

Edward said,
