15 CHAPTER 15: COAST WOLF
Roar...
As soon as they heard the thunderous roar, they couldn't stand balanced. Because the ground started to shake. When the shaking ground stabilized, Taylor said.
"Run Fatty, let's withdraw."
Screech
Another beast shouted.
Hearing that Edward too left the red rabbits carcass and started to move. They both ran far away from the forest edges and climbed a big boulder out of the forest reach.
By staying there they started to study the changes happening in the forest.
With fear comes the curiosity.
They could see a tremendous tree in the centre region of the forest is falling down, and the rumbling sound could be heard to the far off place they are. Dust formed reaching clouds. A large size fireball could be seen. After about 2 hours of the noisy fight, a large roar and shriek of two different beasts could be heard.
" Finally the fight came to an end. "
said Taylor.
" Wow... Boss, is this forest really only holding about level 10 beast. Why does it feel like level 50 beasts are fighting."
Asked Edward.
Because even though they couldn't even see the silhouette of those two beasts, they could guess how powerful they had to be to make the whole forest tremble with a single roar. During their fight hundred of large trees are destroyed like nothing.
" Okay, fatty here is the plan. Let's kill the red rabbits until we reach level 3 and after processing all the loot. We will go to the village again. They should know what is happening "
said Taylor.
Actually, he wants to leave the forest now. But without levelling up and running will only make them lose confidence. At least when they reach level 3 they can leave. With power comes confidence. They planned to move after an hour.
When both Taylor and Edward reached the outer area of the forest, they didn't go to the same spot where they killed the red rabbit. As some other beast could have come smelling the blood. So to be on the safer side, they moved a little far from that area and searched for the red rabbits. Since it's a level 2 beast and somewhat easy to kill, that too Taylor gained such insight after learning it's attack pattern, fire bullet.
After about twenty mins of relentless search, they both couldn't find the red rabbits or to say accurately they couldn't find any beast since the forest is too big. And to search while being always cautious of other beast is time-consuming. When they lost the hope to find the beast, Taylor saw a red rabbit coming out of a burrow.
' so all the beast went into hiding'
Taylor told Edward while pointing at the tree since Edward said he wanna solo a red rabbit.
" Look fatty, there is a red rabbit behind that tree. Go and kill it"
And Edward too saw the red rabbit and started running at it madly, exhibiting all his frustration of search. But when he ran, Taylor couldn't hear any noise of his steps. Taylor understood,
' Fatty is using ki and performing a movement technique. '
After reaching the red rabbit that is showing it's back towards him, Edward slashed towards it, with his twin blade. He didn't give the red rabbit any chance to react. His blade cut the red rabbit's head away from its body.
Before even the red rabbit could realize what struck it. It died.
Then Edward turned toward Taylor and gave a heroic pose.
Taylor thought,
' Perfect assassination. What did his family teach him'
Edward came towards Taylor and let out a happy laugh,
" Boss. I got a huge reward. I got a new skill shadow steps. And my spirit bar changed into a ki bar. Hereafter when I level up, I can rise the ki level in my body. I can reduce my training session. "
Taylor said,
" Don't always think about goofing off. Go and process that red rabbit. "
' I have to find a way to cultivate ki. This fatty is making me jealous. '
' when you have something for free you don't know it's real value, only who doesn't have it and wants it, knows the true value. same as family, love, and relationships which we take for granted. only when you lose it, you know it's true value.'
Thinking those words Taylor felt the sadness wash over him.
After processing the red rabbit, Edward put everything in his inventory. Then they hid behind a nearby bush and waited for the next one to appear. Approximately after about two mins, the next red rabbit emerged. This time Taylor killed it. Like that they killed about 10 red rabbits each. Upon which a screen popped out before them,
{ You have reached level 3}
While Edward was processing the last red rabbit's carcass, Taylor opened his stats page and put all the 5 stats point into strength. Upon which he felt like his whole body muscle tighten up.

At that time two red rabbits crossed them and ran away. Seeing at that Taylor shouted to Edward,
" Let's kill those..... "
Before he could finish a wolf jumped out right behind the red rabbits.
This Wolf has white fur on its body, it's about 150cm height.
' As tall as fatty. ' thought Taylor.
Seeing the bigger prey, the wolf stopped chasing the rabbits.
Taylor and Edward are both started to pull out their weapon at a slower pace not stimulating the wolf to attack. Taylor gave a nod towards Edward and attacked the wolf's leg with his spear. However, before his spearhead could reach it. The would wolf jumped back.
' shit. it has such high agility '
Edward moved too, as soon as Taylor attacked and slashed at the wolf's front leg. It again moved out of the attack range with top speed by moving sideways.
This time the Wolf attacked. It jumped at Taylor while baring its teeth towards his head. But Taylor tackled it with his spear by holding the spear horizontally, upon which wolf's mouth hit the body of the spear. Taylor fell down due to the wolf's weight. As ain assaulted his arms Taylor yelped.
Now Wolf stood above him and tried to bite his head. While Taylor holds the spear in his front and kept its mouth in the bay. Though, cracks started to appear on the body of the spear.
"Shit!!! Fatty attack now."
shouted Taylor.
Upon hearing that Edward attacked toward the wolf's stomach with a twin cross slash with his twin-blade by adding his ki into it. Which caused an x shape deep cut on the wolf's body. From which blood started to run out. However, it only reduced about 15% of Wolf's health bar.
As the Wolf received the attack in its body, it leaned towards the other side in force. Using that as his chance, Taylor pushed his spear that is stuck between the wolf's mouths in the same direction it leaned.
Due to this unexpected momentum, his 25 strength paid its cause, the Wolf fell down.
Boom... Dust flew due to Wolf's falling impact.
Cough...cough...
Taylor also freed himself and without wasting any time, he thrust his spear into the wolf's head with full force.
But as his spear's head whack the wolf's head, the spear body started to spread crack and broke down. Only the spearhead got stuck halfway through the wolf's head and stood there like a crown.
Distancing himself, Taylor looked at the wolf's health bar which retained almost 20%.
'What now?'
Was the question in both Taylor and Edwards's head.
